This Weekend

The house has been very hot at night for the last few days.  I usually tell Liz and anyone else that we have a great breeze.  Well because it has been hot I made sure all windows are open.  The ceiling fans and the window fans are all on.  I don’t want to use the AC.  Right now there is a breeze a very light breeze coming through.  The weather forecast is predicting thunderstorms in areas.  I hope it cools it off because it is becoming uncomfortable.

The whole thing with the checking account and why the charges I got were straightened out.  I have to really pay attention to the “funds available” a little better.  The guy who helped us suggested I use to do the checkbook and balancing the account.  I took a little bit of a look but didn’t sign up yet.  I thought I would do it with Liz this afternoon when we go over it.  We were supposed to do it yesterday after my trip to Oxford but both Liz and I were too tired.

Yesterday was a long but lovely day.  For some reason I woke up around 2 and didn’t really go back to sleep until I fed the cats at 6.  It was nearly 7 when I finally did get up and I watered the lawn, did a few things here and there and visited with neighbors before taking off to Oxford.

I left shortly before ten after placing an order to Nardelli’s up in Oxford. I stopped at the Chris’s house who were setting up for their Tag sale to shore some pictures in return they gave me some free cat stuff.  Once I got those in the car I took off. I made another pit stop for Gas and then finally got on the road.  I had to play with the GPS because one wasn’t working and the other did.   The ride was lovely.  I picked up the lunch and then headed to Joanie’s

I found Joanie sitting at her table in her wheelchair.  We sat at the table and began our visit.  We ate, talked, and laughed about everything.   We talked about our families.  Who had a job and who had their license.  It was great to hear and to find out that her grandson who is 16 got his license and is working in his home town.  We talked about the recent changes at work.  It was just around 2 when I left and headed home.  I have to admit I was exhausted and looking forward to get home.  I heard from Liz just about the time I was hitting Orange.

Once I got home I fell asleep on the couch.  I was starting to feel sick to my stomach. I ended up with the runs for a while.  I slept for about 45 minutes and got up and watched TV and surfing on the net.  I did do some chores such as sending the dishwasher through and folding some clothes.  I went to bed by 9:30.

Today is Tiger and Sky’s second birthday.  I sung to them a short while ago and they are both hanging out.  Hopefully they are keeping cool.

The peapod delivery will be here in a couple of hours (I hope) then it will be bingo.  I then will be doing high finances with Liz at her house.

The hose on the kitchen sink is broken it popped off this morning when I turned the water on.  I am going to have to call Liz’s friend to fix it.

Tonight is probably any marathon on TV and getting ready for work.

Yay Friday

I am so glad today is Friday.I woke up early again but stayed in bed for a bit.I didn’t lay down again after feeding the cats today.I did a little straightening up here and there.
I got a message from Livia last night letting me know I dated the check wrong and wanted a fresh one.I left another one with today’s date on it.I am just not sure when she is coming over.I didn’t want the house to look messed up after all the work she did.
The ride in was a bit anxiety filled.Several times I thought I was going to plow into the back of several cars.I wasn’t speeding but the cars in front of me didn’t seem to move.I was glad to get to the garage and then to the office.
In the morning I did some refunds and then spent time working on the readdress mail.It was about that time my guardian angel suggested I needed to do them (No kidding) and then as the afternoon progressed. She asked me to write up all that needs to be done because SR was upset that both of us were taking the beginning of next month…

i waited

I had been waiting since 10 to hear from AH my Easter Dinner host about dropping off the main dish to store in my refrigerator overnight.I was expecting her to call before coming. Well she called me around 4:30 to let me know that she didn’t need to come over she had managed to clean her own refrigerator.I had things that I wanted to do.
Liz ended up coming here for coffee and we got caught up with family news for the next hour. She brought me a choc bunny and flowers, and some sweets for breakfast and or desserts. She had mocked horror when I told her how the kitties were able to go in to a closet. She told me what was going on with her SIL in Waterbury and how this and the ride up to Waterbury was a bit much for Nelson.
I have been doing a few things here and there.Like folding clothes, doing the dishes, and very shortly cleaning up the bathroom-again.Earlier had the TV on and did some net browsing.
Oh and around 10 am this morning April the Giraffe finally had her baby.I can’t believe I …

I swear

I swear every time I go to do my taxes.I have issues whether it is internet connections, firewalls, or I have problems with my passwords.I started to get it set up around 8 and ended up using and I still have to fix it.Didn’t put info in that is needed. Will have to do it soon.
So Easter at my friend’s house.I have mixed feelings about it.It was a little hectic and awkward for me.The food phenomenal. The behavior of some really rude.I was asked to set the table yet this one woman who has only been here (in the country) five years doesn’t move.I didn’t want to wait for her to finish cutting something that could have been done in the kitchen.A few people spoke in Greek and when they know how to speak English whether it is limited or not.Everyone left me at the table with the old Greek lady who barely spoke English.I really didn’t appreciate it.The hostess interrupts her daughter while the daughter is speaking and doesn’t say excuse me.I let Roberta know when we were leavin…
