I should be at class but I woke up with  a headache this morning and decided I would take it easy and catch up on sleep and get rid of the headache.  It's gone now.  I paid some taxes and finally got to straightening somethings I have left all week.   I have a little bit more to do on both those.  I will do it later after bingo and the gym.   As it was predicted the rain came just around noon and one rumble of thunder.  It came  hard and then the sun came back out.  Just a little bit hotter.  Not sure if this will be the theme for the afternoon.  I may have to go on a walk early. I did forget to mention that this week there was some changes in the dynamics of the neighborhood.  The Flipped house around the corner have new owners.  I met them yesterday afternoon as small delegation greeted them.  Their POD delivery showed up at about 7:30 and my reaction was a mixed annoyance but when I actually met them...

Sorry for the disappearance its been fairly hectic after my 3 day weekend.  I have been focus ing on scanning and maybe doing the mail once this week.  I didn’t realize just how low morale was lately until I notice two colleagues spending a lot of time in my scanning room behind the door.  One was a union steward the other someone I consider a friend.  Apparently she was brought in for job related issues and she had what is being said a melt down and scared the living daylights out of the Supervisor which in turn caused him to inform the team that in the future when anyone needs to be brought in for “whatever” there will be witnesses.  Which is technically in our contract anyway.  He was blindsighted and everyone agreed.  He is such a great supervisor and his demeanor easy going and I am saddened that this could change things down the road.    I did say something along the lines of I was sorry to hear this happened and reassured him h...

1.         I am thankful for my family, warts and all.   Liz is resting  uncomfortably after having a surgical procedure done earlier this week.  Kidney stone trouble. 2.        I am thankful for my kitties.   They are doing well.  One has to have his annual Distemper shot this week. 3.         I am thankful for my job.  Been busy getting much accomplished.  Just have to stay focused. Union has a few things down the pike. 4.         I am thankful for the Medical profession that keeps me on the road to good health .. Need to keep getting to gym.  Didn’t go this morning. Yesterday was the kickoff to the CT Summer training program.  It started about 8 (breakfast served) and then everything started at 8:30.  We had a motivational Speaker speak to us after the opening remarks and welcome.   IT was really informational and good things learned about the work environment.  I got back to the office with the others around 11:30 and from there things got blurry.  I worked on the mail for the rest of the afternoon which meant nothing got scanned. I found out that Mom’s Friend Father Robley Whitson passed away last week.  My Friend Beth who’s Mom was also in the circle of friends with FR Whitson sent us messages.  I haven’t found an obituary but I found other sites that feature Fr Whitson .  There were some articles as well.  Very smart man. I put in for a vacation day on Friday so that I could take Sky to the Vet for his distemper shot.  It will be at 9:30 in the morning. I am trying to decide if it...

To all of you have a blessed Father’s Day.  It will be a fairly quiet one here.  My Father has been gone over 30 years.  My brother B has been gone nearly seven years now.  My Brother J is in Allentown.  I spoke to him via text.  He has some plans but not alot.  Not sure what BIL is doing probably quiet as well. Yesterday nearly killed me.  I had two exercise classes and did pretty well.  I like the renovations.  I also like our exercise classes are now in a separate area (as well as the personal training sessions) because you can’t be distracted except by myself.  It made me tired for the rest of the day.  Not tired enough to stop me from a walk.  It was just over two miles and maybe over an hour.  I went around 4 after chatting with a few of the neighbors.  It was about 75 degrees at one point.  When I got home from it I was really tired by then.  Nearly fell asleep on the couch. Aw man I am so looking forward to the dentist next week.  Wait! Wha?  Yeah I ordered steak and vegetables for dinner last night and my mouth was hurting especially where that tooth is.  I have been putting off calling the doctor because I knew I would be going soon.  It doesn’t hurt every day only when certain foods irritate it.  I believe the tooth is cracked but it doesn’t get any looser.  I swished with warm water and salt but didn’t do anything except maybe cause my hand swell. I did put some orajel on and it took time for the pain to go away.. So i have been home since 4:30.  Shortly after I got home a woman from an environmental group was looking for people to write letters to politicians on behalf of Citizens for environment.  I also gave them some money...i have information that its legitimate. Spent the rest of the night either watching NCIS:LA marathon, and updating some files and took a walk.  It wasn’t long walk but it help...

I feel like I am full of energy this morning.  I managed to get up and go to the gym and have class.  I had to leave it so I could shower, dress, and make it to the shuttle on time.  I did all that and managed to get coffee and got there early!. I was the only one at the first stop but  by the time we left West Campus it was full. So it's been five days in a row that I managed to get the shuttle.  I will be taking one after my session with Debra this evening. My hope is to continue it for next week.  I am debating whether or not to use the shuttle for Wednesday as it is also Meetup night. We didn’t have any problems until we got to the connector into the city where we see the end of an accident.  Three vehicles at different levels of damage. We didn’t have to wait long to pass it. From what I gather others did.  Hopefully that meant the cops were there. Since getting here I have been doing the mail.  Stuff that came late yes...

I am beginning to think the cosmos is testing me!  Yesterday I found out AC will be on vacation starting today.  She will be back next week but in the mean time DG is off until Monday.  Gargoyle/GA is off until Monday starting this afternoon. I have told Supervisor I will be heading to the cloning department to make more of me.  I even think that joke is getting old .  So just have to do my best and not worry about it. Yesterday was the annual picnic and it was great.  I got there just about the time they asked us to arrive.  THere were other events there (kids dinner). The food was great.  I tried everything, except the alcohol,, sushi, and most of the appetizers.  I showed PTAlex the food I had which seemed little. I had bbq chicken, rib, corn, salad, and almost every dessert (except the chocolate fountain).  I hung out with a number of people and finally sat with some of the claims department. I still haven’t posted the last two entries yet.  One needs to be edited or add more to it. I have just been too tired or too lazy? I should tell you the party on Saturday was great!  The house is beautiful the ride to there and back was just phenomenal.  I think I would love being there. according to Reena it's only 15 minutes to my town. The food was delicious and I ate everything including the desserts and food I wasn’t supposed to have.  I do feel bad that I didn’t bring anything of a gift. I really should have read this days earlier.  A part of me already knew it but she also said no need to bring anything.  I will know better the next time. There were ten of us I believe and others arrived a little later.  The conversations ranged from work (including that of our daily interaction with Gargoyle) then we talked about more pleasant subjects.  I left around 5 as R was having family after the party.
