I had the best time yesterday.    I left here a little after 10 and headed to Killingworth.   Unfortunately some trucker from Unifirst was being obnoxious by blowing his horn at me.   Admittedly I wasn’t speeding but I may have slid into his lane inadvertently.   Not my finest moment. It was just about then when I realized I could get the phone map to play through over the Bluetooth and I didn’t have to hold the phone or keep looking over at it.   Then again the phone was going wonky throughout the day so a few of the aps didn’t work for me.   Like the map my walk and my pedometer wigged out on me too. I can see the sun trying to come out and according to Cortana (the equivalent to google or Alexa) it’s partly Sunny and going into the 50s.   So that means I am going to take a walk.   It’s been days since I did a walk and my step numbers have been fairly low.    Besides I have seen the Star Wars Phantom Menace many times in the past. There is a show that I have become interested in lately.   It’s called Aerial America and each show features a particular city, town, state, location etc.   I love watching it.   One of the episodes today was about Dallas FT Worth TX.   It reminds me of those drone videos you can pull up on the YouTube Website.   Incidentally there are a lot of drone videos of almost anything you want to see.   So this maybe my new Weekend show until we get back to some normal routine. I didn’t sleep well last night.   I think it may have been the late day coffee or the fact I was watching the Star Wars Franchise marathon well until Midnight and fell asleep on the couch.   So I set the alarm for 7.    Much to the kitties chagrin I stayed in bed until 7.   Sky and Tiger stayed the night on the bed.   I also did some crossword puzzles and surfing the net. This morning we did our routine and I probably fell back to sleep again while watching the marathon again.   When I turned it off the Return of the Jedi was on.   For some reason TNT is intermixing “prequels” and the sequels with the original.   I believe Rogue One will be on again and then The Original trilogy will repeat and then the Force Awakens.   They have been showing the previews of the Last Jedi and that will be on next Saturday.   I was wondering if the Channel/Station would be airing the LOTR trilogy and the Hobbit and I found my answer. ...

The rain we had overnight ended just before daybreak.   The sun has been shining ever since.   It's about 50 degrees both here and back home.   I Didn’t bother to turn on the heat today.   Not sure if Mama is right about wasting oil by turning it up and down all the time.   I did a quick check and it seems to confirm her view. I heard from Mama overnight.   She answered a text of mine about food and she later asked if I needed the pen pal letters from 2006.   I have tried to explain to her that people who pen pal keep old letters for whatever reason (not sure if they eventually throw them out) but she either isn’t understanding it or not interested.   I sort of told her among some of our conversations about people not listening to me about things and this is just one of many things.   People are going to do what they want no matter what.   This reasoning annoys the crap out of me because my logic is “if they tell me what to do...

I had every intention of going out at lunchtime and getting a hearty salad from a salad shop around the corner from my office.  Everyone who went out had the cold coming off their bodies when they came back in!!!! At lunchtime it was 27 degrees and it went up to 30 mid afternoon.  So I got a salad from downstairs and didn’t go out until it was time for my session with Debra. The daytime temps for the weekend are supposed to be in the 30’s and teens and 20’s at night.  We aren’t supposed to get any rain or snow but clouds for the weekend. So I will be bundled up  for Sunday’s walk. Next weekend will have the rain and snow showers.  Great that’s the weekend I am taking the titans to the Vet.  That should be fun. Not so much. It's also the weekend for the meetup walk. I may have to take a trip to the library and print out some letters.  Well at least one letter if I get anywhere close to writing it this weekend.  Either that i need ot get...

I ended up going to bed my normal 10 pm time.  The kitties came with me for a few hours.  I did write some on the computer but not long.  I had warm milk and needed to get to bed.  I hung up the clothes in the laundry area and will put them away tonight when I get home.  The reason I decided to forgo the all nighter is I would be unable to function today in any capacity.   I was supposed to be here early so that MS and I could steam the very heavy winter coat I have been wearing.  IT didn’t happen.  I got here just before 8.  But we did do it at break time and it looks great.  MS has to leave early today. I was relieved when the committee meeting was cancelled today.  Mostly because of the holiday (  people were going to leave early etc).  We do have a membership meeting on the 16th (again). I emailed Liz this morning to find out the details for Thanksgiving.  It looks like the munchies are being served by 1...

Because I wasn’t feeling well last Thursday night  and the lack of sleep from it I barely did anything Friday.  I did some laundry, cleaned out one of the litter boxes, emptied the dishwasher only to fill it up again.   I made myself an early lunch of steak and potato and had yogurt.  I was not anxious to eat too much as my shoulder still hurt. I think the aches and pains are from the amount of cheese I had in the last couple of days.     I fell asleep for the afternoon watching the X Men double feature.   I did fold some of the clothes and sheets and put more laundry in.  You are probably wondering where all these clothes are coming from.  Some of them have been there a few days and needed refreshing.   When I didn’t fold the clothes I watched TV.  I actually sat through Hawaii 5-0 haven’t done that in months.  It's a good show.  It has done a few cross overs with the NCIS franchise (mostly the LA show...

It was a beautiful chilly and sunny day here in New England.   Love is abounding (somewhere).   I got a lovely e-card    with kitties in them from Liz last night.   I sent her one this morning and I sent one to Dr. T when she sent me one on Sunday.   I still have to send one to Jim. Work was pretty good.   I managed to get in on time and mailed out the refunds I had been working on the last few days.   I got more to just batch and mail out for someone else and that I started on near the end of the day.   We didn’t receive the health logic deliveries for two days and I am guessing it’s because of the weather up north.   I made my donation to the Power ball pool and hopefully we will get the numbers before Tomorrow.   I guess they are culminating that as I write this.   Good luck to my fellow lottery players.   I am thinking I should try it on my own sometime.   I tried to look up the site and had instructions...

The laptop was going through a major update and I couldn’t use it for nearly two days at least.  It felt like forever and I even turned it off last night and it started back up to the updating.  IT was nearly ¾’s done anyway. So while it was updating I used PC in my room.  Anyway this morning it was working and I could use it. My appointment with the Hematologist was good.  All the numbers were good.  No sight of BC, white cells were up, Anemia not showing.  He would like to see me lose weight.  I would too.  I see him again after the New Year.  I picked up dinner from Adams again this time it was chicken and bruschetta for the chips.  They were both good but I made an attempt to not to eat the rest of the bag of chips.  I thought for sure I would have aches and pains but not that much just the shoulder again. It is a beautiful night.  Soon after I got home tonight I opened the windows and sliding door.  The temperature in the house was 70 degrees even though the thermostat says 60.  Its also 70 degrees out too and is supposed to get into the 60’s over night and foggy.  It was so warm in the bedroom I turned on the ceiling fan.  I am not sure if the cats are scared of it or not Sky looked at it a little strangely.  I guess I will have to wait and see if they come on the bed or not tonight. I was expecting the cleaning lady to come and clean the house today but when I got home she hadn’t been here.  She called and left a message apologizing for not calling for the reminder yesterday so we talked and made it for next week.  That’s okay.   I managed to do some laundry tonight and get the dishwasher going.  The clothes are in the dryer and I can empty it tomorrow and I can empty the dishwasher tomorrow as well.   I was very happy to...

Dear Mom,     Well its after lunch time and I had my all time (at least one of my all time) favorite and lazy lunches.  That would be open faced grilled cheese sandwich.  I did it in the microwave.  I sat down and watched the first of the LOTR trilogy.      I sent a few emails to Jim to let him know its on and to let him know there were prayer cards and the obituary here for him.  He doesn’t want it mailed to him yet.  That means he must be coming up again. I also finished the laundry for now.  I can strip the bed sheets from your room tomorrow (yes I know I am putting off tomorrow what could be done today-sue me).  I should be doing other things too but also putting that off as well. I did manage to get two new pen pals.  One is from Florida and the other is from the mid-west. I am afraid that after the last entry all I managed to do is watch TV and eat more food.  I guess the spaghetti wasn’t enough food for me.  I spent the time watching various shows and movies including the Star Trek with Chris Pine.  That movie basically blows canon for the original series and movies out of the water. I did manage to talk to Liz about tomorrow’s activities.  We even discussed my wardrobe selections for the party.  It wasn’t a long discussion as both of us were tired from our weekend activities.  As it is I haven’t really done very much else with wardrobe choosing so I am leaving that until early morning.  I have several options and they can be decided in the morning since I am not going to bingo or church that early. I haven’t updated my health, NCIS, or my pen pal blog yet either.  I have a few things in mind for each but I am now really tired and so I think they will have to wait for another time.         July 13, 2013 My Dear Friends!     Good Morning I Hope your Saturday morning is well.  We have had a few rain showers already this morning making the air nice and cool.  I have NPR’s Morning progra m on in the background as well.     We had a wonderful visit from my cousin Mike I haven’t seen in a very long time.  He lives in Atlanta Duluth Georgia and was up here to escort his Mom back to her home in LaGrange.  She was here for a visit as well.  We talked about everything Family, politics, religion you know the whole range.  He left shortly before noon to get back to his cousins on his Mom’s side to spend time with them before leaving tomorrow.     The rest of my day will be dull compared to the morning activities.  Finishing my laundry that I started, watch TV (I think there is an NCIS marathon coming on shortly).  I do have emails to send out as well. Today was crazy busy.   There was road work down the street from our street and it caused a back up (It was the Oyster river repair job).   The commute home was even nuttier. There was a traffic delay from Fair Haven all the way to West Haven and so I had to take the long way around.   I got home for dinner by 6:40. When I did get to work I found lockbox waiting for me.   Before getting started I think I went and picked up stuff from ITS.   I spent the day working on the mail and got it done by 1:30.   I also worked on Re-address mail as well.   I made a dent in the Medical Society stuff.   From 2 pm until 6 I was scanning.   I have to tally the numbers to see how much I got done for Scanning. I woke up at 6 in the morning. I checked emails and saved them to the various files that I want to keep. I even had a response to my June 1 entry. Of course I responded. I even read previous entries from this date. I guess I wanted to get a start on the day. I have more laundry to do and so I wanted to get it done before it got too late again. Mom really wants me to hang the clothes I have left on the cedar chest in the spare room. I did move the tub of winter clothes back upstairs. I watched a little bit of TV there was nothing that really held my interest for long not even Mad Men. The horror of it all! Something about it just didn’t appeal to me. Most of you who read this blog or know me know I am not a late night talk show viewer.   I usually find the monologues stupid, boring and belittling.   The only times I will actually endure this crap is if a celebrity I like is on.   Last night was just that night.   They had First Lady Michelle Obama as the first guest.   She was funny, witty, and informative and I found the anecdotes about what life is like in the White House for the Obama’s to be very interesting.   They keep some form of normalcy in their lives despite the fish bowl existence.   She barely if at all touched on political issues.   She talked about the things she is involved with (the military, kids health).   Of course I loved the interview with Mark Harmon.   Jay did interrupt him a few times but it wasn’t as bad as usual.   I watched it a few more times on line. Okay it’s nearly 9 and I am really getting tired. As I had hoped I took a major break from the paper/file tossing gig from earlier today. It was fun. I have NCIS on the TV in the background 6th Season Bounce episode. I had season 8 “Dead Reflection” on the computer. It was great. Don installed the memory chips and it is extremely fast. Much better and I don’t have to worry no more.  \o/ the video kept going it wasn’t buffering the whole time. Says I won’t have to worry about it for a long time. I had very little trouble with Lulu. She didn’t want to get into the halter but after almost wrestling her into it. I got it on her and we went for a walk to her favorite poop place. I felt like the scene in the early Mark Harmon show where he is walking his dog and the dog smells everything pees everywhere. I am still recuperating from the Double Pneumonia. I spent most of the day watching TV or online or sleeping. I still get the muscle spasms but depending on the time of day it can be strong or light. I did some tossing and turning last night to get comfortable and it took some time but finally got to sleep. I do notice if I get upset it just makes it worse so I had to calm myself down. I started making the Phone squad messages last night. I only got as far as Janet’s number. Donna K didn’t reply back to me yet either. She really is a winner. I also called a couple of the girls on the bingo list to see if they would fill in for me. The girl did call back and say she would ask her parents. Telka sent me a couple of emails.
