I have no idea what my original entry for today was going to be but here it will be mixed in I am sure.     The numbness from the tooth extraction wore off just as I was going to bed.   My tooth was hurting a little then and a lot this morning.   I did take Tylenol and it’s a dull throb now.       I called the oral surgeon’s office and still must register online.   I am not anxious to do it now while at work.   Something tells me my schedule for next week will be changing a little more. I sent Liz a message and told her the results of last night. I haven’t heard from her yet.     This morning was fine.   The kitties went right upstairs to the cooler part of the house.   Sky has been lying in the hallway a lot and I found Tiger on my old bed (her regular spot).   I am going to have to go and get some of their canned food.   All I have is the blue buffalo no grain one.   It’s been there fo...

I came home to a clean home (save for the creepy crawly ants-again) and welcoming kitties.  Who were more interested in going into the cellar then being with their Mama.  I will remember this.  Now they are starting to congregate on my bed. I didn't do very much tonight.  I surfed the net, watched TV,  made dinner late of steak, and put the sheets in the wash and are now finishing up in the dryer. It was a beautiful afternoon and I kept the heat down to 60 and the windows opened for a bit.  The in-house temperature said 67 and it felt cool to me.  Felt better when I turned it up to 70 and closed the windows.  Now the heat is turned down for the night I expect it to be very cold in the morning. I was going to tell you my head is better but its not.  Every so often a slight turn or bending over or something pulls it and it hurts.  I really hope it goes away again soon.  It makes it hard to drive and to talk to people. I think the arthritis is acting up in my neck to the head.  Anytime I move my head it feels like someone is whacking it with something.  I took some Tylenol but it hasn’t kicked in yet and it really isn’t helping at all.  It didn’t seem to be that bad near the end of the day but I tried not to turn my head much. Jim, Liz and I are still trying to get together for lunch (now) on Saturday but I warned him that we had some furniture moving activity going on.   That is until Liz mentioned there was a glitch in that.  I wish she had called me before I called Mama and Papa and told them it would be this Saturday.  Something had come up for the guy that really needs the big bucks so Liz is working to get that one arranged. 

I came home instead of meeting with Debra today as my body was not cooperative.  I was pretty tired on top of it. I was on the computer for a bit when i got home. Then I  had dinner of soup. I have done some laundry.  Emptied dishwasher.  Now watching Ncis marathon with tiger sleeping on my legs. Sky is upstairs somewhere. I sent my rsvp to the baptism. It was on facebook. Now i just have to get a card. I think iam riding w sis and bil. It depends on how bil feels. Just one more day then the weekend. I may be doing thr sleep study tomorrow night

I had gotten up early to the kitties and to rain.  I did my normal routine before I fed the kittens and then had my coffee.  Once they were fed I went back to bed.  Eventually the kitties joined me for part of the day.  The Sun eventually came out for the afternoon and got warm.  It changed again at night. I did get up again for a breakfast and threw out some old stuff in the refrigerator.  I am sure  there is much more to throw out but my reasons for doing it was for the grocery list.  I was planning on going today but I see some new coupons and stuff on sale for tomorrow.   In the afternoon I did some odds and ends between laundry, cleaning out the litter boxes and a little bit of vacuuming.  I am not going to do that much cleaning since Livia is coming on Monday.  I hope.  At least that’s what we planned for last week when she didn’t come. I am feeling a little better with the help of the Tylenol but my back is hurting a little bit when I have to bend down.  I decided to call Debra and reschedule from OV to Phone session and she will call me later tonight.  I am hoping it won’t be during NCIS.  Although even if it is there is always the internet after midnight. I was pleasantly surprised to find both babies on the bed until they decided they wanted to wrestle on the bed.  I think Tiger yelped and got thrown off the bed but she came back and then they took off again.  I knew from past experiences even if it is in play not to get in the middle of it.  One could very easily turn on me.  I would later find out that one of them chewed the cell phone charger adapter. I talked to LIz today.  She was making plans to have someone do Mom’s taxes.  We discussed the fact they opened the closet door (and we may have to fix that one) and the laundry door.  She said she would try ...

Dear Mom, The rain storm came late last night and at time I could hear the wind through the house.  I also think it moved the chairs on the front porch.  That also didn’t help my arthritis much.   The rest of the day was humid and sunny.   the Pork fried rice (or did I say that last night?) I had for dinner last night  was also a major contributor.   During the day  I was  better.   By the end of today I was starting to get achy but I took tylenol.  I took the plaquenil after I had a bowl of cereal for dinner.  I was trying to be careful of what I ate and drank lots of water.  Getting into bed was fun I am hoping I don't have to get up much. Work went well.  I got a lot done but as always have more to do.  I am going to try and get in early and work on those piles.  Progress continues on the renovations for Compliance departments new space is moving along.  Registration department i...

Dear Mom     There was a beautiful sunrise this morning the sun was coming up bright orange while there were clouds everywhere else.   It took your breath away for sure.  Tonight will definitely be a different story.  Clouds have moved in and severe weather is being predicted for tonight along with coastal flooding.  I am expecting thunder and lightening.  Apparently many areas across the country is having bad weather.     I felt better this morning then I did yesterday and I am able to move a little better than before as well.  By the end of the day was a different story.  My feet swollen and my legs tired.  I was still able to get up and out of chairs better and it did take time to get out of the car.  I just have to remember that I need to lay off the cheese or anything with salt but you know how I am.  I was pretty cold for most of the afternoon.  I am fine now. Dear Mom,     I haven’t posted my last letter to you yet.  I got very tired and achy last night.  I ended up ordering pizza from Domino’s last night and it was very good and in good time.  It was a medium size and by the end of the night I finished it.       This morning I was  getting ready for bingo but I  also did some procrastinating.  I went to   Where's George site to see where the dollar bills I got back in change travelled from and the first one was only from West Haven.  I haven’t checked where the others went.     I did empty the garbage and the dryer before I left.  When I finally did manage  to get out of the house I ran into Sylvia and Boppy.  I caught up with their lives.  I told them  what I was up to as well.  I think I finally left for Bingo around 9:30.       When I got there I found that Natalie was there for the day...

Dear Mom, Well I found out why I have been in so much pain this past week. I have had muscle spasms. I suspected as such but was confirmed at the doctor this morning. Now on muscle relaxants and making an appointment for physical Therapist. Feeling better already.  I had such a bad one at work near the end of the day Sally T had to check on me.  By the time I got to the parking garage with Ann I couldn’t breath and it hurt so I called them and although I couldn’t get there in time.  I went home and right to bed.   I spent the rest of the afternoon watching TV and on the computer.  I did doze for a short time but its time for me to have more meds and to have dinner.  I did make phone calls to JIm to let him know the status (I had told him via email last night) and  to my co-workers.  I also posted to facebook.   I heard from Georgina today.  She is at home for the weekend but is currently working in East Haven.  She said he...

March 30, 2014 Dear Friends     Wow what happened to yesterday?  Well my day started off okay I had another sleepless  night into saturday .  I got my hair done and then spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching NCIS for a while.  Unfortunately I started getting a headache and ended up getting sick but still went out with M&R for dinner.  I was unable to eat any of my dinner .   We decided to forego the Military Whisk.  I still wasn’t feeling good and Mike wasn’t thrilled about going so we did drive up and gave them money for the tickets and then came home by 9. March 28, 2014 Dear Friends: Happy Friday to you...I hope all is well with you.  Last night was not quite what I had planned but it worked out.     I got home around 5 and as I got ready for the meet and greet I decided that I didn’t want to go and Mom encouraged that.  So I relaxed as much as I could.  Mom had a prescription at Costco so I went and picked that up and then came home and had cereal then went to the DTC.  I really should have stayed home! I was still having problems getting in and out of the car.  From the neck down  (even though I had taken Tylenol later on during the night/morning).  Getting on and off chairs was delightful and I also had a brain fart.  Tonight was the officers Elections and every year I nominate the current Chairman.  What I fail to remember is that usually he has someone (read: The Mayor) already doing it.   While I was trying to nominate the Chairman I couldn’t re...

February 8, 2014 Dear Friends:     The last  couple of days I have been rather busy and also not feeling that great.  Work was hectic with missing work on Wednesday.  That sort of put mail behind but not that much because some of it wasn’t delivered until the Friday.  I had to make a couple of trips to pick up the checks.  The first time they were not there.     I haven’t been feeling great for the last couple of days either.  My side still keeps bothering me but I have noticed not so bad.  I had been feeling sick to my stomach but that seems to be coming and going.   By the time I am sleeping the legs arms are achy again or feel like they are getting stiff.  My stomach hasn’t been good either.   It doesn’t stop me from eating but then I get to feeling  a little blah. Mom saw Dr. Lu yesterday.  It seems that next week they will start chemo-therapy and Mom is mulling over addition...

February 2, 2014 Dear Friends:     Oy!  It was a rough start to the day for me as I had gotten stomach sick (the d word) around 5 this morning.  I have an idea it was the peanut butter and the ginger candy and of course herbal tea.  Sleep was somewhat elusive because of the pain in my side.  Every time I moved to lay on my side it would be uncomfortable.  It happened again around 2:30.  Still not going to the doctor yet. Mom got up around 8 that’s fairly early for her these days.  She had a good sleep she tells me.  Liz came after the 11:30 mass to give her communion.  She even got dressed for it and didn’t get back into her pajamas either.  Of course she did say that her stomach wasn’t that great.  Before Liz left they discussed listening to music (mom’s got it going downstairs!) and Dr. Appointments for tomorrow.  After she left Mom and I talked while I had some thing to eat.  I was asking her about a list...

January 11, 2014 Dear Friends:     Ii is early Saturday morning and I am having a hard time getting up and getting going.  I didn’t sleep very well last night.  Every time I moved my knees and legs hurt.  I finally got up and took some Tylenol® or the Kirkland version and finally got some sleep.    The knees seem okay for now but I expect  it will start to hurt again later.  My alarm went off at 4 so I could get up and do laundry.  Guess what?  I ignored it.      I did spent a few minutes updating the birthday list and calendars for the birthdays that were not already on there.  I have a few more minutes to work on it and then I will be getting going.      It is cloudy and 44 degrees right now the temperatures are supposed to get into the 50’s and have rain all day.   That’s okay.  We will be inside playing the games and what not. December 4, 2013 Dear Friends:     Wow it was not too bad this morning weather wise.  IT was cold enough for frost but it is supposed to get in the 50’s today.  We are supposed to get showers late on tonight.   That being said Its Wednesday!  I can’t believe how fast the week is passing by.  I haven’t done much in the line of Holiday shopping/card preparations at all.  As usual by the time I get home I am too tired to do anything except watch TV and get ready for bed..    If I still feel good by the time I go home tonight I might get a few things.  I have to get some stuff during the weekend with the pups. December 2, 2013 Dear Friends:     As I predicted there was a lot of mail waiting for me when I got to work.  I did get to the office on time but stopped to see Mama Joanie.  Then I got right to work.  Considering I had to be able to sit at my desk.   I did try to minimize my chatting times especially with this volume of mail but I am not sure I was successful. I did manage to make an appointment for the car to get to the Mechanics for tomorrow.  So I  dropped it off after work tonight.  Any plans I had to try and shop got squashed.  However I am tired and my knee is still hurting this evening. August 4, 2013 Dear Friends: Well this will in all likelihood be my final entry for the night.  I am afraid my interrupted sleep from last night is catching up with me after all.  I am tired  and I don’t know how long I will be awake. I did manage to get the room vacuumed and some papers tossed.  I haven’t gone through the files as much as I did earlier but that will be for another day.  The closet needs a major reset but again that will be for another day.  The same goes for the desk.  I  did delete emails that weren’t directly too me.  I also answered some emails that needed answering. July 13, 2013 Dear Friends!           I hope your afternoon has been well.   As I had expected it’s been rather quiet.   We did have some more showers and that’s making it a little humid.   If it gets any warmer the fans will be going on quickly.   I ran some errands for Mom to our friends’ house to drop off a gift to them.   They were those mesh tents for food outdoors.   They were needed when we had dinner with them last week.   I did some web browsing and took a nap.              My hands and my right arm are starting to get achy again.   I haven’t had anything with salt yet that I know off but I think I am going to have to take some more aspirin soon.   I know that I have to reorder the plaquenil like tomorrow.   I seem to recall Dr. Becker telling me that the plaquenil not only helps the aches and the swelling but i...

The weather today was absolutely fabulous.  A little on the windy side but beautiful.  While it was wonderful here my thoughts drifted to the midwest and the west coast where both are dealing with terrible conditions.  The midwest was hit but an unusual M ay snowstorm that effects from MN all the way down towards Oklahoma..  California is experiencing t he worst wildfire in many years..  Four THousand homes are being lost.  School and universities canceling classes because of the fires.  Connecticut has some wildfire alerts in the northern part of the state as well as southeast part of the state.  My heart goes out to everyone in this unfortunate time..   Work was good I got a lot done and even managed a birthday song or two.  There was an employee participation meeting that I had to miss.   Apparently there was a picture of me in the presentation taken a couple of years back.  Several people mentioned it t...
