  This is going to be very quick.   I still have things to do before I leave tomorrow.   I have managed to get the car cleaned out as much as possible and vacuumed the rest of the house but as usual I am starting to wane in getting it done. When I left here this morning it was in the high 40s.   Even with the thermostat up to 68 it was still cold.   For the day it got to mid-50s.   The sun was out but didn’t help. Today was a good day.   I have batches ready to be scanned next week when I get more EOBS.      However, the correspondence and Refund Requests are caught up.    Yes, I realized I said the same thing last night.   I believed This week was going to be as equally busy as in previous weeks.   I made a dermatology, and I got an alert to sign up online.   That was unsuccessful.   The mammogram still needs to be scheduled, along with the endocrinologist. I have my daily work, between the claim forms scanning, mail etc.   There wasn’t much mail delivered but I have until Thursday to make sure all of it is up to date.   We are having a bosses’ Day lunch on Thursday, and I bought soda on Tuesday   I got the scanning for refund requests all caught up.   I have a few piles for the denials that are almost ready.   Everything else is done. It was very cold this week. I don’t want to pull out a heavy coat, but it is getting to the point where I may have to.   It was cold in the office as well.   Today GA sent out an email letting us know there was a call to fix it. ON Friday is my echogram and then my trip to Allentown.   I will be at their ...

    We had a great time at the restaurant. We had our dinner.   I had New England chowder and    grilled Shrimp with angel hair pasta, with Sun dried tomatoes and spinach and lots of garlic.   Liz had her standard chicken Parm and had a dessert. We were there for about an hour.   We talked about the Grove Street news that we learned this week.   I am not sure if I mentioned this earlier, but my family home is up for sale.   It would seem the couple who bought the house and did an absolutely wonderful job with updating   the house , have separated.   Their friends that live down the street are moving as well.   Their reason is the family is getting bigger and moving to another part of town. We also caught up with family activities between our cousin in Asheville, the rest of the Rivera clan, and Cheryl’s family (My Niece).   It was still daylight when we left for home.   I fell asleep for an hour and that’s whe...

  When I started writing this It was after midnight.   I did try and go to sleep at 10 but it didn’t work.   Honestly, I stripped the bed sheets and washed them but was too lazy to remake the bed.   I told myself I would do it when I got up.    I did make time to take ZQuil. Debra and I had our zoom call Tuesday.   It was great to see her.   The session was about 45 minutes.   We talked about the week.   We continued the same topics from last week.   We won’t be meeting next week.   Work that day was good even though I was exhausted.   I was a little nervous when I got up Monday morning.   I said I got up, but I really didn’t sleep much.   I wasn’t sure Joni got my message about the change in venue.   By the time I got to the restaurant I was relieved to find her waiting for me. The Reason I wanted to get to work early was I wanted to make sure the health logic for the last three days were printed out early and sorted early.   I believed I had a staff meeting at 9 but I learned I was wrong. I checked with the Supervisor. I had no idea what time I would be back from Lunch.   I was back by 2:30 but it was well worth it.   We talked about everything.   We were both fans of the NCIS TV Show and we talked about how it changed over the years and the fans, and the writing.   It was clear to hear the atmosphere on the set changed for her.   We also talked about growing up in our perspective towns.   As two o’clock approached we said goodbye and we left the restauran...

  Today was a beautiful day, it was sunny and 66 degrees and eventually into the 70s.   The weather is going to change tomorrow.   Rain in the morning.   I didn’t do very much this morning.   I didn’t go to church like I should have, didn’t check with President Martha about the ticket selling gig.   I watched TV and slept a little more.   I left for Laura’s just after 12 and got to her house a little after 1.   The traffic wasn’t that bad.   Downtown Old Saybrook had a couple of festivals going on, that’s when the traffic got a little heavy.   Waze had directed me to take the route by Saybrook Point resort and it was much closer to than I thought.   When I arrived Laura and her Parents were watching the Patriots and Dolphins game.   After a while her mother went for a walk, and we continued to watch.   Then Laura and I went for a drive to DD and then to the Saybrook Point resort and chatted until it was time for Laur...

  Hey everyone!   Its another beautiful Weekend.   It’s been a normal Saturday so far.   I slept in until 8 after getting up and feeding Sky.   I am slowly getting stuff cleaned up and hopefully it will be done by the end of the day. When I started this entry last week I didn’t sleep well.   I think I started it at 3 am on Tuesday morning.   It made the rest of the day very long.   I manage to get through the day with no incidence.   The rest of the week I slept better.   That is until Thursday my legs were acting weird.   That means I didn’t drink enough water earlier in the day.   I got up and did the bathroom breaks.   Sky was right there every night. The only Medical/Doctor appointments I had were with Debra and my OB/GYN appointment yesterday.   For My session with Debra, we had to have phone session.   The Zoom still is elusive.   Hopefully next week we will give it ago.   During the OB/GYN ...

  Well, the rain came late in the day as predicted.   It wasn’t much but it lasted well after I went to sleep.    It was pretty much the same today too.   I ended up not going to the porch fest after all.   I can’t help but wonder if that was a mistake or not.    The rest of the day I did a few things but mostly watched TV.   I made a meatloaf, and a couple of hamburgers.   I did laundry and finished it today. I heard from Sis around 1 yesterday and she sent a picture of the youngest kids.   With the “Arrived Safely”.   This morning, she sent several pictures of the kids.   They were great.   She is supposed to come home tomorrow sometime but I don’t know if that’s going to be possible.   It depends on the airline. My Brother Jim and Janis had a visit from our Niece Diane and Her husband Rogier yesterday and they sent me a picture of their visit.   I think that’s great.   I ended up not going to...

  Helene made an impact.   Liz’s Flight was just getting into SC yesterday, and the plane had to turn around and come back to Tweed (the local airport).   She told me that Saturday’s flight was going to be delayed as well.   She had to make other plans.   I was thinking she would be disappointed, but I talked with her later and she said she was going to try again last night for SC.   By the time I left for home she was leaving to be there at the airport by 6.   I sent her a text late last night, but I haven’t heard from her yet, but I expect something at a way decent hour than 7 in the morning.   I got a text from SIL Janis.   Big Brother came home today from the nursing home/rehab center.   Last I heard, he was napping.   I just hope he is going to be using the wheelchair and walker.   As you recall, we have had a gnat/fruit fly infestation at the office.   Guardian angel made calls and yesterday she was a complete bitch.   I snapped at her after she said some inappropriate things to me.     So, we barely spoke today.   I spent most of the afternoon scanning at work.   I think I did well, but I could be just kidding myself.   I am sure Supervisor Bob would have said something.   I had to show him a patient check I found under my desk that was nearly a year old.   I hadn’t seen it before and when I found it yesterday, I was afraid I would be in trouble.   He just reminded me to be careful in the future. My friend Jennifer was having a really bad day yesterday, and I know I encroached on her space a couple of times.   It worked itself out, but she was just going to lose it all around.   The equipment was not working right (it was happening to a few of us).   There was also the fact that she...

  As you know I went to bed early and I was glad I did.   I had a good sleep.   I did get up a couple of times but that was to go to the bathroom. When I finally got up, I fed Sky and then went back to bed for a little while.   Then got up and got ready for work and took the morning meds.   I managed to get my meds taken.   I still must do tonight’s. You know as I was getting dressed, I checked the blue pants I got from Women Within, and they are too stained to wear to work. I may have to get another pair. When I left, I headed to the post office to mail that return package for Liz.   It didn’t take long.   I let her know that it was done when I got to work.   I didn’t really sleep well last night and so I was really exhausted all day but managed to chip away at some of the backlog.   S pent the afternoon Scanning and preparing batches to be scanned.   Got to see team leader PBC who brought cupcakes.   I had one. The weather was cloudy and cool.   I wore a jacket sweater.   It was in the sixties when I got home this afternoon. We had a little bit of a drizzle a little while ago.   Not sure if we are supposed to get anymore tonight. I got dinner from Liz tonight. Fried chicken and corn on the cob.   Its all gone now.   She gave me a key chain with a Mustard seed in it and told me some stories about why she has it and who she gives it to.   She also told me stories about our mom.   I remember she told me about it before.    Although I was quite young when the stories took place.   Good morning, I hope you are enjoying this first day of fall.   It’s 62 out and its sunny.   The sky is spotted with clouds.   They are beautiful.   It’s supposed to get into the 70’s for the day and then down to the 60’s overnight.   There is a coastal flood alert/warning for today. Today is going to be a quiet day, I think.   I have some chores to do but I will probably put it off until Wednesday after my infusion.   Things are just getting started for the year with the Ladies Guild.   We had a meeting Monday Night to discuss the Auction night Dinner.   By the end of the week President Martha had a whole list of assignments and dates for the next couple of months.   I must read it over and see where I am at this point.      I am feeling a little overwhelmed and haven’t done anything yet.   For the last several weeks been getting emails about the Endicott College home coming and reunion weekend that’s ha...

  This week was nonstop.   All Week I have been catching up or at least trying to catch up with the mail (Health logic part) and scanning.   The staff Meeting was on Monday this past week.   Supervisor urged me to focus on it.   There have been training classes this past week and it was great to tsee people I haven’t seen in a while or only on zoom or contacted by email.   The rest of us were treated to pizza for three days.   It would have been four, but I went home early on Thursday. We had a short union Committee meeting on Thursday that I was able to attend from home.   EV forgot to cancel it because she was going to NY to pick up her daughter and go to a concert.   I love this woman, but She has done this several times this past year.   Anyway, we talked about the picnic.   Apparently, people griped about the food not being enough.   As someone else says there will always be someone complaining about something. ...

  Left on Thursday just before  1030.  Made stops at the bank and dunkin donuts.   Then headed to the highway .   I took my regular  route.   Traffic moved pretty well.  There were brief moments I started to doze.  So I had to make a few stops.   The first was to a rest stop.got coffee in Greenwich.  I was not far from. NY  so got going.  I still had two more hours to go. As i got through NY into New Jersey. I had to pull over a couple times.   I finally made it to my brother and sister-in-law’s house by 215. Janis Had text early letting Me know jim was going to be released to the rehab  sent that day.  She invited  me to come along.  By the time I got to their house it was decided I would meet them at the hospital.  So I got there probably by 2: 30.  He was still  In bed.  He was still having some issues with cognitive and memories.   I sat with him and chatted about ...

  For the last three days I have been trying to write this entry.   I got sidetracked, tired, and prepared for the trip to Allentown.   On Monday it was an all-around day to stay in my pajamas.   I watched TV, got on the computer.   Did some filing.   I do have more. Made some phone calls. Then did some cleaning as well   I finally found out why my cordless vacuum wasn’t working!   It was so clogged up. In the hose or stick. I got it almost two years ago. Anyway, it’s working for now, but this is something I need to be aware of.   I will say this. After a year and half, it should not be clogging in the stick part. I spoke to Brother J and made plans to go to Allentown at the end of the week (read: Tomorrow).   He wanted me to come today, but I told him I had prior commitments.   So, I cancelled all my weekend plans.   Late Monday afternoon I asked Next-door to watch the cat and to fix a light fixture for me.   When...

  It was a beautiful cool sunny morning.   I am afraid I didn’t sleep well.   I woke up a few times during the night and got on the phone to plat solitaire and finally got some sleep when it was time to get up.   I fed Sky and went back to sleep until 8. I was still tired by the time I left for church. I tried to take my blood pressure.   It’s still high but I don’t want to call the doctor.   I feel fine.   I don’t want the meds to change, they all taste horrible and make me gag.   Good morning! It’s almost ten and it’s 77 degrees and cloudy.   We are supposed to get rain later this afternoon.   I hope its after I get home from Lunch and grocery shopping. As the title of this essay (sue me) indicates, the first week of my two-week vacation is done.   I still have one more and I am looking forward to it.   A part of me got stuff done and as I sit here, I think could I have done more?   Probably, but I keep procrastinating. Tomorrow, I am helping with ticket sales for the Ladies Guild Dinner on Tuesday. There was supposed to be the Milford Walk Challenge, but I didn’t sign up for that.   Besides I haven’t been walking regularly to be in shape.   Monday, nothing planned.   A couple of doctor appointments, lab work, meetup, and a picnic next week.   It is a beautiful Friday morning. It's about 68° sunny and some clouds were supposed to be cloudy all day. I don't have much planned for today except housekeeping trying to pick up some stuff relaxing. Yesterday I made it to Peabody Museum. LG could not make it after all, so it took an hour and a half to get through it. The exhibits were great three floors I know that I missed some stuff, but I got to see Burke hall of dinosaurs the ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia Mesoamerican in Ancient Egyptian & Andean civilizations I guess they call it.   All names that probably mean nothing to anyone else.     TBH some of it was a little boring but I still enjoyed it.   Don’t tell anyone On the way home I called Mama Roberta, and we caught up on things for each of us.   She and Papa celebrated their birthdays and anniversaries on Tuesday with a dinner out.   She says they go out early in the morning or late at night when it is cooler.   They really do...
