  This past year I was invited to become a member of the New ENgland Regional/chapter Alumni Association of Linden Hall School for Girls.  In the months followed we had zoom meetings (that I ended up having to miss because of scheduling conflicts. In early spring a few of the girls organized our first in person meeting lunch for June.  It was held at Michael’s Harborside Restaurant in Newburyport MA.  I drove up that morning while the others drove in from New Hampshire, Maine, Mass.  We spent the next couple of hours talking of our memories of our time at Linden Hall. Near the end we got to discuss our goals and plans for the future of the chapter as we are the pilot.   We will be helping the alumnae association promote the school.   Even though I am making progress with the mail I am still behind.   I am also trying to keep up with the claim forms but the printers have not been working since the upgrade.   So I have a couple of patients to scan to the rep.   I am also trying to keep up with CD uploading and it’s hit a snag with one of them.     Good thing? We have Monday off for Martin Luther King’s Birthday. I almost missed the staff meeting and basically making sure we had our vaccines and boosters uploaded for them to have on record.   I did mine at lunch time.   Supervisor reviewed protocol for the time we can use (they pay for five days) it’s a one-time deal. The printer that prints out the HFCA claim form was working by lunchtime so after the meeting and after finishing the CD uploads (yes I caught up with those) I worked on mailing out the claim forms.   I think I was done by 2:30-3 and right about then I got an email from Supervisor asking me if the pr...

I had a great sleep last night.   I think I missed most of my Friday night radio program.   The alarms I set on the Boise still are not working but I really didn’t need one especially with the cats. They have been fed and I have had my coffee and I have been chatting with AB on the text.   She is up early too for some reason.   She noticed I was quiet last week.   I explained that I saw they were really working hard and didn’t want to get them distracted.   I told her I kept busy during the week. I managed to get online and found out a teacher from HS passed away yesterday.   The Obit isn’t online yet so I am not sure where she is-was from.   I sent a text to Dave because I think he had her for English during our HS careers.   I did my early morning check in with Jim.   I probably will hear from him later this morning.   I am wondering how he did at the gym yesterday.   I know he took a walk around the park across the str...

Another Monday has come and gone and the usual things happened.  The daily routine.  Yet I ended up a little late again.  Traffic wasn’t bad ( but the sun is going to get me killed one day). I was also going to get some things done before Livia came today.  The only thing I managed was to get the sheets out for the bed.  I wrote out a check for her to include the Christmas bonus.  The next time she is supposed to come is during Christmas week. Oh man...I forgot to track Saturday’s food intake.  The only thing I remember having is peas.  I had ribs i think for breakfast and lunch is really fuzzy.  I wasn’t sure how to show Alex my daily food diary until it hit me.  From the website! Every time I have an very busy weekend I usually like to have the following weekend or part of the weekend to relax and catchup.  Today is that day.  I don't have to be anywhere if I don't need to and its pretty cold out to boot so I want to stay in with the kitties.  I have some laundry to do and some cooking but nothing that needs to be done outside. I am sad to find out a dear friend of mine has a very sick kitty.  Jack has cancer and they don't know how long he has.  I met Jack a long time ago when I visited his Mom for our first "Andromeda" fan weekend.  At least i think that is the one.  I have followed Mardi ever since then and loved hearing about her babes.  I want her to know that we here in the  KP home are thinking of you and sending prayers. I don’t think I have used that title in an entry in quite some time but today was a good day to do so.   I was very busy all day and I felt I accomplished a lot and my desk still looks good.   Even though I wasn’t feeling that well in the morning but by midafternoon I was feeling better.   Then when I got home I had to go to the bathroom quick. Since I have been home I had some quiet time with Star on the couch.   A couple of times she has tried helping me type this.   Now she is staring at me.   Sky finally came down after I had my shower.   He followed me back upstairs while I got into my pajamas.   I opened the cellar door and both had gone down but both came back up.   I saw an article post on Facebook from PetMD regarding litterboxes and problems.   I can’t find the exact one that was on Facebook but I went to the actual website and they had pretty informative articles.   One of them is to have more litterboxes than a...

I haven’t been up too long and it felt great. Mom was up before me and reading her paper and having her morning coffee. I am not sure what she is doing today. I have my morning events minus church so I probably will see Sis. It looks like some of my classmates from Live Oaks School class of 77 had a mini-reunion in Florida. These four live in Florida near each other (well most of them do). I am not sure what they did probably have dinner and took pictures. It would be good if some of us could do that now. Mom’s class of 44 does that all the time and then when it is time for their big reunion they get together again. Unfortunately her class is getting smaller and smaller. I can’t believe it is in the mid 70’s at 8 in the morning. Some one yesterday mentioned it will be a very hot summer and it is starting already. Yes it certainly is. It is weird how fast the night goes by when you come home late from the work day. As you all know I worked until 4:30. I was able to finish the Post office mail but started working on the rest of lockbox. I also spent some time putting away stuff. I made some deliveries for Gayle and she wondered why I was still in the office. I told her I had an appointment at 5. She did tell me that she is trying to get me help with the mail. She also wanted me to know that next Monday the VIP’s from NEMG will be touring the office so we need to clear everything off. That means all the junk mail that is currently under my desk. All this news really made me anxious. On one hand I do need and some times want the help but on the other there may not be enough mail (I mean once I get the junk mail out of the way). My session with Debra went very well. We concentrated mostly on family stuff. On the possibility of death and what would happen to Mom and what would happen to me? How would I deal with all...

I have been up for about 30 minutes. I started my laundry early so I won’t have to worry about it later. I am thinking I will wear the outfit I had on for Adam and Olga’s reception. I probably will change my mind again later. Wanda G did say it was casual. It is over cast and cold out right now but no snow or rain yet. I need to get ready for the canvassing at the headquarters. I will probably do that for about two hours and then come home and do more stuff for tonight. According to Weather.com the storm has already started in the Mid-Atlantic States and is heading this way. I may check blogs to see if anyone is up this early writing about it.
