  Late last night I decided I would be going to Gillion’s house for the NYE.   I texted her saying I would be there.   So today, I will be resting and relaxing and then leave here just before 9.   By that time the cats will be fed, watered, and medicated.   I hope the weather holds off until I get home Saturday morning. I am glad Dave’s dinner isn’t until 2.   This will allow me to rest for some hours before I pick up the bread and bring it for the dinner.   Tomorrow will be mostly rain.   I hope that will keep people off the roads. I actually have to revise my budget for this past month.   There are a whole lot of things I didn’t record.   I know I am already in the red for January I have to admit that it took me a long time to get to sleep last night.   I had a late night snack of mixed vegetables and the next thing I knew I was running to the bathroom.   I had the runs.   It didn’t last long but oy it was uncomfor...

  We got the monthly newsletter from the Association and we got the results from the election and the budget and the end results of landscapers.   Apparently the previous company went out of business without telling their clients.   WE have a new landscaper and everything is right as rain.   However, HOA Fees are going up $9.     I know that’s not a big deal I have been paying $241 for the last year.   The HOA fees could have gone up $25 to $30 but they didn’t’.       It just threw me into a panic with everything else I am working on and I already sent out my payment last week.   I have managed to get the bathroom cleaned but somehow I found a couple of kitty litter pellets on the floor.   I don’t know where they come from.   I vacuumed and washed the floor.   I have to say it might be my Ovente vacuum cleaner.   It’s a POS The next room I did was the kitchen.   I had already washed down the co...

  This was post was going to be the last Thankful Thursday Post of 2021 but I didn’t do many of those this year either.   Needless to say I am thankful. I ended up not doing much for the day except going to the store and picking up the prescription and some milk and a container of frosting. I did some things around here and then got ready for the meetup.   Man it was stressful getting there.   It was raining but my vision was somewhat blurry and it felt like I was seeing things in three d.   For some reason Google maps didn’t take me straight to the diner.   It took me near Stephanie’s house (I clicked on Guilford link and it was in the middle of nowhere.   This Recess has been like every other year, it flies by quickly.   I have been trying to do stuff around the house (cleaning and organizing a little) but it ultimately goes to watching TV.   I have done some meetups (mostly with the Finding friends group) and trying to manage finances. I almost had a heart attack last night when I got a low balance alert from the credit union.   One of my investment funds automatically draws out money for their account and I had to move some money around.    I am really looking forward to pay day this week.   I have at least three things to shell out but I would also like to put some money into the savings to take care of the taxes next month. The Water Company sent out an email to their customers announcing they will be starting monthly billing in January instead of the Quarterly they have been doing over the years.   Now the water is paid by the condo association we haven’t had to do pay individually and n...

  Since I have been on recess from work I have been able to sleep in a little more than usual.   I actually get up and feed the cats and have gone back to bed until 8 in the morning.   Today was no different because I didn’t fall asleep until 3 or so.   I spent the time surfing the net, trying to catch up on some of F-lists, and updating calendars, and doing some crossword puzzles.   I have a headache. I put through some laundry and it should be finished soon.   All I need to do is fold the clothes on the cedar chest.   I will get those done. The Finding Friends meetup have two text messaging groups now.   There are about 13 or 14 on each.   Sometimes it’s confusing but I did learn a couple of things.   Stefanie whom I love despite some things she is fan of is not a big Fan of Mei and didn’t want to include her on the main text group.   I may have mentioned that at times I have not always felt comfortable around Mei.   So...

  Today is my Nephew Chris’s 45 th Birthday.   I sent him    message via FB.   AT least it absolves me from sending a card- again.   It’s been quite a while since I sent him a card.   I expect we will be getting pictures of how they spent his birthday.   I hope we get to see him in 2022.   It all depends on the Covid 19 paths. I did text his brother Rich and he confirmed he was feeling better.   I did the obligatory “did he need anything” and he didn’t.   I still don’t know if he is working or not but I do know he got it at a dart tournament. I have given you another gap again.    So here are the bullet points   *While I was dealing with being locked out and searching for my ID holder (later found it after I cancelled a credit card and debit card) my BIL fell and spend the last ten days in the hospital and in rehab.   He should be coming home before New Year’s Eve.   Until he is stronger and the most recent Variant of Covid has gone they won’t be getting many visitors. *My Nephew Rich has covid.   I haven’t seen him or talked with him but I understand he is doing better. *everyone else in my immediate family is fine. I learned my Cousin Donna’s husband was getting a stent put in due to a blood clot. *I received my monthly infusion a couple of weeks ago. * I had a good report from Hematologist.   I see him in March * While at pulmonary doctor decided I would be doing a home sleep study and then perhaps get a Cpap machine.   That will be in January. *I see the cardiologis...

  I can’t believe I didn’t make a bigger deal out of the fact that Friday was the 1 year anniversary that the cats and I moved out of the house and into my sisters for the weekend before getting into the condo.   My Sister had been getting reminders all week and she sent me pictures of me packing up the car.    To me the official moving in is more important.   I remember we had some big aggravations as the paperwork wasn’t completed by the time I moved out and so I could only unpack and leave things there but couldn’t sleep until that Monday afterwards.   The movers were supposed to come Friday but didn’t so they came Saturday when it rained.   It actually seems like a life time. This weekend has been a bit crazy.   WE are in the middle of rain storm.   Its been raining for most of the day and should stop by tomorrow.   I was out in it today.   I decided that I would take the patio umbrella in from outside.   I was out the...

  It certainly has been awhile hasn’t it?   I hope your holidays have been excellent.   Mine so far have.   Thanksgiving I spent it with Jim and his new Bride in Allentown.   The ride down was not bad.    I left work just around 3 and made it to the Connecticut Border by 4.   The traffic was slow moving an basically because of the Sun setting before 4. The Drive to the bridge formerly known as Tappan Zee was good but slow. I had only one problem and I missed the exit I needed I happened to be talking to my sister at the time.   I took the next exit and I was right as rain.   I made it to J&J’s by 7:15.   After some visiting and meeting a couple of the cats I headed to bed. Thanksgiving began with a breakfast for us and getting acquainted with the cats (who came into my room at night) we got ready for our late afternoon meal.   We had to pick up our catered meal from Wegman’s Grocery Store.   We had turkey (it was sli...

  My friend Lisa arrived a couple minutes after 1:30.   The sun was shining and warmer than I was expecting it to be.   I met her outside as I could see her driving up the driveway.   We came back into the house and I began showing her around.   First showed her Tiger who didn’t run away.    I showed her where sky was (he was under the blankets but also didn’t come out or run away.   We took a walk around and showed her the rest of the condos.   For the next two hours we talked about a lot of things.   I shared some stuff about the family.   Stuff like the family dynamics etc.   I told her how Liz is treating me at times.   We had lunch around 2:30 and within that hour the sky turned dark, windy, and It began to thunder and rain.   Good Morning everyone, its 42 degrees and sunny at the moment but will be changing later today as we are supposed to get rain, high winds, and perhaps hale.   As I just said to my brother via text that’s just great.   I am having a friend come for visit for lunch. This week has been a fairly busy and somewhat wild week.   I was ending up not writing anything because I was too tired and pretty much going to bed early for most of the week.   I say most but there were   a few nights I tried to stay up late and work. Last Sunday Sis and I had a rather uncomfortable discussion about finances.   She was insisting she look at them and I kept setting boundaries.   She came to the conclusion I was hiding stuff.   That I haven’t been doing as I promised getting the credit card balances down or staying on the budget.   That I must be “lying” about things to Debra or don’t tell Debra the whole story.   She qualified that statement with “N...

  Sometime after lunch I got the results of my test.   I checked in before I got the email alerting me they were posted.   These and all medical tests never can be in layman’s terms.   The gist is I basically don’t have it.   As usual they caution you about still taking precautions and stuff like that. So I let Liz know, and the girls from the group know.   I hadn’t told J&J but I will another time.    Now the coffee visit with Liz is on for tomorrow.   So I did the grocery shopping this evening. I took the time to order more litter.   I tried to change the item to a different brand but I was doing something wrong.   I was rushing through it and it was aggravating me.   Yesterday was J’s 71st birthday.   Now ask me if I did anything for his birthday?   That would be a    Whopping no.   What a wonderful sister I am.   I sent an ecard during the day; I did send him a text message.   I sent him HB on FB.   Several of my remote colleagues from administration including ML, MR, and the Clinical Operations team and credentialing all came in to clear out their desks.   This means the move is more real each day.   I caught up with a few of them.   TB became a Daddy in the past year or two. I guess he and his staff is moving to the building when we move upstairs.   Around 2:30 we got an alert there was a Bomb Threat on Campus.   Several buildings on the other side of town closer to the med school were evacuated because they may have had bombs in them.   Around quarter of five we then get message from the shuttle system saying the schedules and routes were altered because of the ...

  I haven’t done one of these in a long time. 1.         I am thankful for my family.   2.       I am thankful for my kitties.   3.       I am Thankful for my job 4.       I am thankful for my home 5.       I am thankful for my friends 6.       I am thankful my health   is status quo 7.       I am thankful for the community service groups I am in.
