Seventy-eight years ago one of the most incredible and historical moments in life occurred at Pearl Harbor when japan bombed the naval station there.   More than 2000 people died, causing the US to declare war on Japan.   Thus the US entered World War II.   Flags are requested and probably required to be lowered every year.    Early in the week there was a shooting at Pearl Harbor.   A 22 year old Navy Sailor shot several people and himself was unhappy with his Commanding officers and according to the papers had been undergoing counseling.   He had several administrative issues against him.   I believe there is an ongoing investigation.   ON Friday there was another shooting at Naval Base Pensacola.   This time a Saudi Arabian student who was vetted did the shooting that also is currently an active investigation.   This will not do well with relations with Saudi Arabia.   As one family member says Military bases are not ...

I would be very remiss if I didn’t acknowledge one of the most historical and prolific moments in the history of the US. Sixty-four years ago today in the pacific Islands of Hawaii was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was a pre-emptive strike against the US to prevent the military from participating in an attack in South East Asia. This action caused the US to enter into WW II. I have been home an hour. I managed to put the garbage out for pick up tomorrow. I still have to empty the rest of it around the house. I can do it tomorrow if I get up early enough. Mom was reheating the pork chops we had earlier in the week and cooked some spinach with garlic and it was delicious. The ride home was okay. The bus was full. The bus came just as I got to the bus stop. I did find a seat luckily. I did manage to move to a more comfortable seat towards the back. As we got to West Haven called Mom and the garage where I get my car serviced. I have to leave it off after the dentist...
