  by  katiegirl06460 February 13, 2023 Most of January I had been sick with an upper Respiratory Infection. I had a persistent cough that has since subsided. Would try to go to work just to come home again several times. I was exhausted. For a short time I had an enlarged heart but I think its better. Now I have a bruise foot that has been hurting for a while….hope it goes away soon. Last week we lost my 83 year old cousin. I am not sure how long he was sick. some of us found out by Facebook. I sent texts and emails to cousins that may not have heard. Apparently they did. This week I will have to let Tiger Lilly cross the Rainbow bridge. We had her annual check up and she is not doing well. She is very underweight and her back leg isn’t doing well either. If you recall about a couple of years ago we discovered she had cancer. I was lucky to have her another year but now its time to let her go. On Thursday afternoon we will say good bye.

  I have been back to work since the 12th from my birthday vacation.  During that time Guardian Angel had  arranged my desks, and suggested with the blessings from my supervisor to do the mail in the huddle room.  Where I have more room.  Even now she thinks I should do the claims there.  I told her no.  She is still opening and getting the mail that came in buckets while I was away and it's almost done. I also learned my first week back that Supervisor was able to hire a person and she started on Tuesday.  She has been excellent.  She learned very well.  She did some work today but had training for Epic and had the afternoon off.   Home stuff?  Well bills are getting paid and some are still there.  Still making a list of things to get repaired or replaced once the finances are completely eradicated.   Today is Sky’s turn to go see Dr.SashaG for his annual checkup.   I will put him in the crate just before we leave.   It is usually a stressful time for both any of us at that time.   He has been fed and watered but he has not been forthcoming with the poop.   That’s another reason I am delaying his crating.   Well maybe it will be easy to get him in the crate.   He just crawled under the covers.   Oh the crate door has been open all week.   However, Tiger has been more than willing to poop.   I guess she got tired of pooping on the bathroom floor and the shower stall because about 6 in the morning she was dropping the crap at the front door.   So in between writing I am deep cleaning the boxes.    Of course she was told it was naughty but if you follow me for a long time you know I don’t stay mad at them for long.   I always think of what was my part in it?   I have found Tiger in her normal spots for loun...

  I did as I thought I would.   I got the dusting done and vacuumed the office first.   I had to that’s where the vacuum was.   I finished the room and took it and left it right in the middle of the floor.   I decided to talk to Dave and we talked for nearly an hour.   We talked about everything including his brother in laws funeral yesterday. I asked him if he would make good on his offer to put the picture he gave me for my Birthday/Christmas present.   He said he could do it in a couple of weeks.   I explained that I wanted to get hung up in anticipation of Roberta’s first visit to my new home. After that conversation it was near lunch and so I made a beef patty and had lunch.   After that I ended up falling asleep for a while. I eventually got the vacuuming done but still had to do the bathroom and kitchen.   I have decided that I will get the more quiet things done and vacuum on Monday before my session with Debra, if possible...

  Today was the Tiger’s annual checkup at the vet.   I went to work in the morning and came home at lunch time.   I had it all planned out that I wouldn’t add stress to her and so I waited until just before 1:30 to put her in the crate.   It took a few moments but I got her in.   She was vocal for a good ten minutes and then stopped.   We left here around 20 of 2.   The place is literally 5 minutes away.   I was projecting how the whole thing would go with the vet.   Would she insist that now would be the right time to put Tiger down if whatever she has is progressive?   Would she insist Tiger get both vaccinations if I decline?   What happens if persist on knowing the fees for the vaccines or even x-rays. She didn’t and it was fine.   I did end up getting both shots.   The distemper is good for three years.   The rabies is yearly.   I might consider signing up for their program for $125 and the shots will be...

  I am so glad I won’t have to go out much today.   It is currently 7 degrees and sunny and the temperature isn’t expected to go past 19 degrees. If I do go out it will be for a few groceries.   I don’t need a lot this week.   I still have pasta to make, and hamburgers, and fish I hope. I will start the house cleaning shortly.   I am watching NCIS marathon on Paramount.   It’s the 6 th Season. This is the season we meet Gibbs Sr.   That episode will be on at 11.   I don’t remember what the other eps are. So what are the kitties up to?   Sky spent a lot of time roaming around vocalizing between last night and this morning.   He tried to leap up on to the dresser this morning and nearly fell backwards but I was there to catch him.   I let him stay there for a while.   It’s not the first time he has been up there.   The last few weeks I have found him in unexpected places, the bathroom sink/vanity is the most recent.   Today is my Nephew Chris’s 45 th Birthday.   I sent him    message via FB.   AT least it absolves me from sending a card- again.   It’s been quite a while since I sent him a card.   I expect we will be getting pictures of how they spent his birthday.   I hope we get to see him in 2022.   It all depends on the Covid 19 paths. I did text his brother Rich and he confirmed he was feeling better.   I did the obligatory “did he need anything” and he didn’t.   I still don’t know if he is working or not but I do know he got it at a dart tournament. I heard from Liz this evening.   I had sent her a text this morning but she never replied.   I figured she was resting up.   She had thought she replied.   Anyway she has been preparing for Nel’s return home tomorrow.   I believe she told me she has things in place in the shower, and around the house to help him walk.   She will also have aides to help care fo...

  This may be short as I am so tired.   After posting yesterday’s entry at 5 in the morning I went to sleep.    The cats were in a huff about that. We did our regular routine then went back to bed.   I woke up again around 8. I downed about 4 cups of coffee before my sister came over at noon.   I spent the time watching TV, picking up here and there and then showered. When Liz arrived, Tiger hurriedly headed to my room and sat under the bed while I found Sky under the blankets for the second time this weekend.   It was 80 degrees but I didn’t have the AC on but the fan. When she said down she said she was in a mood.   I laughingly said well if that’s the case go home. I wasn’t cranky but I was exhausted.   We never gave into the threats. We spent the next 4 hours talking about stuff.   We discussed how much we enjoyed the ghost/spirit walk Friday night.   My feet died by the end of the tour but I had the wrong shoes on. ...

  I got up early and fed the best kitties ever.    I was relieved that there were no messes on the bathroom floor this morning.   So they got the appropriate praise.   They looked at me and waited to be fed.    I made some coffee first because I had gone to bed sometime after midnight I fell asleep in the middle of the star trek movie marathon.   It starts up later today so I may watch it. I opened the windows already it feels nice.   I am not sure how long that’s going to last.   I noticed that a tree has already changed its leaves.   It was in the high 50’s by 7.   It was 80 degrees all day and sunny. I took a look at the map and times for travel for the hike tonight in Vernon and   as much as I would like to go I would have to leave at 4 to get there on time (they are meeting at five thirty)   and I wouldn’t get home until   9:30.   I am not familiar with the area up there.   I know that in th...

  Friday was an anniversary or two my family said goodbye to Mom as she succumbed to pancreatic cancer.   She died with us around her and the Nursing staff that Liz got for her so that she would not die in a nursing home or hospital.   It was a very stressful and hard time.   Relationships were strained between siblings; I continued to work while mom was being cared for until the final days.   So called friends would interfere in things they had no right to.   In the days leading up to the funeral some preparations had changed.   Jim had gone home to do some things and returned in time for the funeral service and his family followed.   I remember how annoyed Liz was at his behavior and treatment of her.   It frustrated me because it was unnecessary.   Just as we were saying goodbye to Mom, the world was welcoming a four different short haired kittens.   They were eventually brought to Woodbridge Animal shelter.   Where they...

  Sorry for the disappearing for the last few days.   I started entries at work but never finish them and I have gone back to the old way of writing. Unfortunately, I tend to forget what has happened or something else comes up. Work has been good.    I had to do the mail more than usual that day as DG was off and the way she wanted me to do it got me confused.   It’s the way she dates it the day before when certain parts of it come in.   I hope I did it the way she wants me:   Whenever the Health logic portion came it was dated the day it came in not the date it on the paper.    Believe me it confused me when she told me how she wanted it done.   I felt like I was doing a lot of multitasking not only Friday or but Thursday as well because AC started her vacation but I don’t think it started off well as she wasn’t feeling well before she left on Tuesday.     I Hope she was okay.   I have been tired this week and not up to writing too much. So I am doing a general entry to cover all the bases.     Condo is good.   Did the normal cleaning last weekend and had time for a visit with my sister at the same time.   We got to watch a couple of deer in the wooded area behind the condo for a short time as well.   Found out I have a credit balance for the condo fees but I figure maybe at the end of the year I will get a slight refund.   The washer machine is acting kind of noisy and I am not sure what the deal is.   I am not anxious to get it looked at just yet.     I have been visiting with some more neighbors.   The unit right next to me and another couple three doors/units down.   It was the one whose wife is in the nursing home and the husband went to FL to be with his family.   He came back in the last couple of weeks.   I spoke to President Frank recently and we talked about maintenanc...

  Earlier this afternoon I received a call from the Vet and Princess Tiger lily is fine.   I just have to keep feeding her more I also have to get that delightful fecal specimen and bring it to them.   They want to see her in six weeks.   That will be fine because that’s when I will be bringing her to get her nails trimmed again. I hope it will not be as expensive as it was this time.   I still have to go through the annual checkup for Sky in two weeks    it will be the same amount I am guessing.   This makes it very easy not to send them to the vets with all this fees and cost.   No I am not planning on getting pet insurance.   It’s an expense I can’t afford ever. Anyway, we are just sitting here on the couch quietly.   They are sleeping and I am surfing the net and trying to figure out what’s on tonight.   TVguide.com site did a major overhaul and is completely useless.   I thought I had it figured out but now I am n...

  Ya remember when I wrote Friday that I was feeling better and I talked to my sister>> well that was short lived.   The headache was back and I was heading home from picking up my regular prescriptions.   I called Liz back for something I can’t remember what and we got to talking about how my niece saw the picture of the cats on the brand new furniture. It pissed both of them off and she was angry but she didn’t sound it when she hung up.   But I was angry.   I ended up calling Mama Roberta and ranted to her about it for nearly an hour or more.   We then discussed the credit card stuff and she wanted to now the interest rates and ending dates on the statements.   She explained that if it adds up to the minimum payment that’s fine but if doesn’t (like adding more) then it could be against me.
