Ever since I found out there was an easy hiking trail in the
area I have wanted to go to it. It is
called The
Racebrook Tract. It is in Orange and
about 7 miles from here. It is
considered to be easy to moderate hike and it’s in a beautiful area. I invited Dave and Jim (his partner) to join
me at 11:30. It is going to be cool
temperatures (45 to 50 degrees) so I am going to break out a sweat shirt with
my work out clothes. I don’t normally
wear socks but I think today I will. AS
I am reading the link I posted above I should not be surprised to know that
there is a connection to the Yale forestry school. I am very excited that it will cross into Woodbridge
which is beautiful farm land and rural area.
In all likelihood I won’t be taking pictures I tend to forget but I am
sure Dave and Jim will remind me.
So I went to Wallingford yesterday. The ride was nice even though it rained a
little. When I got there no one else
from the meetup was there. I waited for
about prerequisite 15 minutes then left and stopped at the local Petco and got
the food for the cats. The ride home was
uneventful and the sun was breaking out from behind the clouds as I reached
Orange. It went back in a short time later.
When I got home I checked on the chicken dish and had
some. It was not finished. So I cooked it for another hour or so. It was okay.
I put it in the refrigerator and cleaned up the kitchen.
The cats were fed during all that and they were indignant that
I waited so long. They will get over
it. They will have to when Liz feeds
them the weekend I am in Allentown. She
won’t do it at the crack of dawn like I do.
The rest of the night was pretty quiet. Finished posting yesterday’s entry and mailed
a copy to Debra and checked on websites and of course checked my snail mail.
Just as Sideri wrote in her reply the letter from Human
resources was nothing more than informational about Insurances benefits. I will scan it and put in the file and then
shred it on Monday. I worried for
nothing.
I heard from Jim yesterday.
He asked if I could be at his house by noon for our post-thanksgiving
holiday so that means I will be leaving early that day to get there. I think I may have promised to bake
something. I need to make it easy. I will think about it.
I have heard from Mama R.
She says Miriam is safe but could see the fire from her window. The wedding Venue is also safe. Thank goodness for that. WE talked more about the election and the
process that has to be done now.
My plans for the rest of the day are to clean the house and
get the closet done. I hope I can get
some of this done before I get lazy again.
This week should be a normal week.
