  After having a fairly uplifting day between the credit cards getting their payments and getting the paycheck pay raise things didn’t go as planned when i got home. I got home settled in and started cooking the chicken and feeding the cats and then checking emails and learning that the DTC meeting was last night.   I was having a hard time with connecting to zoom last night and during the meeting when Chairman Rich was speaking the sound and the interference was abominable.  LUckily it was over by 8:30 because right after that I had no internet service.   I checked the lines and unplugged and nothing.  I had made plans to transfer all the scanning I did at work for my personal files to the laptop so I couldn't do that.  I wanted to update my budget until 9.   I finally called the Provider and for the next couple of hours we worked on it.  It was nothing on their side so now he is sending a tech this afternoon.   I hope the guy come...

    I keep saying I like writing in blogs because it gives the world or anyone who is interested view of my life or the way I see things.   I would start the entries but end up not finishing them.   It can be frustrating because I try to go back and finish them and forget where I left off.   Sometimes If I missed the days I delete them from the computer. The condo search is at a standstill for the moment.   We had the inspection and he made the concerns known.   The windows were not a surprise and neither was the fact the garage will have to come down.   That won’t be our responsibility but that of the new owners.   At his urging I had the furnace cleaned last week.   This weekend had issue with the thermostat not working properly.   A couple of times the heat was up to 90 plus and I had it set at mid-60.   Yesterday I walked in here and nearly suffocated it was so hot.   The cats looked pitiful.   I called the ...

It is Friday again and it’s Humid.   It is overcast right now and it is expected to start raining around 1 and go for the rest of the day into the night.   If you have been following me for a while now I love weekend nights like that.   I am hoping more rain will revive the lawn a little more.   This is the beginning of the holiday weekend.   People are getting their yards done and preparing for the limited parties they may have this weekend.   Unfortunately right now feels like any other weekend to me.   I wonder if this is how retirees feel.    Well My hope is that this time next week I will be back in my office doing the job I have been doing for 18 years (I have been at the University for 28 years).   I still have a couple of things to do before I go back (classes and review).     I have been avoiding the emails like the plague.   I have until Wednesday to do them. It is another day of hot temperatures.   It is currently 83.   It will get no hotter than 86.   It got in to the 90’s Monday and mid 80’s yesterday.   It only rained for a brief time early this morning.   It looked like it was going to rain more but it didn’t and the sun came out.   I am glad because if it didn’t the meetup this afternoon would be cancelled or postponed.   I called JOC this morning to offer we drive up together to the meetup.   We agreed and I will be picking her up at 5 and from there go to Branford.   Her foot was a little better but wasn’t really anxious to push it.   She was a little concerned about the drive up there but then she thought she was being overly paranoid about the whole situation.   This time last week I was working on budgets and that’s an ongoing thing.   I was also on a search for a misplaced CC and had to order a new one.   Well the new one came and any guesses what I found yester...

I was checking the informed delivery from USPS and nearly choked on my tongue I was getting my insurance bill and I wasn’t sure if it was the house insurance or the car insurance part.   I am relieved to say it’s not the house one but I am expecting it eventually.    It is not due for another three weeks.   Besides I looked on the payments and the house insurance was paid two months ago and won’t need it again until next year (I hope). I also got another vehicle service notification which means I have to activate it.   I really don’t want to have paid more than I have to for the service.   So I will call them tomorrow. I also requested a refund for the gloves as they haven’t gotten here yet and they were supposed to be here by now.   The company has processed the refund and it should be in my account by next week. I haven’t checked the email for VPN instructions.   I will have to do it sometime soon because I will have to put in for 6.5 hour...

In Light of the recent announcement from LiveJournal and Dreamwith .com of the recent data breach I need to be very careful of what I post and where.   Yesterday I posted one of the entries that discussed one of the scholarship presentations. I may have shared some things that should not have been said on that public part of the platform.   I have made the mistake many times and I usually share it to the journal group on that platform where it is private.   I have deleted that post after I noticed that Mama replied.   I will call her later and explain why she won’t be able to find it again.   You also probably noticed you were not able to open the link from my sister’s message to me.   I tried to open it from this end and it couldn’t.   I think it may have been for the best.   I guess you can hyperlink websites and not necessarily emails like that.   She was basically trying to show me why lawyer was doing what he was doing. Its Monday again!   The day like all the previous weeks is going by fast.   I woke up after 5:30 but because I didn’t go to sleep until way after 1 I knew this would be the outcome.   The kitties slept with me almost the whole night.   Sky didn’t come up right away (he usually takes about an hour before he does).   Sky came and got me at 5:30 and that’s when I popped up and got ready for the day.   The normal morning routine.   I started getting ready for work around 6:20 and while I did that kept checking the counter and the floor.   Neither were damp or had puddles on them.   That confirms that the window at the sink east side of the house is going to be a problem.   I meant to tell Liz when I was texting her, but I want or should tell Lawyer Bob first. I have tried to write entries several times this week but every time I got side tracked.   I got diverted by important stuff like medical Appointments, work, and sleep.        I would like to tell you I was doing what I was tasked to do for ever.   I haven’t done any clearing out of anything.   I have been too tired at night and by the time I got home this weekend I was exhausted.      I have only been to the gym twice this past week and was supposed to go today.   I had every intention of going today until I saw the class was at 9:30 and I thought it was too early.    I have no idea why there wasn’t an 11:30 class but I definitely am going tomorrow.        I didn’t get to go to the coffee talk session as it was cancelled although it looks like people went?   My first thought was if they are starting to play games I will reconsider going to that.      ...

Well let's see this time last week we just finished with Christmas. And I was in the middle my recess from work and taking care of the critters I'm doing pretty well I thought. Able to spend time with Tina and our annual trek to the museums and we are planning for another activity sometime soon. The weather was pretty nice.  Some sun some clouds, very little snow, and the temperatures range from the 30s which was normal almost 50. By the end of the week we had some rain again. I didn’t get to the gym regularly during the week.  I will have to make a concerted effort in the days and weeks ahead considering the 6 week challenge is coming up at by the end of the month. Did cancel out on a couple finding friends Meetup. But I won't be doing that this month or year. Or at least that's my hope. DEar Debra: It is New Years Eve Day.  My day isn’t going fast yet.  I had a rather unexpected evening.  I was getting sick to my stomach after eating almost entire package of english biscuits.  I am not sure the entire timeline but it wasn’t fun. The sun was out this morning and I headed to the house and get showered and ready for the day.  I went to the bakery and got the loaves of the stuffed breads. I learned they are opened tomorrow (which could have been better).  Next year I will consider that. My Dentist appointment was delayed to 10:15 so that allowed me to drop off the loaves to Dave’s place and we had an opportunity to catch up and talk about the holidays.  Of course we talked so long I was slightly late for my appointment.
