I am so glad today is Friday.    I woke up early again but stayed in bed for a bit.   I didn’t lay down again after feeding the cats today.    I did a little straightening up here and there.   I got a message from Livia last night letting me know I dated the check wrong and wanted a fresh one.   I left another one with today’s date on it.   I am just not sure when she is coming over.   I didn’t want the house to look messed up after all the work she did. The ride in was a bit anxiety filled.   Several times I thought I was going to plow into the back of several cars.   I wasn’t speeding but the cars in front of me didn’t seem to move.   I was glad to get to the garage and then to the office. I am so not going to move the rest of the night.   I have been home just about 15 minutes from my session with Debra.    WE had a good session and as usual it went by too fast.   Work was fine busy.   The winners of the raffles were picked today and several from the office won (not me).   Everything was fine.   Worked mostly on refunds.   Not a lot of mail.                 I had a lot of coffee today only because I woke up at quarter of 4 this morning.   I had some things on my mind and eventually let it go.   I stayed in bed until the alarm went off and got up and did the normal routine.   Once the kitties were fed I laid down on the couch and watched TV.   I did get some internet time in before leaving for work.                 I was supposed to go to the DTC but since...

After several days of rain, snow, and clouds we finally got some sun this week.  It will not be for long though.   IT is supposed to get messy Friday into Saturday (again).  We still need it parts of the state are still in drought mode.  Last weekend was the baby sprinkle and it went well despite the usual underlying tension between family members.   There were a lot of beautiful gifts and clothes.  Even Big Brother Luca got some stuff as well.  The expected arrival of baby Girl S is on the 17 th and apparently it will be C-section.   The international dinner at Beth-El Shelter was a huge success.  As always a variety of different foods and desserts and of course a full house.  I believe some of the girls got a real Eye opening experience for their first time.  Our monthly meeting will be on April 3 instead of in two weeks (Its April vacation).  Later on in the month is the fashion show, we have some ot...

Today was a day for coffee lots of coffee unfortunately it was mostly decaf except for one late in the day.   It was a cold, rainy day.   It is going to be like this until later tonight.   The weatherman promises sunshine for the next two days. Then back to the rain by the end of the week and into the beginning of the weekend.   I have heard this is helping the drought a little at a time.   Again still have a ways to go.   I am sorry to hear that in the southern states were really hit by softball sized hail and lots of rain.    I wonder if that will happen to us come the spring or summer. I continue to be busy at work.   This morning I spent two hours pulling EOB requests.   There were a couple I couldn’t find so I handed it to Supervisor and he had to print them out because they were EFT.   AC found one that I couldn’t (although I did see it but was unsure it was) find. Today is one of those blah rainy and cold days you would like to roll over and fall back to sleep.   I almost did that this morning.   I turned the alarm off patted Sky on the head (he was my furry snooze button).   Went back to sleep until 6.   Did our morning routine; then get ready for work. I managed to steal a few minutes on the computer. I got to work exactly at 8 and jumped into the work.   I did the EOB pulling/search and then got coffee and worked on the refunds all morning. We also had a fire in the building this time it was from one of the labs.   If and when the time comes I want our new office to be in a building Lab free.   I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have gotten in the elevator and one of the lab rats is carrying something or pushing a cart with whatever on it.   They are supposed to use the freight or service elevator.   This discussion I had with one of my co-workers and we both agree and believe they sh...

I am sitting in my living room watching the 60 minute piece on fake news and how it is perpetrated and how much it is believed and used.   One of the guys who is a radio guy is an idiot.   It is just a piece to remind us all to be care full of the things we read on the various sites.   This is an issue in a few of the message boards for NCIs I frequent.   We are constantly reminded to not post from certain sites (and yet some still did it until recently) and to check with reliable sources such as the network itself or the reps of the stars or even ET or such sites.   Anyway I am waiting for NCIS: LA. My lazy side and get stuff done.   It is after 7 and the most I have done is watch TV and had several cups of decaf coffee. I made lunch and dinner.     Okay maybe I have done some laundry I need to if I am going to go out into the world. Yesterday’s entry is still in the ether world and probably won’t get to me again until Sunday or even Monday when I am back at work.. It continues to be a backed up week.   Work was basically fine.   Worked on the EOB searches and then refund letters and the mail.   There has been a fundraiser for a long time co-worker who just went on medical leave.   We are having a raffle of varied theme baskets.   I left in semi rush that I forgot my cell phone.   I might go back this afternoon to get it. I have two open entries that I haven’t finished.   I have been trying to get the house ready for the meeting this Friday.   Some things I have managed to get done like the garbage getting to the curb (I couldn’t do it last week because it was securely in the snowbank), managed to do some vacuuming,    There are other things I have put off until Thursday night. (It’s the bathroom-I figured if I do it then the cats are less likely to make a huge mess come Friday) .   I did manage to move the folded clothes upstairs but the rest of the stuff will shove into the one hiding place (yes the washing machine).   The cleaning stuff can go in the stairway to the cellar.   I did make sure I was doing crossword puzzles though. The Surprise party was a huge success (although she admitted as the hours passed she kind of knew something was being planned). Only a handful of people dressed up (mostly sibs, and kids, and of course my sister and Bil).   The party was to start at 2 but Sis thought it was at 1.   A fact I mentioned when I arrived at her house today.   There was plenty of food.   Appetizers included cheese and crackers, stuffed breads, veggie platter with dipping sauce, bruschetta, and pizza.   The buffet had everything as well, pasta, eggplant rollattini, chicken piccata, roasted potatoes, and steamed vegetables and salad and the bread.    I showed some restraint and didn’t have EVERYTHING and still it was good but I didn’t have dinner when I came home.   There was some dancing to the 80’s music as well.   I did get up there but grew tired and breathless, and sweaty in a very short time.   Evidently I need to still work on my energy level and ph...

We didn’t get the snow they were calling for last night.   Actually we had as few flurries and they came around 4 while I ran some errands.   Nothing else and this morning it’s chilly but sunny.   According to the weatherman no snow or rain for a while.   When I got home I didn’t do very much except watch the NCIS marathon and surf the net and do a lot of crossword puzzles.   I did get a message from Missy in California. We chatted for a bit.   That prompted me to at least work on the letter.   I have a lot to do but won’t be able to today.   I checked some of the pen pal groups and so I had a feeling I would be contacted.   I had a great dinner last night.   (Really you believe that?)I had the rest of the cracker sliced cheeses.   I really wasn’t hungry (sigh) from having the rest of the tortellini yesterday so I noshed on the cheese and coffee. It is only 9 am and I had all these plans to get things done by a fairly reasonable time.   I am not even half way done.   I hit the snooze bar a couple of times.   One on the phone and gently on the head of Sky. Whom sat dutifully over me until I got up from the bed. From the get go I fed the cats first and then headed to the sofa and laid on it for a little bit with the TV on.   I finally got up and got online and have been moving the laundry a little bit.   It is almost done.   I finished yesterday’s entry and made it today’s. Now I am going to watch the first hour of Gibbs March Madness in honor of the March Madness currently on.   It will be on until 11?   I will return to it later when I get back from shopping. Shopping.   I am planning on getting a couple of things at Macy’s to at least get somewhat in the festive for tomorrow.   If I don’t find anything I like I will resort to a top, and sweater and jeans.   I s...

Yesterday was St Patrick’s Day.   It was also my maternal grandmother’s 119 th Birthday. We had some great celebrations for Nanny (she didn’t like being called grandma) over the years.   Some at restaurants and later at family homes.    Her Siblings all died in their 90’s except for one that was Aunt Helen.   She died at 104.   My last memories of Nanny were she was in her house until was 90 we had a woman come and care for her when the children and grandchildren couldn’t.   Eventually she went into the nursing home when she deteriorated by dementia.   She was feisty almost to the end. A lot of people were dressed in green in the office.   I didn’t.   Not even the socks that Dr. T gave me last week.   I had a very good chat with EV regarding the support of Local 33 and I have to say I am understanding it little more.   Also the importance of being a united front on issues as well.   Now that some scanning is bei...

It feels weird starting at 10 in the morning rather than at my normal 8 am.  However, it also felt good that I didn’t have to rush to get showered or dressed and I could catch more of my morning programs on TV.  As I was leaving I put the ice melt on because there was so much ice on the sidewalks.   I think it was already starting to melt the minute I dropped it on it.  I had to chop some more ice off the car and that took some time too.  I was able to leave by 9:30.   Now the day will go by very fast. The roads were not bad at all until…I got to the city.  There were some icy patches here and there and I did slide a little but overall I didn’t have any troubles despite my inner fears.  I was in the office ten of and managed to get settled in.  Checking in with everyone.  I was quite surprised to see many come in who wouldn’t normally come in.
