  I was meeting my sister at the Nephrologist.  We got as far as the lobby and I was ahead of her and realized I needed to bring her closer to the elevator.  I turned and tripped over a threshold that was coming up off the floor (and not lifting my foot high enough) and did a complete faceplant on the floor.  Liz helped me up as much as she could.  I had bruises on my face, wrist and knees.  They gave me ice and after the appointment sent me to the ER. My sister took me over and dropped me off and waited for a bit (parking was limited) . She offered to come inside but she was sort of annoying me.  After about an hour I sent her home.  I finally got triaged about 5:30 and sent back to the main ER.  Where I was put in a hallway in a chair and then eventually on a gurney in the hallway by the nurses station. From time to time checking in with Liz and some of the girls from the meetup. I was able to get a dinner of cereal,milk, fruit, juice and a...

  It is Wednesday again.  That means it's Meetup Day.  I am going to be meeting the girls at a new place this week.  It's in Madison CT. MJ's Beach Grille .  Faith Recommended earlier this month.  Just in Case Hammonasset is closed to capacity or the diner is closed like last week.  We ended up at Eli’s on the Hill in Branford.  Appetizer and dessert night.  It was a lot of fun. In about two weeks we are going to Laura’s Neighborhood Beach Party in Old Saybrook.  Its beautiful.  We are probably going to have pizza and snacks.  It will be fun.  There will be music and dancing I am sure. The rest of the month right now for the group is just the regular Wednesday night stuff and the Saturday game days but I have to admit I don’t go to those.   The New Haven Collective has music Next Month on August 4.   I finally got the floors done this weekend.  Wasn't Really  happy when I discovered there was still dirt in them.  So I have been looking up different  methods.   I don't usually  rinse with clear water  afterwards  but going now. I had an invasion of flies This past week.  It was skeeving  me out and giving me anxieties.   They are gone from the living room and kitchen but not before I found one in the refrigerator.  Alive.  I ended up throwing stuff out.  So later on in the week I expect a large grocery shopping list. Around the complex, A few trees that were dangerously close to some roofs were removed as well as bushes, and the arborvitae were trimmed in the back.  New solar lights were now  put along the path to the Club house.  Courtesy of Don and Jim.  It looks nice and they are “cheap”.  THey also fixed the sidewalk because it had been dipping.   I have Nephritis .  Its stage 4..not the same as Cancer Stage 4.  It was confirmed after my recent Biopsy.  It went quickly.  ITs in both Kidneys.  I am on a whole bunch of new meds and new strengths of other meds.  Two Words: Horse Pills for a few of them.   I had to adapt to some of the meds (they made me sick a couple of weeks ago now).  EVery so often I take only milk or water and it  isn’t pretty..  However, I can say I haven’t had the issues I did when I started it.   My sister went with me to Dr. Sonia last week and we were both relieved (I believe) at the outcome and.can move forward.  Dr. Sonia reassured me that Dialysis and transplant are not in my future. I don’t have to change much of my diet.  THe sodium and salt basically I do have edema. Taking meds for that. Until the last few days had been doing my BP  that is until I was getting Discouraged.  I will take it tonight. Haven’t done...

Today starts the busy holiday travel.  I hope that if you do that, you are safe and enjoy.  Personally, I think many left earlier around here. So my questions are: Will you travel? Where do you go?  Camping? Friends houses’ resorts beaches?   Do you work on Friday?  I am .   Next year it lands on Friday  so I may take Thursday off
