I should be sleeping but the coffee i had earlier this evening has kicked in. My intention was to stay up as long as possible and get some things done. However, after writing up the thankful thursday and posting it to the blogs and to the journaling group on facebook. I ended getting addicted to the solitaire game on the phone most of the night (with the NCIS on in the background. I had to turn it off.
I went to the wake of my former coworker/friend’s husband tonight. I had to park all the way down the street in front of a realtors office. The parking lots were full the funeral home. She was pleased to see me and we were talking for a time and i met her sons and stepsons. We talked about work, her retirement and things like that. Eventually I saw JoelB and while she paid her respects I waited for her and walked her out.
I headed home. I was achy and tired. I never made it to the classes but I will point out that I did a lot of walking (and made my daily goals of steps). I did make a veggie dinner.
Mixed the frozen corn with frozen peas and ground oregano and garlic and a little butter then a couple of hours later I had brussel sprouts with taco seasoning on it. It was good but I think it made my face break out around the mouth. I also had some string cheese. I am thinking not the best choices but I couldn’t have the rotisserie because it was now three days old...oh and fresh raw peppers.
The kitties were waiting for me when i got home this evening and for the second time this week Sky tried to get out the door. I swatted at him (gust of air mostly) and scolded him. I am going to have to be mindful not to linger at the door (I worry that he will hit his head or get nailed with the door and never come back in.
Tiger was just anxious to eat the kibble and so I fed them and then later on fed myself. She spent some time down in the cellar with sky (I let them go down for a little while) and both of them came up when called.
At one point they were running around (I mean really running around ) crazily tonight too. Eventually Tiger slept beside me on the couch and Sky finally settle down here on the bed with me. Tiger just came up and is at my feet.
The moon tonight has been gorgeous. It was pretty awesome this morning too. It is also going to cause havoc with the tides I think. There are warnings for coastal flooding tonight. There are also gale warnings.
I nearly had a heart attack when i checked my calendar and saw that the appointment for the installation of new water meter readers was for this weekend and really its for November 16. I have to put PTO request as it gets closer to the date.
