AS the clock ticks down to 2:30 Saturday morning I can’t even begin to remember the last time I wrote in my daily blogs. I know that I wrote in my Lupus journal this week only because there was some pain in my arm and I wanted to keep track of the foods I had. I even posted once or twice in my NCIS world.
Things at home have been pretty good. Mom continues to prepare for the meet and greet that we will have here next week as well as continuing with her other boards and committees. She had lunch with her friends the Knitwits this week.
The weather for the last several days has been wild. There were strong wind gusts and lots of rain. The cause was tropical storm Nicole which passed through our state and is now gone. But it has caused much grief for the Eastern seaboard. There was a lot of flooding all of all sorts causing delays and evacuations of some areas. Unfortunately it also caused death to a family in North Carolina while they were driving.
Work has been crazy. It was month end and nothing seemed to go right this week. One of the couriers was late for an early run and I didn’t get the charts I had ordered until 10 one day. Medical records did something rather foolish I thought. As much as I like these people they didn’t have the charts available yet they sent the original request form and the list I had made back in the carrier case that the charts would normally be transported to and from the MR department. My objection to this is these two pieces of paper could have been sent in an interoffice envelope.
We were expecting some of major insurance carriers to send their EFT’s in time for the month end (payment EOB’s). We usually get them at least a few times a week. They were scarce and could have helped with our monthly goals.
The University wide oracle system we use for payroll was down for most of the week as well. We couldn’t update our time sheets and any other files that needed to be done until today. For months we have not been receiving hard copies of our direct deposits and we had to this week. I don’t know why that happened but I guess that’s for record keeping.
I went bowling with several members of the Milford Democratic Committee last night and we had a blast. I didn’t do that well but I had fun even though I was having a few aches and pains. We played until 10:30. I think we had sixteen players.
There is a lit drop activity later on this morning. I am going to help out after I get my haircut. What is a lit drop you ask? Well it is campaign literature for the politicians running for office that is dropped off to the voter’s door so they can learn more about the politician.
My plans for the rest of the day include getting a baby shower gift for Lisa my niece, a couple of birthday gifts, and getting the room in shape for guests for next week. Next week is the meet and greet.
Okay I am getting tired so I am going to say good night..

I was busy today
Well today has been very busy for me. I got up surfed the net for a bit and then got ready to go feed Junior and go to the bank. I got my hair done around 10:30 and it looks nice. I will get Mom to take a picture of me if you all like.
Then near lunch time I got a call from Keri Rowland. It was in regards to the bowl-a-thon and my new position of Secretary for the 4th District. The 4th District meetings will now be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. I am really excited.
I also went and did some practicing for the bowl-a-thon Mom was having doubts I would be able to do it. Which I thought was kind of rude. She had been at the office dropping some tickets for Tess off.
Before heading to the alley I stopped at Jennie’s to see if she wanted to come along. Unfortunately, she wasn’t home so I headed via route one to the alley. It was 1 pm when I got started and nearly 3:30 when I finished. I played four games and I think did pretty well. The scores were 160, 130, 129, and 140. Mom asked me if that was good. I thought so.
I got a call from Dave he will be back in town around 12 or 12:30 Depending on how long it takes him to get to Trumbull. He wants to pick up stuff from that mall for Patrick and his Dad.
I was just watching the news. People in the city are calling for voluntary curfews after several shootings took place in the last thirty six hours. Aldermen of the city are calling for it. The mayor and Police Union are not pleased with it but there are city forums going on tonight and tomorrow and on December 1st. They want to hear from kids 20 years and younger. I guess the curfew is from 10 pm to 6 a.m. unless they are with an adult or at a religious event.
What did Yahoo do to their TV page? I guess they are going beta and it just isn’t the same I don’t like it. You can’t really do any searches and it’s awkward. Sigh. Oh well guess I will have to use either Iwon.com or TV Guide.com
Jennie called a little while ago we are going to try and go to Mohegan next Wednesday. I told her I would check my schedule.
Well I am going to check more emails and forums and journals….I will see you tomorrow.
