Sleep

I couldn't sleep Monday into Tuesday.. For a lot of reasons.  Probably the coffee I had earlier in the day.  THe other reasons were thinking about work.  All the things I have to do before my vacation tomorrow night at 4.  I had to train Tania on the claim forms.  I think it was easy.  I may be wrong.  I trained Tania on the scanning denials. As for JT ,  I don’t know what else I can do.  We reviewed the notes she made and she decided that if she needs to ask Tania she will.  She is hoping to help me with the mail when I get back because she doesn’t have anything.  I suggested to her that she can continue with the batches. My Friend Elia lost her father over the weekend.  She had been expecting for the last couple of weeks.  So she has been on FMLA. So no meetings for now. I made sure things were done before I left.  I reminded people about my vacation so for email denials they have to send to Annette and Tania...

Quite a week

All week long I have been training JT to do my job while on vacation.  Unfortunately, JT is overwhelmed.  She has insecurities that are making it hard for her to do this.  At times I can’t help feeling that she is using it as an excuse.  It makes me feel I am not doing what I am supposed to. We had a surprise visit arranged by our finance dept lead, of Handsome Dan, The Yale Mascot. It was so sweet.  He loved the attention.  We didn’t get a picture. THere are some administration/management level changes going on for YM and I don’t think they adversely affect the lower staff yet.  IT will be interesting to see in the future. I start my vacation A week from today.  It's three weeks long (the longest I have taken excluding covid time).  My plans are to catch up on stuff at home, be available for LIz who is moving mid september, some doctor appointments and do day trips and visit with people who are free. Monday night I had an accident....

New England Chapter of the Linden Hall School Alumnae Association

This past year I was invited to become a member of the New ENgland Regional/chapter Alumni Association of Linden Hall School for Girls.  In the months followed we had zoom meetings (that I ended up having to miss because of scheduling conflicts. In early spring a few of the girls organized our first in person meeting lunch for June.  It was held at Michael’s Harborside Restaurant in Newburyport MA.  I drove up that morning while the others drove in from New Hampshire, Maine, Mass.  We spent the next couple of hours talking of our memories of our time at Linden Hall. Near the end we got to discuss our goals and plans for the future of the chapter as we are the pilot.   We will be helping the alumnae association promote the school. We were told there is no hared Mary Dixon  Chapel.    If that's not working let  me know.  Doing this on my er. HaptE ThThe virtual  tour was an hour and let by a Debbie and one other lovel...
