Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
Seventy-eight years ago one of the most incredible and historical moments in life occurred at Pearl Harbor when japan bombed the naval station there. More than 2000 people died, causing the US to declare war on Japan. Thus the US entered World War II. Flags are requested and probably required to be lowered every year. Early in the week there was a shooting at Pearl Harbor. A 22 year old Navy Sailor shot several people and himself was unhappy with his Commanding officers and according to the papers had been undergoing counseling. He had several administrative issues against him. I believe there is an ongoing investigation. ON Friday there was another shooting at Naval Base Pensacola. This time a Saudi Arabian student who was vetted did the shooting that also is currently an active investigation. This will not do well with relations with Saudi Arabia.
