I was so tired yesterday

I was so tired that I nearly fell asleep a few times at my desk.  I also said things that shouldn’t have been said (I actually hurt Guardian Angel/gargoyles feelings) and I had to apologize but I just need to “hold my counsel” as Mom would say over the years.

I have decided that I won’t be going to Aunt S’s funeral and wake which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.  When I looked for hotels there didn’t seem to be any but when I looked at an email after chatting with Liz about arrangements there are a number of them.  The reason basically is I would have to choose either the wake or the service and not include the burial which is close to an hour further away. Liz offered to share a room which she rarely does.  I also have a doctor’s appointment and the other scholarship presentation to make.

Jim is going to make it to the wake at least and all of us will split the cost on flowers.  He wasn’t sure about the funeral but he hasn’t mentioned about coming up here for the scholarship presentation.  I hope he doesn’t change his mind.  I just felt that I couldn’t not be at the presentation and Liz agreed.  She also felt that all that travel would be exhausting for me.

Last night was fairly quiet.  I did some laundry and watched TV and went to bed.  I was hoping to get some letter writing done but it didn’t happen.

Today was fairly quiet Peapod came around 1 pm.  I chatted with Neighbor Don to ask him about the hose (I didn’t see them downstairs) so I attached one to the spicket outside.  Lawn Guy Tim was supposed to come but called and said it couldn’t make it.  He should be here around 10:30 tomorrow.  I will go to Lowes tomorrow and get the new sprinkler then.

Liz did invite me for pork dinner but when she called I was making homemade Boboli pizza.  I decided to just sit here and watch the NCIS marathon, and PBS, and all the other regular shows.

The Weekend is Here

Well the weekend is here.  Friday went very well.  I was able to get almost everything off my desk.  I have  a small pile to do (so far) for MOnday.  I was able to get my office cleaned up before leaving.  We did say goodbye to our friends in the Collections department as they packed up and started moving to their new location in WH.

The WEather was absolutely beautiful it was in the high 70’s and the sun was shining.  It made the house itself very warm so the windows were opened.  It was especially warm in the bedroom.  The ceiling fan went on and cooled off the room.  It is overcast now as I write this but by the end of the weekend we are supposed to get some much needed rain.  Parts of the lawn really need it.

While I was busy with the scholarship presentations I discovered that one of our neighbors moved out.  It would seem the owner of the house has decided to move back from NY and gave them a month to move out.   We had no idea (actually I had no idea but neighbor K told me about it Wednesday).  I have mixed feelings about the newest development and the return of “M” because she was very difficult when she first moved in.  SHE eventually moved out to NY.   The young family that was here was very nice and somewhat private.  That’s not to say they didn’t have problems. My hope is they have better times ahead.

The house flippers are busy working this morning and have been on and off since Thursday.  I have noticed  they do most of the work from THursday to Sunday.   I can’t remember if they were here last monday or not.  In any case it is looking great.

This morning I am going to do some light laundry and straightening  until it's time for the Celebration of LIfe for my friend’s Mom.  I am not sure how long it will be but I will then go to my niece’s for the graduation party.  I should bring a change of clothing with me.  It will be a long afternoon.

Sunday I need to do some grocery shopping and hopefully get to see my BIL .  He came home yesterday afternoon.  I didn’t go over yesterday because it was his first day home and didn’t want to overwhelm.  THe weather is supposed to change by the afternoon.
I know  I have to work on my budget and bills. I can do that  late in the day.   As usual the parking bill hasn’t arrived yet.  I am going to have to check to see if they sent it via email (I haven’t noticed it yet) and others are due this week.

It looks like it's Jurassic Park weekend on AMC and the Harry Potter series on ABC Fam this weekend so I will catch them at some point tomorrow.  I may even catch a small NCIS marathon.  Right now is a Rick Steve’s European travel special.  I just realized I have seen this at the last fundraiser PBS had.

WEll I am going to take off and check the net.  Have a great one!

Dear Friends

August 2, 2013

Dear Friends!

Happy Friday and it was a beautiful Friday too.  The temperatures were in the low 70’s and moved into the 80’s.  I was indoors for most of it but I enjoyed it on the way home.

Work went well got a lot done and we had a birthday lunch for AC and EF  We had pizza  & cake.   I didn’t have any meetings to attend so all in all it was a good day.

Mom had hoped to go the services for Gayle’s Mom earlier in the day.  It was from 1-4 but she had been cleaning and doing stuff that she couldn’t go.  We may try again over the weekend.

She was exasperated with the ton of clothes I have to wash and the way I was caring for them.  It didn’t get explosive but we dealt with it.

I saw the guys this morning.  They were hard at work with the sewer construction pipes.  Do you know the only newspaper to report or even post the press release about yesterday’s water main break was this one?!  I didn’t see anything in the Register.  I may have to look harder but I saw nada.  Apparently it was on Channel 3 yesterday (that’s our local CBS affiliate) it wasn’t on channel 8 either (local ABC affiliate).

Mom was sleeping when I got home.  We are going to have steak sandwiches (from the steak we brought home from M&T’s last week-don’t panic its been in the freezer!) and corn for dinner.

I think i am going to take a nap before dinner so I will see you later...

Long Day today

After a restful sleep I woke up around 7. My intention (as usual) was to get up earlier but decided that I could do what ever it was I needed in the time I had.

I got ironing the clothes I was to wear for the day. I decided to wear dark clothes with the blue and black jacket. I would wear it for Bingo, the canvassing and of course the wake.

I had to send out some emails for the 4th District for today’s activities and to inform Phil that one of our members emails no longer works. I called that person a short time ago and found out it was because I sent an attachment. In the future can’t do that. I also told RLutz about Dave’s loss (they are related by marriage some how-his wife’s maiden name is Oliver).

I didn’t get to the nursing home until close to 9:30. I made my stop at DD for coffee and two orders of hash browns. They were freaking hot. I think I may have burned my esophagus. I chatted with the picket line and then went inside. The first 45 minutes I talked with Angela and Matt (the new young volunteer).

I started bingo just before 10:30. We were served communion by one of the Eucharistic Ministers from Christ the Redeemer Church. We played until 11:30. Luckily I had some volunteers helping clear the tables off so that allowed me to chat with the picket line members for a short time.

It started to rain while I was chatting with some of the picketers so I didn’t stay long. It was getting chillier as well. I decided to go to Democratic headquarters and see if I could do anything. I made some calls and ate some really” healthy food (rolls eyes). I would have been leaving at 1 pm but I couldn’t because I had a dead battery.

BryanA (a fellow DTC member) helped me out with that. He allowed me to use his AAA membership and I felt horrible but grateful at the same time. The people on the phone at the Roadside Service were very good and said they would have someone there by quarter of 2 the latest. It was way before that.

Once the guy got the car started I thanked both Bryan and the nice man and headed to the Funeral Home. There was barely any spaces. I parked across the street from the Funeral home.

A nice lady offered me her spot which I hungrily took. I saw people I recognized (Dave’s Uncle Steve), and friend of Carlene. I paid my respects to Dave’s Family and sat with his family. I was later joined by some friends Mary & Steve, Rose and of course JimK. I was there for about an hour. As I was leaving Mom had just arrived. I took the moment to re-introduce her to Mary and Steve. We chatted and then took off.

On my way home I called Ethel to see if hse needed me to come over to wait for the new “boarder”. She said no he hadn’t arrived so I didn’t have to come over.

When I arrived I had a little bit of time before Mom came home. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to see anymore woodchucks as October is the month they start their hibernation. Today would not be that day.

Since I have been home I did finally put away the summer clothes. At least I think I put them all away. This is one of those things I hate to do. I never know if I should put them away or not. I think there are many clothes that I can wear even during the winter. I have several white blouses that I plan on wearing during the fall and winter. I will just have jackets, sweaters etc over them. I also did find my fall and winter clothes but for now I have enough to wear during the week. Of course the old stand by are my jeans and tops (sweats shirts, sweaters, and blouses)

Mom and I are having beefaroni for dinner. Its quick and simple and one of my favorite meals. We usually have dinner by 6 and then start our decompression of the weekend.

I can’t believe how quickly the afternoon went by. The sun will be setting in an hour or so. We are supposed to have more rain during the night. I am glad I don’t have to go out tonight. I am hoping my friends who are traveling get home safely.

In about 45 minutes I will be turning on John Diliberto’s radio show Echoes. I have been listening to the show nearly 20 years (no it can’t be that long can it?) on the local Public Radio stations. When I do listen to other public radio stations he is on during the week. I am thinking when it is on the station I listen to it is a culmination of the weeklong shows. It is fun to listen to and it is nice to fall asleep too as well.

This week should be a really hectic week. I meet with Debra twice this week. Monday and Friday (last Friday I cancelled to take JanetN to lunch for her birthday). I have the club meeting Wednesday. I have to pick up the birthday gifts for J & A (Chris’s kids) for their combo birthday party next Sunday. Of course Sunday is also the Meet and greet.

I have told you I want to go on vacation? I might be..will tell you more next time…

Long Day

I don’t have much time to write today. In about an hour or so Mom and I will be leaving and driving up with Bob and Ethel to the funeral mass for my cousin Judy. I have already picked the outfit I am wearing and it’s lying on the bed to put on after my shower. After the funeral Mass we probably will be going to some restaurant.

I am struggling with some issues I brought on myself. I went to the wake last night and the lines were out the door. Mom who had been there earlier was walking out and suggested that I go in (aka cut in the line) and sit with he family. I did that. I also somehow managed to cut the ENTIRE line and I have a feeling (that I expressed several times to the family) that Robbie was a little annoyed with me. I also found myself complaining about things to my cousin Chuck (the oldest of the three “H” Boys). So I am going to make sure I don’t do that today. As for the “cutting in line” and “RAH” being annoyed everyone kept telling me to “not worry about it”. That’s easier said then done.

I stayed for a long time even after Mom, Bob & Ethel had left. Liz left before me (or so I thought) but as I was leaving the parking lot at Wal-Mart (the funeral home is right next to it) she was behind me and followed me for a distance. She went one direction and I had to stop and reset my GPS (see below).

Oh my GPS crapped out on me a few times last night. It would stop working and shut down. I am not sure why that is happening but I suspect it could be the battery inside is dying the cord to it is dying or countless other problems.

I got home probably by 6:30 quarter of 7. I had called Mom to let her know to go ahead with dinner and mine would be warming in the oven.. We talked about who else would be attending and the embarrassing moment I had.

The rest of the night I didn’t do much except watch TV. I went to bed at 10. Still bothered by the incidents at the funeral home that may be “No big deal” with the rest of the world but it will stick with me for a while.

I am meeting with Nancy this afternoon sometime. I am not sure what time she is actually coming but I hope it won’t be too late because tonight I am going to the Disney on Ice show in Bridgeport.

I got some bad news yesterday

I got some bad news yesterday

After I closed yesterday’s entry I had received some bad news. I had received word that my friend and pen pal Guru Ellen A had died recently (last Thursday). She had been in the hospital until Thursday when she died. The memorial was on Sunday. Telka received an email on Monday and she forwarded it to the board members who knew her. Ellen had been a member of the Woman’s Club up until three year or four years ago when some of the women broke away and tried to cause problems with us. We hadn’t remained in close touch but we heard from her now and then. At least I did. Her obit can be found at http://www.codywhitefuneralservice.com/obituaries/Ellen-R.-Aftamonow4691435347/ . She was an awesome Volunteer Librarian and was a great asset to the club.

When ever I had questions or needed a sounding board about pen pal writing she would be the one I would go to. She always took the time with the advice. If I ever go back to pen paling I will remember what she had told me. Anyway I mailed a card to her husband this afternoon on behalf of the club. They lived up the street from me. All of us are in shock.

My session with Debra went well. I told her how things went since we last met. She was pleased that I seemed happy. I told her of the conversations I had with Mom, Liz, and Dave.

The rest of last night was slightly agitating. The PC was a little slow but it eventually did okay. I watched NCIS for a bit and had dinner. Mom had her Annual Meeting for Bridges and she said it went well.

I sent out emails pertaining to the meeting this Thursday. Of course I put July instead of October. Mom pointed it out to me. I got a response from Jessica B and she joked around with me. I still have to do the minutes for last months meeting but I will do them tonight instead of watching Leroy Jethro Gibbs (my honey bunny).

Oh I discovered that our current State AG and future Senator Richard Blumenthal is currently following me on Twitter. That is awesome yet a tad overwhelming. I really have a lot of respect for this man because he has done a lot for the state. Anyway, I have to watch what I write on there. LOL.

I had a really hard time getting out of bed this morning. On top of that I had a wardrobe malfunction. The black pants I was planning on wearing formed a hole in the pants seam. So I had to put on a different pair. These pants are fairly old and they are like the blue ones I have. Even though I was afraid I would be late I still managed to get out on time.

Most of the day was busy despite the IDX system being upgraded. I generally don’t have to use it but many usually do and could do limited things. The scanners got to have the morning off. I will be able to scan shortly. I finished yesterdays and almost today’s work but left off so I could work on the Return mail (it’s started to get overwhelming for me).

Okay its time for me to get back to work…see ya later or tomorrow.

Slight Change of Plans

Our plans have slightly changed for Friday. When I came home from work tonight Mom tells me her Cousin Kevin passed away on Sunday. The funeral is on Friday. At that point she was going to go to the Wake only but by the time we ate it was decided both of us would go to the funeral.

Mom had called Jim and when he called back later he said we shouldn’t change our plans with Liz. When Liz called she encouraged us to go to the funeral. We would to the seal watching later on in the afternoon. I had sent a text message to Liz and she called me to clarify. When she didn’t get me she called the house phone.

Kevin is actually my second cousin and one of the younger cousins of Mom. His Mother was Sis Moriarity McCarthy who passed away I think maybe last year. I don’t remember him very well but I know his brother Ed more. Ed is very close to my brothers and sister because they are all the same age (or in that age bracket). Apparently Ed is taking his brother’s death very hard.

Work went well. I managed to get almost all of the mail done today. I still have to finish the return Mail tally and the lobby mail done and some readdress. I am hoping tomorrow’s volume is light. I have to pick it up as Jill is returning to work but I was asked to pick it up for a while.

I did some scanning for the first hour of OT and then helped pull EOB’s for refunds. I enjoyed doing it. You had to find them and the pull them and copy them and that sort of thing is like challenging your mind. A treasure hunt if you will.

We got an invitation for Lisa R’s baby shower. It is the same day as Mom’s Meet and Greet. It is going to be in North Haven at the Corinthian Lodge Hall. I haven’t heard of this place before but I am going to take a look at it.

I have laundry to check on so that’s what I am going to do…g’night.

I was shocked when I

Found out that Paul’s Hamburger Stand on Boston Post Road was permanently closed on Wednesday. The reason they are giving is they lost their lease but could it be more? It’s been in the same spot for 62 years. In the last 46 years (that I know of) I have only been there twice in my entire life. The people I mentioned this news to were shocked and dismayed. They would tell me stories as to how many times they have gone to that place over the years. I have cousins who worked there.

I made it to the funeral home and wake for Phil’s Dad with no problem. I stayed for quite some time after some others I knew from the DTC came and paid their respects. Phil’s family is nice. I got home by 6.

No mail except junk for the AARP insurance advertisements. I spent the night doing very little. Mostly on line stuff. I was checking emails.

Today work went well considering it was my first week back after the two week vacation. The charts came and went without any problems. I even got to visit with Mike from Gofor services. He looked great.

The Patient Services staff had a luncheon to welcome Lisa Davis to the staff. Sue Carrozza extended the invitation to me as well and I accepted. It was pretty good. I had chicken wings, rice and beans, and pasta salad and éclairs, and cookies and of course soda.

It was just before 4:30 when I got home and Mom was ironing and hanging the curtains. She didn’t want to have dinner until she got the curtains up so I watched TV and helped out a little. It was nothing big moved a ladder here or there. I decided to take a bath and then start some laundry.

I also took an opportunity close out a pen pal file after receiving a letter I had sent out last week back with insufficient address. I really wish people who do that would check before sending stuff out. I moved the info sheet of this person to my journal file.

We had dinner around quarter of 7. It was spaghetti and sauce and as usual delicious. We were also trying to understand the discussions about the current financial crisis that is hitting this country.

Some of the stuff I was tossing out was from November 2005. Actually it was mostly political stuff and I made the notations in that file. I also had some medical reports from when I was diagnosed with the lupus. I am putting it with some files Mom has been holding for me.

There was a holiday card and newsletter from my friend Marie Pooley from London. I first met her many years ago on the yahoo groups and message boards that focus on Kevin Sorbo. Ever since then she sends me these great letters.

In the December 2005 folder I had letters I had sent to Debra, my appointment book for that year, Holiday cards, the Program from the Benefit Concert for Beth El Shelter.

Now I am working on the basket... There was a letter I had written to Debra in June of 2007. I told her about some activities or incidents having to do with pen paling. One of them was how I was almost scammed. This woman who wanted to be “pals” who was in some sort of “prison camp in South Africa had written me and then started with the “can you hold money for me” I told her not to contact me after this.

I also tossed copies of some letters I had written to various friends within the Kevin Sorbo Fandom.

I told mom I would try and get rid of papers for the next two hours and do even pen pal stuff later but I came across letters that I needed to answer.

I can at least write them up and print them later.

I am so confused

I don’t know about you but I am so confused about all this financial stuff that is going in the world. If you read this blog you have read that I am not so savvy about my own finances and that I have been to a financial advisor and you know that I have a TIAA Cref account and a Dreyfus mutual funds and I don’t know if this stuff with Lehman’s or Fannie Mac and the other one will affect me in the future. Every time I hear reports I try to understand what they are explaining that is going on and it makes my head spin. Mom asked me last night to see my info. I told her the next time I get the prospectus reports or what ever I would give them to her. She usually says for me to through them out but I also told her we could probably see them on line. Now that my own personal finances (the credit cards and stuff are getting straightened out) I am afraid other things won’t be when it comes time to have them.

Well yesterday was a pretty long and good day. I got a lot done but still have more to do. I think now I have three bins to finish and the daily stuff. I make sure things that have to be redirected or sent to people are down right away. I did get online even though I made a promise I wouldn’t let it monopolize my time. That is something I need to keep vigilant about it. I still need to get the mail from the lobby. I will have to do that first thing tomorrow. We found out today that my co worker LaVon lost her grandmother over the weekend. There is a collection going on for her. There is also one for Carmela Dandio who retired two years ago. I need to get both of those taken care of later.

I noticed I got a couple of emails from Michele Potter this week. She worked in the training and software department and is now with Best Practice Committee. She is a lovely lady and I miss her much.

When I left the office it was nearly 4:15 and was chilly and cloudy. I headed to Milford for the wake. The ride didn’t seem very bad but apparently I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going. I went to the wrong wake! I don’t even know who it was for but I drove to Cody White first and walked through the line and didn’t see anyone I recognized. I went up and gave a prayer and looked around and realized I didn’t see anyone I recognized and just walked away. As I walked to the door I realized where I was supposed to go (down the street). I wanted to run out of there quickly except some idiot woman was in front of me. I made it to the car and drove to the Smith Funeral Home. I went in (and told a few people what happened) and signed in and then paid my respects and hugged Lee T and Rich Smith. Then I sat with some other friends and told them what happened. It was some time after 5 when I went to watch the video the funeral home put together for Lee’s husband. It was lovely. I said goodbye one more time and then headed home.

Before going home I called Liz and Nelson to see if I could stop by but she was sleeping and had to go out a little bit later so I just went home. It was quarter of 6 when I got home. Mom wasn’t home so I got my dinner and watched the end of charmed.

Mom came home some time later and got settled in for the night. She was making calls, collecting more bulk trash for tomorrow and made her dinner. Then she watched TV for the rest of the night.

I spent the night trying to update some pen pal files and ended up deleting the Kansas pen pals file form the address book. You see I had a letter returned to me that went to Summer Vaclav and I was trying to update her file and was finally successful. After deciding to walk away from and watch TV for a bit. I will mail it out tomorrow.

I heard from Aunt Betty in Texas. They are fine. They are with out power but overall they are okay. Lisa and Michael are staying with them.

I also did more of my own bulk trash collecting for tomorrow. All the video tapes I have made in the last 15 years except for the ones that professionally done (the 5 movies) are going. The five movies are going to the library. My old bowling trophies are being thrown out too.

Well I am going to get ready for work. I want to get to work early. Haven a wonderful Day.

Going to Work Early today

Good Morning! Last night I spent a couple of hours going through old papers. I came across a birthday party invitation for Bryan M’s 14th birthday party from last year. I always enjoyed Cheryl’s parties. The thank you note for Mike’s Graduation party was also tossed.

I even tossed some journal entries from 2005 to 2007 that I was going to send to Debra but never did. I also tossed Liz’s Valentine card to me. The journal inserts from February 2006. One of Liz’s cute Valentines Card with Tweedy Bird, a thank you note from Natalie for coming to the Nursing home during the blizzard that Month. I also had a ticket for the bus ride to Foxwoods I took with JG and her boyfriend that month.

My letters to Debra from those months were weekly or daily updates of the activities that were going at the time. The latest aggravation or some challenge I had over come or anxious moments I had to deal with.

In one of the envelopes from January 2006 I found some photos of the Holiday party YMG had. There were pictures of me with Jean Tamborini, Hyacinth Jones, and Barbara Moseley. I am going to put those in the photo albums. There was a thank you note from Claudia for the Barnes and Noble gift card I had given her that previous Christmas. There was also a note from Jill Scognamillo just a thank you for all my help with work

In another envelope from December 2006 I had holiday cards from friends, relatives, pen pals, and cards I had sent but returned to me for bad addresses. There was also a program from the annual Holiday show sponsored by CPAC. I can guarantee we are not going to this years show!. There was a program from the opera we saw at the met that year.

In another envelope there were things from September 2005. I found a certified receipt and the letter I wrote to the woman Marilyn who sent me the religious stuff under the pretense of pen paling. That was also the year that Aunt Helen died and I had kept the program from the service.

I am trying to remember why I had town information about the town of Norfolk CT. Oh I remember it was snowing early that year. I believe they had gotten an early snow fall that year. It was on TV.

Today I am going to work early to get a jump start on the mail and see how much I can get cleared out and get rid of. I told Mom about it last night. I even told her that Gayle said it would be alright. She didn’t even catch on that I said Gayle and not Patti. You see I haven’t said anything about changing Supervisors.

I have the wake this afternoon for my friend Lee’s husband. There is going to be a prayer service at 7 and the burial (Interment) will be private. Mom has a couple of meetings to go to today and I am not sure if she will be going to it.

When I come home then I will do more of the paper tossing. Right now though I need to get ready for work.

February 7, 2008

Well it is after 7 and I am just getting dressed. I had a good sleep but I stayed in bed until 6:30. I have already put the rest of the recycle stuff. I just have to take the regular garbage out.

Yesterday was a productive day. I manage to get the mail opened and rejections and some of the individual mail done. I was able to get a lot done before the day ended.

It was also the first day of the Lenten season that starts off with the Ash Wednesday. The YNNH had an Ecumenical service at their chapel. It was very crowded.

After work I went home and Mom and I had dinner then afterwards we went to the wake for Stella C’s son. He died on Saturday from the brain tumor. Mom reminded me that funeral Masses can not be held (at least in the Catholic Church) on Ash Wednesday. So it had to be delayed a day.

We were back home by 7 and I spent the rest of the night either watching TV or trying to write a letter to my pen pal Linda B. I am almost finished and will have it mailed when I get home.

Today I have to call American Red Cross to get our name on sponsorship for a blood drive. I want to get it done before the meeting next week.

Tonight I have to write all the journals and have them mailed out tomorrow.

It is after 10:30 and I am just finishing up opening the mail before the next round (through campus) comes along. That should be in the next 20 or 25 minutes or so. The volume of both the lockbox and regular mail has been light. That allowed me to work on some of the readdress mail that I put aside. I still have to go and get the mail from downstairs.

I talked with my sister this morning she was just enjoying her morning and was going out for lunch with a friend in town. We talked about the American Experience program that was on PBS the other night. It was about Grand Central Station. She tells me there were more “fun” retrospect’s about GCS.

I told her about the Valentines cards I got her grandkids. I also told her my siblings are getting cards (at least e-cards) for Valentines too. I have to mail those out in the next two days.

I mailed Jamie’s card this morning. Actually it went out with the mail courier this morning. I hope it gets there by Saturday.

Some girl on Liz C’s pen pal list really lit into Liz about her job situation and the fact that Liz doesn’t take responsibility for anything that goes wrogn. She was obnoxious about it and I think being a bully.

Well I have been home an hour now and have started to loads of laundry. I left the office around 10 after 4 because I was waiting on the Gofor Courier to come and pick up the charts that were supposed to be picked up by 2:30. I called the Boss twice and the second time he told me that Steve would be coming around 4.

I couldn’t believe when Susan R told me that Candidate Mitt Romney dropped out of Presidential race for the Republican Party. I had asked her if she had any trouble casting her vote with the new opti scan voting machine and she told me that she was registered as an Independent.

It is after 10 and I finally finished a letter to a pen pal and read some of the emails from the list earlier today.

I was watching the end of ABC news when I saw that John McWethy former ABC reporter died in Colorado in a skiing accident. All the shows from ABC (news department) had a memoriam to him. It is very sad.

Oh and if you really want to have a good laugh you can go to YouTube - Jim Amann announces for governor and see who is near the beginning.

Well it is getting late. I am going to try and write some more letters

Last Day of Vacation

Considering that today is my last day of vacation.   I am going to make sure things that were not done (housework mostly) are done...
