It is 79 degrees in the city and back home.   It is supposed to go into the 90’s by this afternoon.   Then drop to the 80’s overnight.   We are supposed to get a break in the heat with thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon or evening. I am that point where I hope it cools down things (something tells me it won’t). Well I guess I should tell you I had a hard time sleeping last night.   That late afternoon/evening coffee would be the culprit as well as the tooth again.   I spent a lot of time on Words with Friends I & II.   I don’t think I fell asleep until maybe 2.   I woke up with a headache.   I didn’t take all of the early morning water that I am supposed to.   I was afraid that the oral gel I applied would be wash away.   I did take my meds including some Tylenol, so I should feel better soon. Good news checked the informed delivery and it looks like I am getting the new CC today.   What a relief.   Too bad the two amazon deliveries (the wipes and TP) are nowhere to be seen.   I have placed two refund requests.   I had to contact the seller for the wipes because amazon isn’t going to refund it.   The TP refund will be honored.    I plan on writing to the corporate headquarters and recommend they reevaluate their third party venders.   I went to AT&T store today and the guy was absolutely useless.   He said basically that I should ignore it because AT&T would have called or something.     I will try again because I don’t like the answer.   I went to Walmart and returned the Fitbit and it will be a few days before it posts back into my account.   When I got back to the car I downloaded one pedometer and I didn’t like the way it was tracking my steps and shared the story with Alex when I saw him fo...

As you may remember I ended up not going to the meetup last night and stayed home from everything.  I did routine stuff that I usually do when I come home from the meetup just a few hours early. I made it a point to speak to next door about the garage.  He asked a few questions like why? When and I tried to give the best answers I could without sounding like a willful child.  I have to check with LB for the deadline for nextdoor to empty out.  I kept getting the feeling the relationships are going to change and make me feel I should go and get a condo.  I don’t like that feeling. I had a really weird experience last night and I think it may be tied in with my visit to the cemetery the night before.   I was going to be early for the ladies guild meeting (or late) and I decided to stop by and see my folks.  I didn’t spend too much time there but I just needed to see them.  Well when I got home there were three rabbits in the back yard!  ...

Aw man I am so looking forward to the dentist next week.  Wait! Wha?  Yeah I ordered steak and vegetables for dinner last night and my mouth was hurting especially where that tooth is.  I have been putting off calling the doctor because I knew I would be going soon.  It doesn’t hurt every day only when certain foods irritate it.  I believe the tooth is cracked but it doesn’t get any looser.  I swished with warm water and salt but didn’t do anything except maybe cause my hand swell. I did put some orajel on and it took time for the pain to go away.. So i have been home since 4:30.  Shortly after I got home a woman from an environmental group was looking for people to write letters to politicians on behalf of Citizens for environment.  I also gave them some money...i have information that its legitimate. Spent the rest of the night either watching NCIS:LA marathon, and updating some files and took a walk.  It wasn’t long walk but it help...

I worked until 5 or 5:30 and did the scanning.  I had eaten a bunch of cookies before going to the Coffee meetup.  I had no trouble getting there.  I had phoned in my dinner order picked it up and started meeting a couple of newcomers to the group.  Gil was a little late but that was fine.  A few of the regulars were there and overall we had a great crowd and talked until about 8:30.  By then I had coffee too. I took the wrong turn going home so I ended up on Quinnipiac Avenue and Foxon Blvd.  I realized that’s probably how Gillion gets to and from Panera every wednesday.  It just got me home later than I wanted.  LUckily traffic really wasn’t bad. I thought today would be one of those days where I am late for everything.  Sleeping, work, appointments everything. I made sure I got to the dentist on time considering they had an opening earlier than 7 tonight.  I spent the morning finishing up yesterday’s mail and worked on preparing the insurance refunds for mailing.  Today’s mail arrived early in the afternoon and was light it took me about an hour to do it.  I went back to the refunds shortly after that. Throughout the day I had been checking social media and message boards for updates on my friends and family in the path of this hurricane. After work I headed home before going to the dentist.  I left the house about quarter of and had no problem getting there.  Getting home was a different story.  I was waiting for traffic to move and a lady from the next town over slammed into the back of me.  The back of my car is dented and slightly skewed.  I yelled a little and then we...

November 8, 2013 Dear Friends: It is nearly 1:30 in the morning.  I was so exhausted last night that I was in bed by 8.  Before going I paid some bills and answered the weekly questions for the livingwells2 list. The Dentist appointment was as I expected good.  He had the three fillings done by 6:30.  I was early for the appointment so they took me in early.  My mouth was numb until  a little while ago.  I had a hard time easting my dinner because I kept chewing my lower lip.  When I got home Mom started cooking the lamb chops and the rest of the food and a short time later we ate.  It was delicious but I couldn’t finish the second one.  I probably will have that for dinner tomorrow.         September 28, 2013 Dear Friends: Good Saturday Morning to you!  It is a beautiful morning.  I was up early to move along the laundry I left in the machines.  I  ended up going to sleep right after I posted yesterday’s entry. I have been to the dentist appointment already and haven’t done all that much.  Just folded clothes and tried with little success clearing out the dryer vent.  Other than that I am up here while Mom is cooking.  I have told her if she wants me to do anything to call me. My Nephew Rich came over and fixed the kitchen windows that have been giving us trouble.  It turns out that he forgot to take off certain things that protect it during transportation and his brother thought they had to be there.  Anyway it was great to see him. I talked with Debbie to confirm I was coming.  She was saying that the city just finished paving her street as well.  I still have to get her a birthd...

September 5, 2013 Dear Friends Happy Thursday!   It was a beautiful day.  I was busy all day until I left for my dentist appointment.  Unfortunately I had more mail than I anticipated and still haven’t finished todays.  I have to admit I was a little anxious about getting it done.  I believe by the time I start my weekend I will have it back on track.  Have I mentioned I don’t always like holiday weeks? It was a beautiful day for a walk and that’s what I did at lunch time with Denise.  We walked over to Atticus Bookstore next to the British Art Gallery and bought a couple of sandwiches (one that I Knew I would be sorry for )for our lunch.  We chatted about stuff. August 1, 2013 Dear Friends, Happy Thursday!  I hope you all had a pleasant one.  The weather was overcast and rainy in the late day.  It wasn’t too bad as I headed to the dentist for the implant installation. I want to wish everyone who is celebrating a birthday to a great one.  May you have many incredible memories.  That should cover all the birthdays I know I will be missing today and this week.  We are having pizza on Friday for two people on the team.. Despite being a little stiff this morning (not sure why as I have been taking my meds regularly).  The morning seemed to pass quickly.  I finished yesterday’s mail when today’s came early and light.That enabled me to work on the stuff I couldn’t get to yesterday. The implant installation didn’t go as planned.  They were not fitting the way he wanted them so he is sending them back and molding them together.  This will take two weeks.  I had warned Mom before I left th...

I got to the Dentist about 1:30.  The sign on it said lunch until 2.  I was concerned because they had called me and asked to come earlier than originally scheduled.  So I sat in my car for 10 more minutes and then went in and the door was opened.  I went in and they took me quickly.  Well I had to make a pit stop then I went into the room they wanted me to be in. The Dentist started setting things up taking out the screws and working on it.  He even took x-rays and making molds of my mouth.  It took nearly an hour or so.  I was out of there by 3.  I forgot that this was to be the next step in the process and it wouldn’t be the implant insertion.  That won’t be for another three weeks.  If I am not mistaken its the same day as SM’s retirement party.   I was sort of home a short time later.  I was about a block from the house when I realized it was still blocked so I had to all the way around into West H...

It seems I have a middle ear infection.   The nice MD (who apparently doesn’t age) prescribed antibiotics and ear drops.   There was some confusion on one and the other isn’t available or isn’t being paid for by the insurance company.   I managed to access the patient portal for the Internal Medicine and left messages.   I am just waiting to hear from them.   I will pick up the Azithromycin tomorrow either before or after the oral surgery.   It was nearly lunch time when I got back to the office.   The mail was waiting for me and I got to it.   I spent the afternoon working on it and now have only a small handful left that I will add to the mail from tomorrow.   I had a scallop roll/sandwich from Szabo’s and it was delicious.   There were fries with it and a soda all for $9.   It was quite good.   After lunch I continued to work on the mail until it was time to go home. Today didn’t go as planned.   I got up early and hung around for a bit thinking I would go at 10 to get the INR done.   Mom suggested I get it earlier so I left here around 9:30 after calling the doctor’s office to see how long the wait would be.   Their voice mail message was “they were closed due to weather”.   I figured they left it that way from the storm.   They didn’t.   I got there after 9:30 and found they were not opened at all so I had to come all the way home made some calls to the Oral Surgeon and Liz. The first call was semi good.   I explained the situation and they suggested I go to the Milford Lab next to Quest Diagnostics.   I called Liz and explained the situation.   I got to the Lab by 10:15 and registered and then had to wait.   I finally got my blood test.   It was not just the finger prick like usual.   By then I think my BP was up to million. Liz called me this afternoon just before 4 to announce that baby boy Santore came into this world. JSantore had to have it by c-Section. According to Jessica’s post on Facebook: “Proud to welcome our new baby boy Luca John Santore, born 10/18/12 @2:36 p.m. Weighing in at 7lbs-7oz and 22.6 inches. We are totally in love!!” The picture is absolutely beautiful. Liz will be also sending pictures and stats at a later date. I had called them at lunch time and couldn’t really hear Nelson. We both acted like nothing was wrong. I called back when I got back to the office. AS of then they were still waiting. I also told him about the Milford Patch. Work was long and busy. I got to the office by 7. I gave JanetN her coffee and shortly afterwards started on my stuff. I did the readdress mail labels until LEE came with the lockbox. Then I went back to it afterwards. We had a fire drill (at least I am thinking it was) around 10. Happily the weather was nice so we all got a few minutes...
