I was just thinking I have the last two days’ worth of entries to finish writing and post   I wrote a couple early to prepare but I put it off because I was at work and didn’t want to when I got home last night.   It will be like that for this entry I am sure.   I have some letters to write both in my pen pal world and family.   It’s been a while since heard from nephew James and I haven’t said much to his sister Emily about the move.   One moment I have a hard time figuring out what to say.   When I realized I could cut and paste what I wrote to her brothers it came pretty quickly.   Its done. I still haven’t been doing any decluttering at night but now that I have part of Friday off I will.   I am hoping to get some done during the weekend in between the activities.   I can’t give into the fatigue from the exercising and early mornings. So many things going on this week.   Nationally, Regionally, Locally, Politically, Globally, and personally. Yesterday was national walkout day.   Students from across the country all walked out of their classrooms to make the world know that they want those in charge to find ways to make them safe and better gun control etc.   In many places both in cyber and real world people criticized the students for doing this and others punished them for doing it.   IF they don’t do it who will? The Toys R Us Company announced they will be closing all of their stores.   That includes Babies R us as well.   I have been to both stores over the years.   I won’t say frequently but enough not just as customer but when our club was doing the baby contest there.   They are about 2 miles from me. A week ago Tonight State Senator Gayle Slossberg announced she would not be seeking another term representing Milford, Orange, and part of West Haven.   ...

I got up early and did our normal routine.  Took my time getting ready for work but managed to leave earlier than normal but still ran into traffic.  Took the side roads and eventually made my way by the hospital in New Haven. I was waiting at  the worst intersection mind you some numbskull walks against the light.  I had to slam on the breaks.  He knew I was yelling at him and he was kind enough to flip the bird at me.  He was still walking in the same direction I was driving and I was yelling “I hope you die”.  He didn’t see me but he really scared the heck out of me. Work was okay.  It was supposed to be scanning day but as usual finished the mail from yesterday and worked on refunds (preparing to mail them).  ARound 10:30 I headed over to the scanning and spent the next several hours over there.  Managed to get about 35 batches scanned.  We have a small amount of “Older stuff” to do and then we will start working on newer st...

For some reason i feel like I am way behind in my journaling.  I still haven’t finished Wednesday’s midweek reflection nor have I done my Thankful Thursday posts.  Unfortunately by the time I have gotten home this week I am heading to bed early because I have had a fairly long week (or so it would seem).  I had a couple of meetings this week (all last night).   Of course something happened this week that disappointed me immensely.  Tuesday afternoon after a few text messages my brother was abrupt and asked us not to include him in personal conversations.  This was my way of keeping my two siblings in touch if they were not doing it themselves.  It had some modicum of success until my brother opened his stupid mouth. I am a bit behind in my pen pal writing but I usually leave that for weekends or vacations.  Even that may be stretching because Saturday I have my hair appointment and later on I am meeting up with my club to do an environmenta...

I am thankful for my family warts and all. I am thankful for the medical profession who strived to help me on the road to recovery.  I continue to get stronger and better every day. I am thankful for my job and coworkers for their support and love. (yes I said love too) they are my extended family. I am thankful for the home I have. I am thankful for the friends who are in my life. I am thankful for the two kitties that have brought so much to my life. I am thankful my bil continues to recover and get better from his fall early this month.. I am thankful the weather is changing for the better. I am thankful for the organizations I am involved with as it keeps me busy. I am thankful for the three day weekend coming up.  I Have no plans for sure. November 17, 2013 Dear Friends: I hope you have had a great Sunday afternoon.  Mine has been lovely.  After I closed out the last entry I managed to take my time about leaving the house.   I had some coffee and waited for Mom to get up.  Normally Mom is up by 7 most Sunday’s and most time I am up before her but this was a little unusual.  I could tell she wasn’t feeling well as she hasn’t slept well in two days.  She says that for two nights she has had some really bad cramps.  I don’t know if they were like the ones I had as a child but I bet they hurt like hell.  I do get cramps now and then and it feels like someone is twisting my muscles into a mean knot. September 20, 2013 Dear Friends     It is Friday night and its quiet time.  The pups are on their assigned pillows/chairs in the bedroom.  I have been updating my Google Documents Ledger and surfing the net.  I have been here since 5.  I spent a short time with Grandma and Papa.  The pups came to me and of course preston sat on my lap and began to lick my face.  AFter the visit I came up here and settled in. AFter a while I fed them a treat and their dinner and then I walked them.  I took a look around and noticed a few things.  The two mice who had been upstairs are now in the computer room/office.  Its much easier than going up the stairs all the time.  I think it would be much easier to watch TV in the bedroom as I am not sure if the Preston is allowed on the sofa in the living room..  It would seem Nancy has been training him to sleep on the pillow on a chair in the bedroom instead of on their bed. July 21, 2013 Dear Friends< Good evening!  I hope your Sunday night is going well!  Mine is for the most part quiet.  It is absolutely a beautiful evening and its just after 7:30.  IT is about 78 degrees here in Milford with just a light breeze. My nephew Rich came over to drop off the chairs and table they borrowed for the reunion yesterday.  He wouldn’t let lift or do anything (the guy is so sweet) and we talked about  how much fun we had and just what they were doing today.  It prompted me to send the email when  we were done chatting. When Mom came home things were infinitely better.  I told her that Rich came by and dropped of the tables and chairs and that our Friend TM called to see if it would be a good time to get together for the M&G prep meeting. July 18, 2013 Dear Friends, I just got home about thirty minutes ago from the convention.  It was a good one as good as it could be.  There was a mention of Bobcats in a couple of speeches.  I had no idea what they were talking about....until I came home and read this .  Apparently there was a sighting of one in the northern part of the town  (I have yet to read it but OMG!).  I have heard of Bobcats being up north in the Litchfield County but never here. It is still pretty hot and sticky.  It is 86 degrees right now.  Mom is downstairs getting things ready for the lunchtime meeting tomorrow.  She is planning on having salad.  I am not sure what else but that’s it for now.  If she needs me to do something I hope she asks.  In the meantime I am going to get ready for bed. July 18, 2013 Dear Friends Happy Thursday to you!  Work was busy for me and I was panicking just a little thinking I wouldn’t get everything I needed done.  Luckily I was wrong.  I am just hoping the mail volume tomorrow will be very light.  I can only do so much.  I had the idea that there wouldn’t be a lot of scanning to do for OT so I decided to go home my regular 4 pm.  I told Mom it was because of the convention tonight. I was under the impression that the convention starts at 6:30 but Mom tells me that it actually starts at 7.  Well that doesn’t leave a lot of time for dinner and I don’t feel like eating dinner later or after that.  We both agreed that we didn’t want to go to the restaurant afterwards. Mom had a late afternoon meeting in Middletown and got back about 10 minutes after I arrived.  She is getting somewhat anxious about the things she needs to do to prepare for Jim and the kids arrival tomorrow.  She already has...

I got to the Dentist about 1:30.  The sign on it said lunch until 2.  I was concerned because they had called me and asked to come earlier than originally scheduled.  So I sat in my car for 10 more minutes and then went in and the door was opened.  I went in and they took me quickly.  Well I had to make a pit stop then I went into the room they wanted me to be in. The Dentist started setting things up taking out the screws and working on it.  He even took x-rays and making molds of my mouth.  It took nearly an hour or so.  I was out of there by 3.  I forgot that this was to be the next step in the process and it wouldn’t be the implant insertion.  That won’t be for another three weeks.  If I am not mistaken its the same day as SM’s retirement party.   I was sort of home a short time later.  I was about a block from the house when I realized it was still blocked so I had to all the way around into West H...
