Last Day of Winter

Today is the last day of winter and it couldn’t come fast enough for me.   Winter was colder and snowier than usual.    I tried to look through my blogs and see how many times I acknowledged this day in the past and I think I mentioned it two times over the years.   I also   tried to see if other bloggers also mentioned it and I found few.   I know that when ever spring starts tomorrow it seems we expect a quick turnaround.   Unfortunately, it was cloudy all day and very cold. Early this morning, I felt unwell and experienced vomiting and diarrhea.     I messed up the bathroom and cleaned it.    I took some showers.   This continues well into the period after waking.   I went back to bed for a while then I had to get up and   I made it to work with no problems. I felt better by 9:30. The day was about catch up.   I completed the denials provided by Patty from the previous day, as well as all assigned d...

It really is fall

It was really chilly (50’s) this morning that I had to put on a coat.  It was my combo leather/sweater jacket that really isn’t the type to keep you warm.  I don’t want to get those out yet but I am sure it will be time soon. I also don’t want to turn on the heat either.   It was great cuddling with the kitties last night.  Tiger was the first to go up with me and around 1 Sky nudged into his spot until maybe 4 this morning.  They were running around crazy a few times last night before then. I wasn’t sure if they had gotten into the chocolate chips that had dropped on the floor. I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed being at bingo yesterday and how much I missed being there!  Even after all my bitching the last few weeks about not being told the schedule had been changed for Grandparents day.  WE had 17 residents playing this week. That’s the most in a long while. So despite all my blathering I don’t think I will be stopping volunteering for...

I have been noticing

Image
I have been noticing the days are getting longer lately the first time was last week after a rainy day.   The sun was still in the sky and it was five o’clock.   I noticed it again this afternoon.   Of course that means the mornings start in darkness and the sun is blindingly bright in the east.   I like that because the lights don’t have to always be on when I get home.   I was so tired yesterday when I got home from the day that I really didn’t do any journaling.   That doesn’t mean I wasn’t on the computer.   I did crossword puzzles and surfing the net but that’s it. Work was fine.   Busy but fine.   Did some scanning and the mail.   A couple fo people came back from med leave and personal leave.   We have another collection for anther co-worker who had surgery. Supervisor B sent out an email with the performance review that we have to fill out by next Monday.   I can’t believe it is time to do that again. ...
