  We had a storm during the night that caused major damage in some neighborhoods and we had no power from 6:20 to maybe 8 am.  Some of the business on Route 1 seemed to be powered.  So I got my coffee there at Cumberland Farms.  I spoke to one woman who was without power since 1 am this morning. UI sent out service emails updating how long it was going to take.  They had it resolved by 10. I think Optimum was another story. By 1:30 it was taken care of.  So it will be fine tonight. I may rent the Rug Doctor and work on it tomorrow.  I can get it at Lowes but I am not sure what the traffic is going to be like when I head home because of the storm.  I am hoping it won’t take me a long time to get it.  I see that it costs like $21 for the detergent for the Rug Doctor.  You notice no one ever mentions that along with the rental fee?  Oh, it's 48-49 for two days.   Good morning and Happy Easter to all who celebrate!   It's cloudy now, with rain expected later. I'm feeling lazy right now.   I did make sure to send e-cards to Jim and Janis and to Liz’s I stayed in last night because I was lazy.      I relaxed on the couch and cooked dinner.   I will probably wear the green dress I wore at Faith and Jerry’s Wedding’s hope no one notices the hole.   There is another dress I can wear that is a little more spring like. Clouds are forming, and rain is expected at 1 am.   It appears that the weather will be warm but accompanied by rain throughout the day. Jim sent me a text message saying he dreamed about me.    He couldn't recall what it was about but said he'd try to remember.    This should be fun. ldr I started getting ready around 11 this morning.   Today is the last day of winter and it couldn’t come fast enough for me.   Winter was colder and snowier than usual.    I tried to look through my blogs and see how many times I acknowledged this day in the past and I think I mentioned it two times over the years.   I also   tried to see if other bloggers also mentioned it and I found few.   I know that when ever spring starts tomorrow it seems we expect a quick turnaround.   Unfortunately, it was cloudy all day and very cold. Early this morning, I felt unwell and experienced vomiting and diarrhea.     I messed up the bathroom and cleaned it.    I took some showers.   This continues well into the period after waking.   I went back to bed for a while then I had to get up and   I made it to work with no problems.   Today, after discussing Laura's planned contributions for Saturday's brunch, I contacted both Shoprite and Big Y to inquire about the availability of shamrock muffins. While neither store offers shamrock muffins, Big Y does provide pistachio muffins. Accordingly, I have placed an order for pistachio muffins for the event.    When I checked with Laura about a dozen, she pointed out there would be other food. I saw in my email that I need to renew my library card within the next month.    I will do that next week.   I haven’t been to the library in months and that’s usually to print something.   Maybe it is a kick in the pants to make changes. I need to clean out my email box.   Put them in particular folders on the hard drive.   I will probably do it before I go to sleep.  Well Residents Near or in Moodus Connecticut the eastern part of the state had not one but two earthquakes this morning.  A friend who lives in West Haven said she didn’t feel it.  No, it's an hour and a half away.   Only a major seismic event will affect everyone.  I asked Laura today if she could feel it she said no.  She told me that it was up on route 9 and Middletown.  Many of my colleagues and some doctors live in that area.    There was also one in Westchester last week.   Fairfield County residents noticed it, but New Haven did not.   They said five days ago which brings it to Thursday.  I also have friends and family in that area.   Everyone in the area has family or friends nearby.   It's been another hectic week.    We were advised to remain at home on Tuesday due to Storm HERNandez. I am unsure why Connecticut has assigned it an additional name.    The Solidarity Summit for Tuesday was cancelled and we got an email yesterday announcing it will be next Thursday via Zoom.   I am not sure I am attending because I should be getting home from infusion. Thursday and Friday were short days, and although I caught up, it didn't last through Friday.     That is the day I opened the hospital bin that come and someone didn’t finish from the week before   I open the previous stuff and most if not all was shredded.   I still had to do Fridays and even I couldn’t finish. The reason I had short days Thursday and Friday were for appointments.   On Thursday I had a dental filling, and on Friday I took Sky for a wellness check-up. He is fine, but some of his teeth need attention.    It will cost about $1...

  It's been one week.    The last time I was going to write it was my Aunt Rosalie’s Death anniversary.   It was also Tigers Anniversary of crossing the rainbow bridge.   I regret not calling or writing to Rosalie more often. My neighbor Rosalie died earlier this month, and her funeral was scheduled the same weekend as my brunch.      It felt a bit awkward initially, but I believe I managed it effectively.    The daughter requested the clubhouse for the post-funeral gathering that day.    President Frank called and asked if I could move or cancel it for that day and I couldn’t or wouldn’t.   He was understanding.   Their reception was at Stone Bridge Restaurant. The brunch was great.   I was nervous but Laura had my back.   I went to the store for ground coffee and half and half for brunch and home.    Laura arrived, and together we went to Big Y to buy sandwiches, a birthday cake, and some sna...

  It's been several days since I last wrote.    After the storm passed, both the state and its residents continue to recover from its effects.    Earlier in the week, snow was forecast for our area; however, the prediction changed and we are no longer expected to receive any. The eastern part of the state, meanwhile, is still projected to be significantly impacted by a snowstorm.    I am glad because I would rather be working.   I need a tarp for the car since I left a large load on the roof, which is illegal.   Luckily VT helped me clean it off Tuesday afternoon, Late the afternoon it got cloudy and we had a dusting well into the night.   The Temperatures have been single digits all week.   Initially, temperatures were low early in the morning; as the days progressed, they reached double digits but remained quite cold overall.   The calm before the storm is now, according to my weather app it is 7 degrees out at this moment.   I'm glad I'm not leaving for Guilford until 11.   I can do a few things before then.   The storm is expected to begin around 8 a.m. tomorrow and continue through Monday night.    The weather reports are all over the place.   Snow ranges from 2 inches to nearly 2 feet.    I honestly doubt we'll get more than a foot of snow here, if we get any at all.   If Monday's weather is bad, I'll stay home, but I'll decide in the morning. Last night I went to the store again and now I wish I remembered everything when I went to Aldis the night before.   I could have just gone to Aldi's since it was next door.    I was going to get onions and Potatoes but realized I don’t need them this weekend.  Good morning, I'm feeling better.  I'm still considering finances, but I need to stop. We got snow overnight and we are supposed to get some more later today but its not much.  It will be washed away by the rain.  Well I was sort of right.  It started snowing again around 1 pm.  The flakes were big.  I kept thinking back to a report that big flakes meant it wouldn’t stick. In any case, this will conclude by 3 o'clock.   It's expected to snow all day tomorrow starting at 7 am. I decided to stay in my pajamas for the day.  I will get the cleaning done though.  Just the bathroom and bedroom.  I am probably going to vacuum the office again.  Once those two tasks are finished, the shower still needs to be taken care of. I got an email from the gas company saying my payment was late (yesterday) I had paid it already. This made my stomach drop.  I checked and it went out on the 13th.  It usually takes a couple of days....

  I Just remembered that my friend and foster cousin Gregs Birthday was yesterday.   My aunt Bernie and uncle Don became his foster parents when he was very young.    He became friends with Brother Bobs family and on some level My sister’s family.   To be honest I don’t see him in person but follow him on social media.    He is a local singer. My hope is to get work done today. You’re familiar with the pile of papers in my office.    If the day continues to be dreary, I can do it.      It's sunny.    I've cleared my desk and am now working on the files. It's late afternoon, and I've paused my cleaning.                    It started after midnight.   I can't recall when I looked outside, but I assume it began after midnight.   The snow has been falling all morning, but it's expected to stop soon.    I was entertaining the thought of cancelling bingo at Liz.s suggesting, The landscapers have been digging us out for the last hour.   It's still snowing; I shared a photo of the view with Jim and Janis. I just finished laundry; it's in the dryer now.    I sent it through again I will be folding clothes in a bit. Although 2.14 to 3 inches of snow have accumulated, I still won't be going to bingo. It stopped snowing earlier than expected around here so I moved the car back to my spot.   I'm spending the afternoon on chores.     Our plans for yesterday afternoon changed by lunchtime.  Janis came home from WW at that point and we decided to have a snack (unhealthy lunch LOL) and decided to go to the Allentown Art Museum ,  Where there were two exhibitions of interest The Art for Church and Home that included a tiffany window that had a small light show .  There was a quilt exhibition that we never made it to.  Both Jim and my energy level were waning.  We decided to come home.  Neither of us went to the gym or washed the car yet.    We stopped to get iced coffee and then returned home to have a mid-afternoon snack.   We made plans for dinner.  Left over lasagna and salad.  Janis and I made plans to go to Aldi to get salad fixing after we had some quiet time.  It was also just about then the so called “storm” was starting.  It was a light rain but no Thunder or lightening.   Good morning, I hope you are enjoying this first day of fall.   It’s 62 out and its sunny.   The sky is spotted with clouds.   They are beautiful.   It’s supposed to get into the 70’s for the day and then down to the 60’s overnight.   There is a coastal flood alert/warning for today.   Good morning! It’s almost ten and it’s 77 degrees and cloudy.   We are supposed to get rain later this afternoon.   I hope its after I get home from Lunch and grocery shopping. As the title of this essay (sue me) indicates, the first week of my two-week vacation is done.   I still have one more and I am looking forward to it.   A part of me got stuff done and as I sit here, I think could I have done more?   Probably, but I keep procrastinating. Tomorrow, I am helping with ticket sales for the Ladies Guild Dinner on Tuesday. There was supposed to be the Milford Walk Challenge, but I didn’t sign up for that.   Besides I haven’t been walking regularly to be in shape.   Monday, nothing planned.   A couple of doctor appointments, lab work, meetup, and a picnic next week.  Well Labor Day 2022 is over and I am still on vacation.  Friday was a quiet day for doing some cleaning around the house.  My tooth was starting to bother me that day too.   Saturday was beautiful and I did walk with Mike Smith the candidate for representative of the 119.  We met at the headquarters and its a small headquarters and I will be surprise if many people could fit in that at once.  Anyway we waited for a few more people and and then Mike and I headed out to the Gulf Pond area of the city.  Beautiful homes and many pets.  We did this until 12 and then headed back to headquarters and then I went home.   Saturday afternoon was relaxing and did some more cleaning and then went grocery shopping that night.  Still trying to get healthy foods.  I went to Aldi's but couldn't get a few things.  I would later on in the weekend get them or at least few of them. This is what i woke up to this morning.  Going to last until 4 so i have heard...  I think this storm was given two different Names in New England.  One I heard was Bobby and then I read it was Kenan.  Either is cool.  It came sometime after 8 on Friday.  I had been home a couple of hours from my sister’s house.  I kept looking out the doors and windows to see if it had started and how heavy it was.  As others have mention it was a light snow and continued all day Saturday until 4.  It was about then the wind started picking up. The plow crew came through at least 4 times the entire day.   They must have started sometime before 8 Saturday morning but the snow was still coming down and in no time covered up again.  When I checked around 6 it looked as though they did a better job but more needs to be done.  I am watching for when President Frank and others move their cars back to the regular places.   I was checking the weather page today and it looks like we are in for some snow showers over the next three days.   They are not supposed to start until later tonight and then again in morning tomorrow and Tuesday. During recent committee meetings it was announced that our union President would be stepping down from this office to take on a job with the International Union. I don’t have time to scan it to my computer while at work.   I took picture of it with the camera.   I will put it in the folder on the computer.   All the other documents I have to either look through or scan can be done another time.   I have to go to bingo now….

  Last night while I was in bed I had a dizzy spell.   Actually I had two while in bed.   I was lying there and the room was spinning.   It passed so I thought and I decided to get up slowly as recommended in article from Mayo Clinic and went to the bathroom and while I was sitting on the throne it happened again.   That one passed and so I decided to go lie down in the Livingroom.   I got up to check the door and wham.   It happened again.   So I could tell I was about to vomit so I headed to the bathroom and did just that.   This all happened sometime after midnight.   I think I fell asleep a short time later. The snow came around 9 and lasted until about 10:30.   It was basically a coating and was washed away by the rain that followed.   I could hear the wind coming through though.   It had been raining most of the morning but the sun came out.   It did take me awhile to get to sleep last night.   I tossed and turned a little and then went out to the living room and tried to sleep on the sofa while watching the NCIS marathon.   I couldn’t do that so I came back.   It must have been around midnight when I finally fell asleep.   The various music programs going. WE have been up and did our normal routine already.   The alarm bell for my meds has gone off at 6 but I took them later when I had my breakfast.   The cats and I went back to bed until the sun rose.   It is 5 degrees out.   It might get to 18 degrees out.   Man, I don’t want to have to go out there for anything but I will have to empty the garbage again.   The sun was out by 7.   I heard from the girls and they have busy days.   Gil and her husband are going to a Jeep Meetup ride.   Steph is going to work, and Laurie was at an early morning service.   Not sure what anyone is doing yet.
