Today was a beautiful day, it was sunny and 66 degrees and
eventually into the 70s. The weather is
going to change tomorrow. Rain in the
morning.
I didn’t do very much this morning. I didn’t go to church like I should have,
didn’t check with President Martha about the ticket selling gig. I watched TV and slept a little more.
I left for Laura’s just after 12 and got to her house a
little after 1. The traffic wasn’t that
bad. Downtown Old Saybrook had a couple
of festivals going on, that’s when the traffic got a little heavy. Waze had directed me to take the route by
Saybrook Point resort and it was much closer to than I thought.
When I arrived Laura and her Parents were watching the Patriots
and Dolphins game. After a while her
mother went for a walk, and we continued to watch. Then Laura and I went for a drive to DD and
then to the Saybrook Point resort and chatted until it was time for Laura to go
to Wallingford for a few hours.
I left Laura’s house around 3:15 and managed to miss
the highway entrance for home. It wasn’t
long but once I was on the highway I hit traffic all the way home-well until maybe
orange.
I was tired when I got home. Luckily, I was able to relax before Sky woke
up from his nap. He was fed.
Next-Door came over with leftovers. He told me about his hike in Cheshire. It was strenuous. He ended up falling and getting a few
scrapes.
I had some leftovers and started writing this entry.
My Friend Joni is in the state. After I spoke to her via IM. I learned the restaurant we are going to is
closed. I made reservations at Prime 16
which is down the street from there or close by.
Right now, though the episodes of NCIS where Abby
leaves are on. I wanted to cheer it on.
