The temperatures were in the
60’s when I left the house this morning and by the time I got to the office it
was in the 70’s. More evidence that
summer is almost over. I held the belief
I didn’t mind the seasons changing but what kid likes to come in from playing
when it gets dark? I wonder if parents
back in the day did these kinds of things? Truthfully I am sure we did stuff. As I get older I don’t always like how cold
it gets. I also don’t like the
oppressive heat either.
I am looking forward to the
Oyster Fest in Milford in a couple of weeks.
It's fun, lots of food, and people watching. I don’t buy anything (other than the food if
at all) because I either don’t need, want, or can afford it.
I haven’t been to too many
activities in town though for the reasons listed below.
It would be great if I got
back into walking and hiking again but it doesn’t seem to be the case. My walks have been infrequent to say the
least. I feel I have other things to
do. When I get home at night I want to
relax and enjoy myself. The weekends
are focusing on the house and even then they get dragged out or I get lazy.
The hiking group I belong to
alway have their hikes in the North eastern part of the state. Depending on when they have anything on the
weekends I would have to leave early to get there.
Oh Meetup.com updated their
site. Navigationally it's different and it will take time for me to get used
to. I have to wonder what the others
think of it. Of course I probably could
have left it the way it was on mine.
Work was a bit slow. I didn’t do any daily scanning until mid
morning. It was about that time that I
got 2 CDs to upload. One will be going
to the film library. The rest of the
time I did the refund backlog.
I can’t help worrying that
the flow of work is going to dry up. AC
says she has enough to do. We split the
daily scanning between us and sometimes the CD’s don’t come regularly. Right now we both work on the refund
backlog as well as anyone else is. I
suppose there is plenty of that. I
shouldn’t worry as it will pick up again soon.
