I managed to get up a little after 5 and do a few things before feeding the team.   I was surprised I was in such good spirits considering I went to bed fairly late.   I put the coffee on as I was getting ready for the day, took my daily meds.   The normal start   to the day in our house. I was able to leave a little after 7 and made it to the gas station like I should have yesterday but luckily it was okay.   I got to the office by 7:30 and chatted with SR.   I found out some stuff “is coming down the pike as for as additional tasks.   I also admitted my regret about not working more.    She admitted it was her first day back to the office too.   I set up for the day and chatted with some more of my coworkers who came in for the first time.   I found out MC’s mom has been quite ill.     I hope she will be okay, but unfortunately it will be a long road.   I made phone calls to IT and as of now they are workin...

It is the first day of my spring vacation and I nearly flooded the kitchen, bathroom and cellar.   I have been up since 5:30 but been awake since 4:30.   I was soaking some clothes and forgot to turn the faucet off and while I was showering it flooded the bathroom, kitchen and there is a huge (not a deep) puddle in the basement.   I borrowed some extension cords from a neighbor and have the dehumidifier going.   I opened the windows to see if that would help but closed them after an hour.   The cellar floor is almost dry but still needs to more time.   The kitchen floor is all dry in obvious places.   The bathroom is dry too that I can see.   It clumped the litter that was tossed on to the floor by the fur babes.   I will have to clear out under the sink as well.   I have done some laundry including all the towels I used to soak up the water.   I have more to do and will do it as the rest of the afternoon passes. It is after 8 and I am tired. I went to bingo and had a small group today. Jillian came in today. We did pretty well. The residents that usually go to church split this time. One didn’t and the other did. After bingo I went to church. I ran into some old friends from the club and they are doing well. I was home after 12:30. I couldn’t find my cell for a bit. When I did I had a number of missed calls. The only thing is I looked in my car already but didn’t find it. The Woman’s Club Board meeting was cancelled because of the weather. So I decided to get ready for Dave’s party. That too had been cancelled a second time and if I had taken the time to listen to the entire message I would have known that. Dave and I talked and we decided to get together anyway. It was nearly two by then. Once I got there we talked about the “curse of his parties”. Things have been hectic.   I helped EH with the signature and lit drop Tuesday in the pouring rain.  I had to leave by 7:30.  I still had to see Mom before meeting M&T. I got to Gaylord by 8.  Mom was watching NCIS and was relieved to see me.  We spent about half an hour. Never did get to meet with M&T.  We both had things to do. I was home by 9:30, exhausted and not so hungry.  I didn’t do much except watch TV and then go to bed. Wednesday work was hectic.  We had a party for EH.  After work I was so tired I went home.  I found BC working on the roof.  Short time his son came and did the lawn.  HE had some questions about the door so we called Brother #2 and worked out what the results would be.  Later on he made a request that the final payment for the “project” be paid Sis stopped by after having a dodgy phone conversation with her.  Partially I was having the conversation with BC and the other is...

Well as of late last night the computer was behaving. I have no idea why but I was relieved. I hope it continues that way when I get home this afternoon or evening. By the time I leave here it will be evening. I finally have been using the new aspects of the Kronos Payroll system that I have mentioned previously. It really is not that bad to use. This I say without even getting officially trained either. I have been updating my group calendar while I am working. I can’t believe I let it go so long. The rest of the day went by pretty well. I got everything done by 4. I did try and get the mail but it hadn’t arrived by the time I started OT so I will have to get it Monday morning. Tonight will be laundry, bill paying, and sleep. I have to get up early enough to get ready for PITS at Hopkins. I will be there for 2 hours and then from there work. Mom got lovely post card from Diane. Well the second week of 2009 started out pretty well. I put the rest of the garbage out and had a chat with Kim across the street about seeing the film Marley and Me. They liked it and cried. Kim had read the book before. She was saying that the people behind her in the theater must have just gone through similar situations because they were inconsolable. I even got a visit from Finnegan. After our visit I left for work. I got to work on time and got into my day. The charts came after 8 and it took me an hour or so. I was talking about the Patrick Swayze interview. Everything was done by 2 again. At lunch time I got the blood tests taken and that took longer than I planed but I still got everything done on time. I took Dolette home from work and one of the discussions came up with male pen pals. I don’t remember the reason for it but when I got home I found a letter from a guy. Mom wasn’t happy. I wasn't sure I should write this entry but I am going to because its my blog and I can! If any of you have been reading the paper this past week then you know that a certain incident that occoured at Stonebridge Restaurant ended in the result of the mayor asking for the resignation of one commissioner. That's the way it should have been. This commissioner has obviously some serious issues that need dealing with and he was in a position to guide and help run the police department, a children's home, and has ties to a church. What ever his reasons are he needs help and needs to not bring all of the attention on to all these areas. What I am trying to say is everything he has touched is now tainted and will be brought in to question. The really sad part is Mom is a friend of this person and I do feel bad for him but he needs to take care of business. I do wish him the best.

It is after 1 am and I still awake. I have been watching TV and taking short naps before I leave to pick up Mom. She didn’t call me like she said she would. She probably didn’t have time. OH Goddamn it. Mom just called and she hasn’t left the airport. She is still waiting for the fucking limo and he told her he would be back in ten minutes and that was half an hour ago. She is upset and her luggage is not with her. I swear Jet Blue is bullshit and so is Connecticut Limo. She suggested I go to bed. There is no fucking way I am going to bed now. My god she is an 80 year old woman. How could he lie like that? It is now after 3 am and Mom is home. She had to take a cab and it cost her $250. She also said Jet Blue didn’t finish sending the rest of the luggage out and I swear we will sue. I should have expected better. I will never use Jet Blue. Well several hours have passed now and we managed to get some sleep. However I didn’t fall asleep until after 4 and woke up before shortly before 9....
