Mexican Train Game

I had a great time last night. Roberta and Mike picked me up after 5 and we headed to Carol and Gary’s house. We were the last to arrive. It was quite unusual to be the last ones instead of the first. I first met all of the attendees’ years ago at Roberta and Mike’s Daughters showers. They all knew each other attending the same Synagogue. They became good friends over the years and they get together a couple of times a month and play the Mexican Train Game . What is the Mexican Train Game you ask? Well Wikipedia best explains it. Mexican Train Game is a dominos game. You can have up to six or seven players I think and there are thirteen rounds. The Wikipedia article best explains the different aspects. There have been times where we have played until 1 in the morning. We usually have dinner either at a restaurant or order in. Good News!

I got email alert this afternoon that my passport has been processed and will be sent via USPS and should arrive Wednesday sometime. I am really excited. When I got home I told Mom about it. She said okay. Mom apparently injured herself while giving herself a pedicure last night. She somehow sprained her thumb and now it’s all swollen. She is finding it awkward to hold things and to use it. She let me get some things for her but that won’t be for long. I can’t help but think she is pissed at me for something; well I should probably leave her alone for a while. We are supposed to get some bad weather tonight. The Northwest part of the state where Mardi and her family live have flood watches and warning for there as well as the Northeast part of the state. I was certain we weren’t getting anything but I am wrong the clouds have already changed and it is already 7:20. I have NCIS on in the other room as background.
