This weekend was awesome! Saturday I spent two and half hours at the gym. I had two classes from 8-10. The first one was just a regular one with Alex and the second was Challenge class. The trainers and instructors also had to take pictures. I tried really hard to keep up and I think I did okay. At the time I didn’t think so but I seem to be feeling it this morning. At 12:30 I had my session with Alex. We did some review of the week and did some rope stuff and then well that’s starting to get fuzzy. Let’s just say I was really tired. I had weighed in earlier that morning and I am up to 218. Gained one pound but he wasn’t worried he can see I am trying. I have signed up for two classes this week.
In between my trips to the gym I managed to get to the vet, ANimal shelter, and the bank all before 12. Of course I had to go home and pick up the fecal sample for the vet and the three bags of kibble that needed to go to the animal shelter.
The fecal test cost $48. It must have been puppy dog day because there were at least 5 or 6 puppies of different sizes, shapes and cuteness. Tugged at my heart a little then I remembered I have enough at home.
After that I went to the Animal Shelter and for some reason Google sent me via Boston Post Road to 95 and get off at Saw Mill Road. I drove past the street and had to do a complete turn around and when I saw the street and found it. It is literally around the corner from the Public works department. I went in to the building with one bag and someone came and helped me with the other two. I was able to get to see some cute kittens and I met Sally who was a real talker.
Later on in the afternoon I got ready for my ride up to Hartford. The ride was much like my trip last month but because the weather was nicer I could see more than I did that night. I was early and I parked in a lot by the Russian Lady and the service entry of xL center. I had gotten texts from Antoinette who by then had said she was at the restaurant with ehr sons. I walked to the restaurant the long way *read* got a little lost. But found it and waited for her a couple of her friends and Marisol who really got lost.
After eating some really great food and having great talks we walked to Antoinette's car and dropped stuff there and then headed to the XL Center. We got our tickets. I was in a different section then Antoinette, Mari, and Nina (who joined us there). I was originally supposed to be closer to the ice but I thought I was still sitting in different seats. Graciously with others who were nice to talk to and patient with my questions.
The game was okay. Wolfpack suck at the game. There were a few questionable activities that I didn’t particularly care for especially with the volume of kids there. At one point a woman *not sure who she was* was sitting on the Zamboni and showed off her chest. HELLO???? Then of course in the the teams fighting each other near the end. To be clear about the woman thing I wasn’t the only who questioned it. When the game ended we walked to our cars and said goodbye to each other (I drove Mari and Nina to Mari’s car for safety) and headed home.
I was home by 10:30. In bed a short time later. Exhausted.
Sunday I was able to sleep in a little. The early morning Milford Challenge walk was moved to 11 and so I managed to get more sleep and then dash to the other side of town. I was the first to arrive and found a Green Heron on the fence in the marsh. I managed to take a picture of it and my cousin tells me its a Green Heron. When JS arrived she brought Dash and Buddy with us and we had a great time. We walked 1.7 miles. My walking app to work so JS sent me a copy of hers.
The rest of the day I did the laundry that I left the day before. I watched everything but what was going to be on (the Super bowl). I went to bed sometime around 8. I was so tired and the dinner I had didn’t help. (Wings and ribs from Adams).
Over all the weekend was pretty cool. Hope to have more like that and I believe I will be very soon.
