Mom
and I left here just around 10 and headed over to LIz’s. Even though
we took different routes we arrived at the same time. However, the baby
of the hour hadn’t arrived yet and wouldn’t for another hour and half.
So Mom went back home to do some shopping and cooking and I stayed and
kept Liz Company for a couple of hours. We chatted and she cleaned and I
helped with chores.
While
I was there Nelson had called from Norwalk and said there was traffic
delay and they were moving slowly. It would be another hour and half
before getting home. So I went and got my glasses adjusted at Costco.
While I was there I ran into some friends of mine I knew in different
worlds. After a while I left and noticed I had gotten calls from Liz.
They
had arrived and were at the house. This had to be about one. WHen I
arrived Adam was in the kitchen, Olga else where Poppie cleaning the
house and Grandma holding this absolutely beautiful baby boy. I watched
Liz feed him and talk with him for a short time and then she had me sit
in a comfortable chair and then I fed him some more. She took a
couple of pictures and when she either posts them or sends them to me I
will post them. I think I got to hold him a good long time and he was
so cunning. Soon more came including Rich my nephew and Mom. THey both
held him a great long time. It was funny he was being passed around
like a football. :) Actually Sweet Baby James fell asleep in Mom’s arms
and then they handed him to Rich and he slept longer while Rich watched
the latest soccer match on TV. Mom left a few minutes later and I left
around 3.
They
were all going over to CHeryl’s house for “cousins get together” this
afternoon and needed to relax and or get ready for it. Both Adam and
Olga looked great. Olga was saying how tired she was.
When
I left it was the rain was starting up again. I was home a short time
later and found Mom doing some cooking. In order for her to get ready
for church I helped with the vegetable part of our dinner. She was
going to cook a daisy ham and vegetables. While she was gone I had to
keep an eye on the daisy ham. It took a rather long time to boil and
when I had to turn it down I turned it way down.
I
spent the time channel surfing and web surfing. When Mom came home she
baked an apple dessert and I set the table and relaxed until it was
time to eat.
While
I was waiting for dinner I was sitting in the TV room and suddenly I
got dizzy. I think it was the second time this week. I laid back on
the bed until it passed. It was weird and a bit disconcerting. I
haven’t had any repeat performances from it. I think I may have to call
the MD about it.
After
dinner I dropped the margarita mix off at Chairman Phil’s house to add
to the Auction for Awards banquet on the 7th. I hope he got it. They
were not home when I dropped it off but I called and left a message just
the same. I can expect a message tomorrow or see him at the parade
tomorrow.
Oh
yeah I am going to the Parade tomorrow afternoon. Liz is going to the
theater and won’t be going to the parade this year and Nel will be
marching with the Knights in the rain. There are other Memorial Day
activities in the morning but I won’t be able to go because I am going
to be at bingo.
Well its getting late now and I want to get to bed. Have a great night and be safe...
