Frustrating Start to the day

I overslept this morning and had to rush around to get ready. but I still made time to watch TV.  When it was time for me to leave I couldn’t find my ID badge because it has almost everything in it..  I looked all over but couldn't find it.  I tried a second time when I got home earlier this evening and I found it in my pants pocket.  I t was in the washing machine.  I was relieved but at the same time knew it had to be here somewhere..  It was just a pain in the rear to keep asking people to borrow theirs. Work was hectic as usual for Monday.  I spent most of the morning working on the re-address mail and the rest of the time on the daily stuff.  I also finished up Friday’s stuff as well.  Sadily we learned that Diane C lost her mother unexpectedly over the weekend.  There was a collection going around and I did put some money in. After work I had my appointment with the Hemotologist.  He says my anemia is fine.  He di...

Long Day today

After a restful sleep I woke up around 7. My intention (as usual) was to get up earlier but decided that I could do what ever it was I needed in the time I had. I got ironing the clothes I was to wear for the day. I decided to wear dark clothes with the blue and black jacket. I would wear it for Bingo, the canvassing and of course the wake. I had to send out some emails for the 4th District for today’s activities and to inform Phil that one of our members emails no longer works. I called that person a short time ago and found out it was because I sent an attachment. In the future can’t do that. I also told RLutz about Dave’s loss (they are related by marriage some how-his wife’s maiden name is Oliver). I didn’t get to the nursing home until close to 9:30. I made my stop at DD for coffee and two orders of hash browns. They were freaking hot. I think I may have burned my esophagus. I chatted with the picket line and then went inside. The first 45 minutes I talked with Angela...

Dear Debra

Please Remember

As you are preparing to go to bed please remember in your thoughts and prayers nine people who were killed today in Manchester Connecticut . As you may know a man who was being dismissed on disciplinary matters shot and killed 8 others and turned the gun on himself. According to the New Haven Register he had been caught on video stealing beer and was given the option of resigning or being fired. It was a horrible ordeal and apparently made national news. I don’t feel anger I feel sadness because there were so many different stories coming out of this nightmare. Was he being racially harassed? Was he mentally ill (probably) and didn’t or couldn’t get the help he needed? People also need to feel safe in their work place and I hope this will be taken care of. My work place is safe for now. We just barely made our goal for the month in Accounts Receivable. We worked hard at it too. Gayle is very pleased but is showing signs (at least to me) of being tired. Susan has been very quiet in the ...

Election 2007-Milford

Well the polls closed at 8 pm. Kerry didn’t win but she was class act as she spoke at Headquarters tonight. Now Richetelli will have to deal with a democratic majority on the aldermanic board. The Democratic Party won all the boards. Connecticut Bob had a great report and of course you can check out Vote 2007 Connecticut Election Returns also one Milford voter was 109 years old and that was so cool. Mom won her position as Constable with the second highest amount of votes. She was highly surprised and I was just plain proud. I might call Jim and Liz and Bob tomorrow. The day started for me at 5:45 am. I got up showered, had breakfast of yogurt, made my lunch and watched a little bit of Angel I was dressed and ready to go to the polls by 7. It was raining as expected. A short time later I arrived to the polling place at Foran High. Kerri and her son were just leaving to stand at other polls through out the day. Kerri’s Mom, husband Brian and daughter Emily, and father st...
