Well Good Morning and Happy Halloween! I am sitting here with my kitty ears, kitty collar, and kitty tail, and a white pair of gloves. Many of my co-workers have dressed up today. Some came as a bag lady, angel, witches, Maniacal killer, Elvis, pirate, and Lee Ann Rimes, and of course a devil, a Yankee’s Fan.
Well now it is after 1 and I am working on the requisition list for tomorrow. I took off my costume (the removable parts) they were getting a little much for me. The tail I kept sitting on and it was beginning to hurt my real tail. You see many years ago when I was in the young teenage years (or before it) I would slide down the stairs and do it repeatedly I ended up hurting my tailbone.
Wow everyone has had some type of goodies through out the floor. Chips and dips in one area along with sugar infested foods. I made my tour and now I just want to stay right here.
I just talked with Mom and she said that we are going to the headquarters tonight. She was talking to Tessa and they will have a literature drop on Saturday. Shortly afterwards I received a call from Mike. I told him I would be there.
I am tired again. I don’t know how long this is going to last….
Well it’s almost time for me to leave. I have cleaned up for the day. I still have some more mail to readdress and to sort. I can do that tomorrow.
Well it is almost quarter of 11 and I was just getting ready for bed. I had a very productive evening. When I left the office today I noticed a helicopter hovering over the city of New Haven. My first thought was the highway must be backed up. When I got to the highways there were no back ups. I managed to get to the house by 4:30.
I checked my mail and it was junk basically car insurance application and credit card applications. I just shredded them. After that I called Liz to see if I could help her with her computer. She couldn’t remember how to make folders or organize them. I was not successful so we decided that I would come over Friday night.
Mom called me for dinner. We had stuffed peppers, salad and potatoes. We watched the news for a bit and then I got ready to go to the Headquarters. I got my costume back on (and discovered later part of it was on backwards). Just as I was leaving three kids came to the door (it was after 6) It was Shannon Dolan and two of her friends. They were very cool. Shannon was dressed as a spider, her friend was a dragon and his sister was a snow princess. I headed to the car and drove to the gas station.
It didn’t take long for me to get the gas. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. It cost me about $25. I headed to Headquarters. Tessa and Mike were there setting stuff up. We started folding literature to be delivered in the districts. After a while, Mom came. Then a couple of the guys from the other districts came and set up signs and so did the Chairman Rich Smith. We worked until 9 and then headed home.
Mom took the long way home and I took the highway and I got home before her. It was way too funny. There was candy left in the basket that Mom left out on the porch so we took it back in. While Mom got into her pajamas I put the recyclable stuff out. It didn’t take long...
I have been updating files, sending some emails, and updating calendars. The reason for that is on Saturday I will be helping out with the literature drop in the 4th District. WE are meeting at Mike and Tessa’s house at 9.
I had a little online chat with my pen pal Lisa S from Kansas. She is recovering from her surgery slowly I guess. She got my letter and enjoyed it. She asked if I had any stickers and I told her I didn’t know that I would look around. I just remembered there are some in the closet. I told her I would send them to her in the next letter I write.
I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest sympathies to the family, friends, colleagues, and fans of the talented Robert Goulet. He died Tuesday while waiting on a lung transplant he was 73. I am sitting here trying to remember the first time I heard of him and I am sure he was on a bunch of shows. When I first started to follow Lee Majors I saw him on a repeat of the Big Valley. I always thought he was a cool singer and obviously good looking.
Well I better get off and get to bed. I am starting to get sleepy and I have another long day ahead of me.

October 30, 2007
Good Morning! It is after 9 and I am at work. It is another chilly morning but beautiful. I got here a little before 8 and chatted with Terry and Ann. I told them what I was dressing up as (a cat). For some reason Ann couldn’t resist making jokes about it.
The day has gone by with pretty much out incident. I finished yesterday’s mail but need to sort and deliver them. I have to finish today’s yet but I don’t know if I will or not.
I wrote an email to Jim today. I told him that I sent cards to the kids to let them know I was thinking of them. I told him how things were going here.
Not much else to write about. I do see Debra after work today.
It is almost 7:30 and I am sitting in my room. The traffic was tied up on the highway so I came home via the shoreline. I drove from Long Wharf, to Howard Avenue to West Haven. I didn’t get home until may be quarter of 6. Mom wasn’t home yet from her meeting so I got a ham salad sandwich for myself. A short time later Mom came home. I finished it and we talked about her day and the traffic. Mom also put on a fresh batch of pea soup. It almost burned but I turned it down.
I left here a little after 6 for the Headquarters. I got there before 6:30 and found out that there isn’t a mailing and so I could go home. I didn’t mind that at all. I am really tired. I was back here by 20 of 7.
Mom was in her pajamas and watching the news. She checked on the soup a couple of times. She did tell me her friend Sis Wilkinson who was staying at Mediplex died yesterday. I told her it will be odd not to hear her voice when she calls about the monthly luncheons for their class. According to Mom that job has now been given to her.
We watched the show Nova on PBS tonight. Actually Mom was still watching it when I went upstairs. It was trying to get seven people ready for the Boston Marathon. It was interesting but I just feel tired and wanted to go to bed.
I don’t feel like even writing any letters. I know that sounds bad but I just really don’t feel like doing much of anything.
I am going to do some journal reading and then go to sleep.
Have a great night…

I woke up really early today
Good Morning, I couldn’t sleep anymore so I decided to get up and get online. I received an email from a guy who has a pen pal blog. I told him I was interested in participating and having a newsletter. He had written me back on Saturday twice. I had missed both of them. I felt terrible. I sent him my address but I really hope I am not getting myself into trouble. The newsletter will start in December. I did make a request I would answer women only. I hope he understands.
Well I have been here nearly two hours. I was a little late leaving the house. We had some serious frost over night and it took a few minutes to defrost the car. When I drove by the New Haven Register their clock read 39 degrees. Whoa.
I got to the office by 10 after 8 Lou from GoFor was here and left me the charts. I had about 11 charts to deliver and it took an hour. After that I came back and started working on the lockbox. I sorted and delivered Fridays. Then I worked on today’s. I suspect I will be able to finish it today if I don’t keep on the net too much.
Oh cool we can dress up on Wednesday! Tony D just gave me a flyer for us with the announcement. I have no idea what I am going to dress up as. I may not be able to with this short notice.
Well it is quarter of 12 and I am back working at the lockbox. The post office mail was very light and there was no more mail for me in the cashier’s office. This is a good thing. That means I can do as much as I can to get this place in order.
Well I went out at lunch time and got some peanut butter, candy (for Ann and Gayle), hot pockets, a pasta dish and a couple of Cadbury Eggs for Christmas. I had one hot pocket and gave the other one to Jocelyn.
I have already done the charts for tomorrow. I have ordered 14 charts which is a good thing considering this week is month end. I hope that I get a small amount or none.
I saw the post man for downstairs and he says there is a lot of mail down there for me. Aw pooh. I don’t want to get it today. I will get it first thing tomorrow.
I talked with Mom a couple of times today. The first time she told me I forgot her plants outside. She wanted me to bring them in before they got destroyed by the cold. Neither of us counted on the frost happening. I told her I would do it when I got home. She had errands to run and then she would get ready for the meeting tonight. When I called the second time she was still doing errands. She was also trying to figure out what I was going to have dinner. She will have a plat for me to nuke when I get home.
Well it is nearly 8 pm and I am in my pajamas. I have been watching Little People Big World and I tell you that little Jake really needs to get slapped. I know his father is “a little person” but that kid still needs to maintain some freaking respect.
Mom is at the Bridges Annual Meeting. She left here a little after 5 and she looked awesome. She always does when she goes out. I had dinner of ham and potatoes and made a sandwich out of it. I also had some pita chips and more bread. I also had some potato chips too.
I have gotten another email from Joe and he told me he would put my address and looking only for female pen pals. I was going to ask him if there will be a fee but I didn’t feel comfortable about asking.
I was looking over my mail today and among them was some TIAA-Cref updates, the AARP Credit card statement, and a DMV emissions late fee letter. I will get that out tomorrow. I probably could get the Registration payment out too but I don’t want to yet.
Mom came home around 9 from the meeting. She sent it went very well. She has a new gavel and will leave it here. It is made of wood. She says that Beverly Streit-Kefalas was there and taking pictures.
Mom also made mention that Beverly wants to meet with the both of us to discuss “the future” when Mom isn’t around. If I sit here long enough I will freak but I asked Mom if she had some concerns right now and she said no. I asked her about thinking that the Bercury’s were her lawyers and she said no that Beverly has done her will. At this point there is no reason for me to panic or get overwhelmed.
Well I have updated one calendar for birthdays. I can do the others tomorrow. Two of them are for relatives for tomorrow. They are my Cousin Shelley and our Uncle Ray. I hope they have a great time.
Oh no. Liz C in NY lost her job again. She says she was laid off. It is after 6 days. They said she didn’t have enough experience in the job they originally hired her for so they moved her to another position.
Well it is getting late and I am getting tired. I think its time I hit the sack….see you tomorrow.

October 28, 2007
Good Morning! It is just 8:30 and the sun is out. I can see it is a bit breezy because the trees are moving. I am not sure how cold it is yet. I guess I had an allergy attack yesterday because I feel fine today.
Sadly JoAnne H’s husband passed away yesterday. JoAnne posted to most of her lists the link to the death notice. She posted her address for sympathies cards to be sent. Everyone has expressed their condolences.
Bingo went well to day and I got to see Nancy Aponte. She has gone part time for now until she has recovered from her surgery. It was really great to see her. I think we had up to twelve people today. Before leaving the nursing home I had a little chat with Claudia. She is the front desk secretary on alternating weekends. She is also contemplating giving her two weeks notice. Things have been happening that she doesn’t like and is tired of it.
Well it is almost 7:30 at night. Mom came home from the walkathon about 2:30. I spent the afternoon either on the computer or watching TV or taking a nap here and there. I did call Telka but she wasn’t home and I haven’t called her again. I think it’s too late.
I went to the 4:30 mass at ST Mary’s this afternoon. I stayed out of trouble but these three elderly people were talking in the front pew and this who sat in the pew ahead of me on my left got up and said something to them. The mass got out a little after 5. I headed home.
Dinner wasn’t ready when I got home (It was still cooking) so I took a quick run over to CardSmart to get a few cards and it was closed. I came back and Mom said dinner wouldn’t be ready until 6. I came upstairs and watched TV for a bit and did some internet surfing.
I had a funny experience today. When of my Yahoo 360 friends posted that Day Light Savings ended for her. Well I thought for a moment that perhaps we did have DLS after all (two of the VCR clocks changed and confused me terribly). I come to find out she is in Europe. I think it is Germany. The US changes their clock next Sunday.
Mom was working on her speech for the annual Bridges meeting in which she is officially made Chairman of the Board. Our friend Stella knows now but I don’t know what her reaction was...Well I found out she was pleased. As mom said why wouldn’t she?
There have been a lot of discussions in both the Yahoo 360 user group as well as the other journaling groups about Yahoo 360 closing and the premise of Mash (or is it Mesh). Someone signed me up and its okay nothing great but not totally bad. I have heard of another blogging program or site. I am not sure if I want to sign up for it or not. Do I have too many blogs now? I sometimes think I do. I will see what happens as the time progresses.

I really had fun last night
I had a great time last night. I got home from work by 4:30 and Mom was getting dinner ready and we ate at 5. After dinner I got ready and left just before 6. A short time later I was at Liz’s. We were waiting on Nelson to bring the car back from the gas station and for Liz’s Friend Ellen to come. We left after that for Cheryl’s house.
It was raining when we left and continued to rain all night. The drive was pretty good. Despite the fact Liz pissed me off a little. She and I were so sure we knew when Milford High closed. We didn’t get loud or anything but I ended up saying she may be right. She was also saying how difficult Cheryl can be about certain things.
Traffic was a little slow at some points but we managed to get to Cheryl’s by 7. Some of Cheryl’s friends and relatives were already there. Stephanie came in right behind us with all of her supplies.
We ate for a bit (an assortment of chips and dips and cheese and crackers). After that Stephanie set up her display some of us had our feet soaking in tubs with warm water and various soaks and lotions. Facial creams to purchase. Stephanie did an awesome job. We were there until 9 or 9:30.
By the time I left my hands were starting to hurt. As we drove home we talked about things in general and again how difficult Cheryl is with her husband and I got the impression that things are not always well with the Maratea family. Liz was then talking about a moose being killed in the area. We talked about the time we were all in Vermont for Jim’s wedding and there were thousand of moose crossing signs and either one moose or no moose. Liz insisted that Mom had been drunk that night. I wish she would knock it off about that.. We got to Liz’s some time around quarter of 10. I was back at the house by 10.
Mom was watching TV and I got on the computer in my room. Unfortunately it would be hours before I went to sleep thanks to the ice tea and the coffee I had. I also had the runs. Yeah it was really fun stuff. I guess I was so tired that I would trip over stuff on the floor (shoes etc). I got so annoyed with myself that I was yelling at myself. Mom heard me. I told her what was going on.
I don’t know what time I finally fell asleep but it was nearly 8 when I got up. Mom was in her pajamas still and reading the paper. I decided to go online for a bit and read emails and forums.
After a while I got showered and dressed and started my laundry. Mom got dressed too and we took the storm door and put it in the car. Mom decided to tale to the repair place.
For some reason I started sneezing and haven’t stopped. I did take a nap a couple of times and have taken the day time stuff and every so often it stops only to start up again.
Mom and I had beef vegetable soup she made today. It was delicious. We were watching Globe Trekker and Road Trip 2007. As we were watching it I noticed that the sun was just coming out in the eastern sky. In other words just above the horizon.
I can’t believe how quickly the day went by. I feel as though I missed out on something. I didn’t get a whole lot done. I split my time between the laundry, sleeping, and watching TV.
I did manage a call to Telka and asked about the conference call. We are going to do it tomorrow when I have some free time. I hope she plans on staying on the line long enough to do the other minutes as well.
Well I am going to post this. I have the urge to lie across the bed again but if I do that I won’t be able to sleep tonight.

A chilly Friday
Good Friday Morning it is a chilly one at that but still beautiful. I am sitting at work right now. The Medical Records department threw a monkey wrench into my plans today. If you remember yesterday I might have mentioned they didn’t send a whole bunch of charts over and they also didn’t send the reasons why (usually the request form back with info). Well today they did. I was expecting 12 charts originally I got nearly 22. Some people are not here to get the charts and these have to go back and now will have to be reordered.
Right now though I am going through the personal mail and readdressing them and sending it out. I am also writing some letters to Debra and a few of my pen pals. I hope today will be an easy day.
Well I got a flyer for a neat thing. On November 2, 2007 we will have a dress down Friday but it will be for $5.00 (minimum donation). I am sure going to do that! I have to make sure I will have enough to do that.
Well it is almost 11:30 and I am now working on the lockbox. It came to me late around 11 I think. I have already done the post office mail and have been reading some emails. I got one from Patrick W this morning. I was congratulating him on a great fundraiser the other night. He wrote back he is working and fighting a cold. I wrote back telling him to get rest…J
I was planning on going out to the bank again but when I looked out the window it looked cold and damp. The sun is hiding behind the clouds again. I will stay in and probably write some letters.
I sent an email to Telka to find out what time we are teleconferencing tomorrow. I don’t think it will be after 6 tomorrow. I hope it is in the afternoon. I don’t know if she has plans or not. I still have to revise I think one previous set of minutes plus the new ones as well.
I talked with Mom earlier this morning. She has a meeting at 3 with Bridges and will fix something for dinner for later. I hope she remembers I am going out with Liz. She remembered last night and told me to bring money with me but not to go hog wild.
Well I think I will at least start a letter to Stacey B in PA. I will forward it to my home email and work on it the rest of the weekend. Well I didn’t get far with it but I sent it home.
I am going to get back to work. I will try and check in before I leave for the day…

A Dark Thursday
It is quarter of 7 and still dark. I can’t wait for the time change. I am tired of getting up at 6:30 and it still being dark. I know that means it will be dark at 5 pm instead of six but it has been getting darker even before 6 pm in the last few days. I just checked the Weather.com site and it is 51 degrees right now and it is going to be rainy and cloudy all day.
Mom tells me she has a meeting at 3 pm so I am going to do the emissions when I leave from work. I have to go to the bank at lunch time and get some money out. It shouldn’t take very long the guy I spoke with earlier this week says it should take 20 minutes.
Well it is now 7 am and I still have to get dressed and put the garbage out. I will see you later.
I have been here since before 8. The ride in didn’t seem so bad. That is until I got to the exit for the garage. It was long and on to the highway. So I went via the Office drive way. This one guy was walking across the street in the crosswalk as though he was going on a Sunday stroll. I was really anxious because he wasn’t moving fast enough for me. There wasn’t any traffic to speak of on George Street. I got in the garage via George and Temple Streets.
Before heading to the office I mailed Lisa’s letter. I hope she gets it soon. I am hoping she isn’t the type to keep saying “I haven’t gotten your letter yet” I mean yes she was doing that when I hadn’t written her but I mean when I know I have sent it to her.
When I got here I went to pick up the mail from Registration and Patient Services and stopped by Shirley’s office to see if she had anything going back to the mailroom. I noticed she had things in her office for a party. The Collections and Patient Services department is having a party. (I think it’s a baby shower for Thawana B.) Jocelyn was a little put out because she has been included in these things before and neither of us were this time.
After that I was ready for the charts. I had ordered a great deal of charts and they only sent 13 or 14 charts and they also sent some of the request forms back with no explanation. I called MR to find out what was going on. Vivian the liaison didn’t have a good answer. Patti wants me to order the charts that came back with no explanation for Monday. She wasn’t pleased.
I called Mom this morning. She was having her coffee. I can’t help think that she is still annoyed with me from the other night. As I told Donna this morning I am tired of this. I am tired of her telling me how to live my life. Whether I am here at work or at home. I pay room and board and I have helped her out in so many ways.
Anyway, she has a meeting at three and then the CPAC meeting at 7. I will do the emissions testing then. I should be home shortly after that.
It is almost 11:30 and I am just finishing up lockbox. The main part of the Post office mail is done. I am just waiting on Mike to bring me the rest of the campus mail and see if there any stragglers in the pile. I went downstairs to check for mail there but it hasn’t come yet.
Even though it is still raining I plan on going to the bank at lunch time. I am thinking of also getting a wrap from Subway because I am hungry, tired, and getting a headache from not eating—much.
Mike came after 11:30 and didn’t bring me much of mail. It is readdress mail basically. I can finish that after lunch. Right now though I am going to get some water on my face.
I took my walk today at lunch time. It had some minor excitement. These two people (who were either homeless or patients for a halfway house) were talking and walking by the corner of Crown and College and they were talking about the woman’s food. The guy was teasing her but looking at me when he said it. My response was “whatever”. He started yelling at me. I told him that he was looking at me when he said that. I realize that was incredibly dangerous but I didn’t think of it until after I was half way to the bank.
I made it to the bank okay got through the line and then headed to Subway and got my lunch. One veggie wraps to go. As usual it was very delicious. I was walking down Temple and ran into this man. If you know anything about New Haven (as in any town I guess) you either like him or you don’t. We talked for a few minutes and then he went to his meeting and I came back to the office.
I didn’t realize I was ten minutes late back from lunch. I did the requests right away and ordered 12 for tomorrow. After that I got rid of the bad addresses and then into the readdress mail. I will be doing that for the rest of the day.
I talked with Liz today. She is going to be babysitting Audrey tonight. Stephanie and Chris are taking Jason to the Circus at Harbor Yard Arena. According to Liz it’s a surprise. We got to talking about the kids. How funny they can be. For example she was talking to Chris on the phone the other day and Jason gets on and they started talking about sports. Liz asked him if he like the game and he told her he likes hockey. Neither Chris (Dad) or Liz knew he could say hockey let alone know what it is. Audrey either laughs or cries.
Liz also asked me about how things are going and how Mom is. I told her Mom is doing well. Busy but good. I told her that Mom has been voted in as chairman of the Bridges Board. She said good for her. Liz tells me that everyone else is well and she would email Junior's address soon.
Well I have an hour left before leaving so I am going to post this and check emails really quick. I will check in before going to bed tonight.
Well just as I promised I am checking in. The emissions test went just fine. It took about all of ten minutes. The drive to the Firestone seemed to take longer than that. Traffic was rather heavy for a Thursday. At least I made it there and got home by 5.
Mom wasn’t home yet so I had left over eggplant from last night. It was good. How could it not be? For dessert I had some pumpkin bread and ice cream. I decided to watch TV. It was Charmed 8th Season. I just couldn’t get into it tonight. I watched a little bit of “Star Trek Voyager”.
Mom came home around 6. I had been upstairs and she apologized for being late. I told her I had dinner already. She felt that was a good choice. She finished it for her own dinner.
While Mom had dinner I came went upstairs and wrote out some checks in preparation for pay day. After a while we got ready for our meetings.
Mom left before I did and I left around 7. I stopped at the shell mini-mart and got some soda (Sierra mist diet). I headed to the Club and parked the car and went in with a few others and helped set up the chairs.
The meeting got started and Rich started with a few opening comments about the recent Board of Ed debates that were held this past week and a few articles attacking him as the Town Chairman. He introduced Nancy DeNardo the Chair of the State Central Committee and she spoke about the importance of the elections and our participation and the events of the next year.
After she spoke we continued with the business portion. We had campaign reports and board and district reports. Mom came near the end of the meeting. After the meeting we made some endorsement videos for Kerri that will be on the website as well as this fine man's blog. I even did one and I was a nervous wreck.
I asked a few people who went to the fundraiser at Patrick’s house last night what they thought of the house. I was praising the house and of course Patrick. I need to send him an email before going to bed.
We were home before 9. Mom was on the computer when I got home. We both got into our pajamas and I wrote a letter to my friend Gail in California to pay for the “raffle prize”. I wrote out some more checks and updated my checkbook.
Now that it is getting late and my hands, and arms hurt a little I am going to bed. I took my meds and some ibuprofen so they won’t be hurting for long.
Have a great night everyone…

October 24, 2007
Good Morning everyone it is after 7 and still a little dark. Sunrise is supposedly in 14 minutes. However we are supposed to be getting some showers and I don’t know when that’s supposed to start.
I spent way too much time on the computer yesterday. I could have done a lot more things at work if I wasn’t on it. So I am going to try not to get on as much. Usually Wednesday’s are my catch up day. Lately it has been Thursday.
I will be teleconferencing with Telka sometime this week to go over the minutes. I am not sure what day yet. I got an email over night in response to my email last night.
Well it is getting late and I need to get dressed for work.
Well I have been here an hour and I am working on yesterday’s mail and hopefully should be done with it soon I hope. There isn’t much going on around here except work. Everyone seems to be doing okay. Well not really. Two people from Finance were sent home. They both weren’t feeling well.
I got an email from Lisa S in Kansas yesterday. She never received the letter. That can only mean I sent it to the wrong address. Gee whiz. When I get home I will print it up again and mail it to the right address this time. There is one thing I have to say though. I am going to send it with the “received receipt” so that I know she got it. Just incase she does “I didn’t get your letter’ again. I have a feeling she is going to be difficult. If she is persistent about people writing her and constantly reminding them then something tells me she is going to be saying she doesn’t get the letters.
I did get online just to get the radio listings and checked emails and then got off. Actually it is on but I just have to click on the tab but the point is I haven’t gone back to it yet.
I just had a little break. I checked some emails and the forums. The discussion on Typed VS Handwritten letters is going well. It looks like all or most of them don’t mind typed but don’t like form letters. Some don’t care what it is as long as it’s a letter.
It has been raining since I got here. It’s pretty cold in the various areas of the suite. I am hoping to go for a walk at lunch time. I want to walk at least 20 minutes.
I had a lull in my work so I hopped on and was reading some stuff this very retarded stuff. Why do people indulge these morons? Of course I blocked him so I wouldn’t have to see the stupid thread. Let’s see if the others can be good enough to not answer any more.
Anyway I am just waiting for the Campus part of the mail to come. If there isn’t a lot of (keeping my fingers crossed here) I can work on other stuff. For example the bulk mail again. Maybe I can get a few letters done if possible.
I ended up not going out at lunch time. Instead I had soup from Terry M…one of my many “Moms” around here. She is terrific. During lunch I did surf the net.
I had to revise the Medical Records list because Patti brought me some more to order for tomorrow. It didn’t take long. Once I finished that I worked on the Bad Addresses. There were 214 pieces of bad addresses.
OH man…Gwen H is going to give me a headache. She had several interoffice envelopes for reimbursement and she put them in one of the trays on a bookshelf in my office that is for “courier outgoing”. Well Reimbursement is within this floor. I had to point it out to her. I couldn’t explain what that particular tray was so I asked Patty she didn’t really know. I called Dottie and she explained to me. We really need to keep those separate for the credentialing. I just told Patti what they were and so she understood. I am glad I got that straightened out.
I have heard from my pen pal Lyn in Australia. She was asking about the fires in California. I wrote back and told her as much as I knew. I told her I have a letter for her soon.
Well I am going to post this and then get the EOB’s sorted and delivered.
Well I have been home about three hours. Mom was upstairs working on her computer when I got home. I thanked her for her email and she made a comment about being on the computer during work hours. She really doesn’t know when to quit. Anyway, she told me we wouldn’t be eating for a while.
I went downstairs and watched Charmed. Then around 5 Mom came downstairs to work on dinner. She made eggplant, pork and rice, various vegetables, and croissants. For dessert she made pumpkin bread. It was very delicious.
While she made that I updated some pen pal files. I reprinted my letter to Lisa Smith that I wrote a few weeks ago. I had gotten the email from her indicating she hadn’t received the letter as I mentioned in my entry last night. It is already to be mailed out.
Right now I can here the rain falling outside my window. It isn’t hard but I can hear it along with the wind blowing. I have the window still open from last night. Mom keeps hers open most of the time even during the winter.
I called Telka a little while ago because I wasn’t sure if we were going to be teleconferencing tonight about the minutes or not. She isn’t home so that means probably on Saturday sometime we will teleconference.
My left hand is hurting right now I suspect it had to do with canned soup I had (it was salty) and the pork tonight. I would imagine there was some salt in the eggplant and of course the cheese on the salad.
It is now after 9 and I haven’t really done much of anything except watch TV. I think I am going to go take a nice hot bath and then go to bed.

Long Day
It is lunch time here at YMG. I have been very low key today for a couple of reasons. One I didn’t go to sleep until after 1. I am also pissed off at Mom. It is probably my own fault in so many ways. I was saying goodnight to her and asked if there was a scratch or bruise on my face. I promptly explained where I got it from. Possibly was scratched from the young kid at church. She says you were playing with someone in church? Shame on You! She was dead serious. WHO THE FUCK do you think you are talking to? I was furious. I came downstairs and started venting (for a lack of a better term). I am not sure if she could hear me or not frankly don’t care. Just as it was inappropriate for me to be playing games with the kid in Church it is equally inappropriate for Mom to make comments such as the one she said last night.
I was so pissed that everyone thing on TV last night annoyed me. The advertisements for what ever was on. The shows which could have been anything right now I don’t know.
Hey all! I am just going to pop in and say good night. I am really tired. Things here are okay. I saw Debra today and told her how things were. I told her how annoyed I was with Mom and then it went from “I don’t want to get into the ‘I am victim’ mode. I can’t even remember what else we talked about. Basically that I don’t want to be told I can’t be angry (or annoyed or hurt) when people say or do things that are inappropriate. Such as what Mom did last night. After the session I headed back to the car.
The weather changed with in a matter of an hour. When I arrived at Debra’s office it was sunny and breezy. When I left it was overcast and cooler then it was. I walked back to the car and drove home. The traffic was pretty good for 5:15. I was home by 5:30.
Mom was sitting in her chair and dinner was cooking it was pork and rice. We would be eating shortly. I looked at her and told her she looked how I felt. She was falling asleep in the chair. I couldn’t help feel she was still annoyed with me from last night. We sat down and had our dinner.
While we had dinner we watched the 5:30 news. The fires in Southern California were the big news plus some more info on the Cheshire home invasion that occurred this summer. The two men planned this for a while. Some would say the Doctor (the survivor) had some thing to do with this whole nightmare.
After Dinner I got ready to go to the Headquarters. The drive was okay. It was getting dark and there was still some sun. I got here right before 6:30. The production line was in full swing with the kids from the high schools. There were definitely more kids there then last week. Kerri was there on the phone for a bit and then she had a meeting to go to. Laurie Fucci came as well. She even brought goodies. We worked until 7:15 and I chatted with the kids before their rides came.
Claire Casey came to pick up her son. We had a chance to talk. I asked her if I was rude to her at the meeting and she said no. She was in a bad mood and she was pissed at Tessa. She really didn’t get into it which is okay. We talked about going to the fundraiser tomorrow and neither of us can do it. We got a chance to talk about high school. Her husband’s family all went to Foran.
It was quarter of 7 when I finally got in the car and drove home. The drive wasn’t bad either. I was home by 8. Mom was in her pajamas and watching TV. We talked for a bit and I told her I talked with CC and I told Mom that CC was pissed at Tessa that night. I don’t think it please Mom hearing that news. She feels the district isn’t pulling together like they should.
After a while I went upstairs and watched TV and then got online for a bit and also was writing this. I started writing this and also took a bath. I have taken my meds and now have the Echoes program on. I am going to bed.

October 22, 2007
Afternoon everyone! It is nearly 70 degrees this afternoon and I have been out once since I got here. I went for a walk at lunch time. It wasn’t a long one but enough to get some exercise.
I just had a lot of mail today after all. Actually the Post office mail seemed light but the lockbox is normal for Monday. I spent the morning finishing up Friday’s mail it just needs to be sorted and delivered. I haven’t really done much with the readdress/personal mail yet.
Things around here are fine. Alise S from the Finance office returned from her time off. I suspect things are not well with her sister. Niamba returned from a week off tending to her son who had surgery a while back.
I spent a lot of time online today. More than I really should have. I read some emails. I answered some emails and read some journals. I got one from Tessa. She had made suggestions for the revisions. I will have to do that when I get home tonight.
Awesome! I just called the Firestone Tire center on Boston Post Road to schedule an appointment and I don’t need one I can just go there. Well as long as I am there by 5. It will take 20 minutes and just have to pay $20. I will be able to do that sometime this week.
I talked with Mom briefly this morning. She was/is fine. The first time I called she was outside with Carmin (our hairdresser) she brought some plants or something for us. I figured she was still sleeping in.
Well I have about an hour and half left before going home. I have to sort the rejections from Friday. Then I have some more readdressing to do. I have officially run out of labels here. I have already put a request in but don’t expect them anytime soon.
Well it has been a few hours since I wrote. In that time I drove home with no problems. I came in opened my mail. That included a new Union Plus Credit card. Apparently some accounts were tampered with. I activated it and now it is in my dresser. That's where it will stay from now until doomsday.
I have installed Google Earth tonight. I am just learning how to use it. Some of it is cool. Some of it I can do with out. I could use the MSN Virtual Map if I really wanted to.
I also chatted with Donny next door. Pam is leaving tomorrow with 17 students to attend a conference for the agriculture school they are attending. They will be back some time on Sunday.
After a while Mom came home from her meeting. I had already had my dinner and cleaned up by then. Once we chatted we both got into our pajamas and I worked on revising the 4th District minutes and sent them out.
My arms hurt a little so I need to take some ibuprofen and go to bed.
I will see you in the morning.

How important is Religion and Faith?
I am just getting ready for the day. I have been up since 8 and Mom is downstairs. I watched a little bit of TV and got online checking emails.
It is amazing how much the power of prayer and attending Church. It doesn’t matter what faith you are in. Almost every time I go to church I get something out of it. Whether it is the homilies or the readings (in the Catholic Church we call them 1st and Second Readings and then the Gospel Reading). For example the deacon talked about doing service for others. That to me means volunteering and helping others even when it can be getting too much. I felt that way after one of the residents fell on the floor from her wheel chair. We were in the recreation room at the nursing home and I was clearing off the table from bingo. The woman, named Natalie was brought in and she had turned her chair around and then either slid or got up and fell to the floor. She was on her side then on her back. I paged the first floor nursing staff to the recreation room stat. They took over from there. They asked me a few questions and then told me I had to fill out a report (or statement). I did and then after a few minutes of saying goodbye and getting my things I headed to church. They were waiting for emergency squad to come and take her to the hospital to have her checked out. I was more than ten minutes late.
There was this three year old little boy sitting in front of me who was a cute little boy. We entertained each other and at one point he almost fell off the chair. I grabbed him first. I could feel the nerves getting raw.
After church I came home and had a bowl of cereal and watched Bonanza on the TV. I told Mom about it when she got home at one. She listened and said I did the right things. She said it can be very upsetting to have that happen.
Right now Mom is cooking or dinner Fresh pork and I am trying to figure out what I want to do first. I have three different reports to write up (the minutes from three different meetings) and some letters I want to write.
It is another beautiful day here in Milford. The sun is shining and there is a breeze in the air. We opened a few windows to let the air in. I don’t think there will be many more days we can do that. Well actually Mom does that in her room at night. Even during the winter and spring. The current temperature here is 69 degrees. It will stay sunny for the rest of the afternoon. Over night it will be clear and in the low 60’s.
This week will seem very busy for me. There is work all week but Monday I won’t have anything except maybe more minutes. It starts on Tuesday. I will see Debra at our regular time. Then at 6:30 I have to be at the Headquarters for Kerri’s Campaign.
I was supposed to go to the fundraiser at Patrick’s house on Wednesday but I can’t afford to go. I really wanted to see Patrick again. I haven’t seen him since Dave and I went to Lyman Orchards. The district is supposed to be covering the Headquarters but I don’t know if anyone will be there.
Thursday is The DTC meeting at the Elk’s Club. I am not sure what that will be like. There are some things that happened this past week that need to be addressed. I am sure it will be a quick one at that.
Friday I am going to Cheryl’s House with Liz for the Bath and Body Home party. It should be fun. I am told that Stephanie, Sheila H, and Cheryl have this as a sideline and have these every so often. I guess you can call it an Avon party. I won’t be buying anything (and I hope Liz understands that).
Next Weekend will be the last weekend before Halloween. As of right now all that is planned is my regular Saturday and of course Bingo on Sunday. Let’s hope next Sunday is a quiet one at bingo.
I better get to those minutes before time gets away and it will be time for me to go to bed. Have a great afternoon.
Good evening everyone! It is after 8 and I have John Dileberto’s Echoes show on the real player. I am in my pajamas and about to write up some more minutes. That is if I can find the agenda for one of them.
Shortly after I posted the entry I decided I would go out for a walk. That was after 4. There was about 2 hours left of daylight. I didn’t want to be walking after dark. I headed from the house to St Agnes Church over on Merwin Avenue. I walked up to the other end of New Haven Avenue by Treats and Adams Grocery store. I walked back to the house and was home by 5.
I decided to read over the minutes I had written (or pasted copy from the women’s club newsletter. I then promptly fell asleep for about 20 minutes. That's when Mom called me for dinner. The aroma was delicious.
She had the fresh pork with spices on it. There were roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and turnip and apple sauce. To me it felt like a thanksgiving dinner or a Sunday dinner the way we used to have it when I was younger. Mom was still working at the railroad and so was Dad. She also made these type dinners during the week as well.
While we had dinner we watched Lidia’s Italian Kitchen (or whatever it is called now). She made pot roast and something else. After that we watched Daisy Cooks. She had a calamari dish. No offense but yuck. I have never liked calamari.
After dinner Mom and I started cleaning the kitchen. Mom had to make gravy for the pork for tomorrow’s dinner. I finished putting some of the dinner dishes in and she finished the rest of it.
I watched some of the L&O franchises. I worked on the minutes for a bit and then took a shower and washed my hair. For some reason that song “I ‘m gonna wash that man out of my hair-or if you remember the hair coloring commercials of the 70’s and 80’s doing a take off of it keeps running through my head.
I have been reading my friend Satia's journal. She wrote about her close encounter with the Dali Lama in her Georgia town. It is pretty good. I have it booked mark to keep updated.
Well I found the agenda and still working on the minutes. As usual they will be 1 to 1 ½ pages long. For once I would like to see them one page. I don’t really think that will ever happen.
Well good night everyone!
Kate

October 20, 2007
It looks like it is a beautiful morning out there. It is a bit cool but nice. Mom is in the bathroom getting ready for the funeral and I am shredding some old documents. I haven’t been up long.
I finally fell asleep after 2:30. I tried everything to get to sleep. I got online; I played several rounds of solitaire. I didn’t do very well there. I had a very weird dream.
It started to rain again during the night but it didn’t last long either. That’s probably why it is so lovely this morning.
Hey all it is almost 2 and Mom isn’t home yet. I expected that. I am still working on the clothes and folding stuff that needs to be put way for the season. I am also going through old papers and getting rid of stuff.
For example I have an email I wrote to the web mistress of Whoosh back in January of 2000. She had given an editorial on her site about Lucy Lawless and her charitable contribution history. I had some dealings with her prior to this about the lack of Hercules items on her site. Supposedly it was about Xena and Hercules with emphasis on Xena. Anyway in the email I wrote that I felt it was highly inappropriate and rude for her to comment or demand that LL make a contribution to a particular charity. I don’t think I have ever gotten a response to that email. I seem to remember she thought I was rather delusional.
I have also been shredding some other emails that I had from 2000 from other fellow Sorbo Fans. At the time we were talking about the fandom and life in general. I think I was having problems with my computer at the time.
I have also shredded a letter to Debra I wrote back in March. It included a spill (AKA a fall) at the garage. I am going to indicate on the document log for her that I did shred it. I know this may sound extremely boring. For me it will help to know what I did with stuff (even if I had the logs).
It has been a couple of hours now. Mom has been home since 3. I have been watching TV and still writing and getting rid of stuff. She told me the funeral services were very nice. The Bowery’s five sons and their families came and were an integral part of the service.
I went for a walk around 6 tonight. It was very nice. Sunset was just a little after 6. It was fun walking along the beach and looking at the homes that were all lit up. To be able to be see how it was decorated. There was music coming out of one house. I couldn’t see anyone but it was nice to hear.
I stopped and talked with this one family playing out in their yard. They were renovating. What caught my eye is an inflatable Gargoyle. That started off a discussion about Gargoyle movies. After a while we talked about the house being built by Scribner’s restaurant.
Soon it was time for their dinner so I walked home. It was close to 7. Mom was in her pajamas and watching Nature. After several promos and ads for different shows TOH was one. We watched and it was cool. I went on to the website and see that they have already started on the second project of the season. A place in New Orleans.

Rainy Friday
It is quarter of ten and I am working on the mail. It is humid out and raining. Things are pretty good. Everyone seems to be in a fairly good mood. Lavon brought in breakfast for everyone on her last day on Gayle’s team. Monday she starts on Patti’s team.
I am for all intensive purposes okay. I am a little nervous because I could have sworn I put the Aetna insurance check that I received yesterday in my bag. It’s not there. I wanted to mail it to the credit union. I hope I left it on the bed this morning or on the floor.
I called Mom this morning but the voice mail picked it up instead. I hope she remembers to check that. It’s been a long while since that happened. I guess she is already on the phone with someone. I will call her back at lunch time to see what she is up to.
I got a chance to email Telka again this morning I showed her some of the emails I got from Ellen over the last few days. We both agreed that if I had gone to the skating show it would have been an ambush. Telka told me how the Breast Cancer Awareness Vigil went last night. The healing shawl project was compliment and spoken on by Mayor Richetelli. She told me she talked to Betty Pod. I asked how the job went and how she was doing and no answer. I have a feeling she didn’t get into great detail about it.
I think Liz and Nelson return from their 4 day trip to MA today. It will be good to hear their voices and see them if I can. They went up to visit a friend they haven’t seen in about a year. He and his wife moved to the Carolina’s many years ago. They keep in touch from time to time.
I haven’t heard from Jim and the kids since last weekend. Actually I should probably get Jamie’s email address as well as Kristina’s. I still have to mail their Halloween cards I got last week to them. Claudia and Emily have yet to cash the check I sent in early September for Emily’s birthday. I hope they do it soon.
We haven’t heard from Bob or Ethel in a couple of weeks. I guess no news is good news at this point. I wonder if I should call them and see what’s up. All I do know is Diane is waiting to hear if she got a job on another touring company.
Well its time to get to the Post office mail. I will check in with you all in a while.
I am back its lunchtime and my desk looks like it burped up and there are so much paper around me that I feel a little overwhelmed. I tried calling Mom again she is out and about.
I tried to write Ann S from England but I knew I would not be able to finish it today so I sent it to home. I will update it when I get home.
Oh man I am starting to get really tired. I almost fell asleep.
Well there is nearly an hour left before I leave for Debra’s. I still have the mail to open but I can do that on Monday. I am doing readdress mail right now. Everything else is done.
Angel has relented and is allowing for prayers. She didn’t really say she was sorry for the whole thing. Someone by the name of Connie raked her over the coals. I wouldn’t be surprised if more people left the group. However, I am not I have let go her gaff but if it happens again I probably will leave.
Well I finally got to talk to Mom this afternoon. She has been running. : P She hasn’t been feeling to well from dinner. The cheese was too much. She is going to get her haircut this afternoon and going to the wake this evening (before or during dinner time).
I will be making fish when I get home from Debra’s. It isn’t too hard and it’s quick. I just have to decide rice or vegetables… decisions, decisions. I will let you know what I decided after I have it.
I best get this posted. I have a few more things to do before leaving.
Well it is after 7:30 and its raining hard. It was raining when I left the office. I had some time before getting to Debra’s office so I dropped my bags off at the car and got a hat. I took a few minutes to write out the check for our session. By the time I got to Debra’s office I looked like a drowned rat.
As usual the session flew by but we discussed my Dr’s appointment, the kids’ birthday party last week, and work. I also told her about the recent activities and conflicts on the pen pal lists. I also talked about the fundraiser Patrick is giving at his home and from there it went into a discussion about how upset I am at Dave. I am pissed at him for being so stupid. I will continue to be pissed at him because he will never take responsibility for anything he does or says and will blame everyone for his problems.
After the session I walked back to the car. It was really raining hard and traffic was terrible. The wind picked up a few times too. I was waiting to hear the sounds of thunder and flashes of lightening. Neither of those things happened. Thankfully!
I drove home via the long way. That means by the police station, the railroad station and then to Long Wharf and then on the highway. For some reason there were two police cars at the intersection of Union Avenue and Church Street South. I didn’t know why and it was beginning to make me nervous. I couldn’t wait to get on the highway.
Oh the highway was wonderful. Not even close. Everyone was going 40 miles an hour. I got home by quarter of 6. I caught the last 15 minutes of Charmed. It was the episodes of post Utopia and pre-Leo on trial.
For my dinner was already to be put in the oven. Mom had in one dish 1 sweet potato cut up with bits of butter on it. In another dish there was a piece of Tilapia on a bed of onions and tomatoes. I cooked it for 30 minutes. I made some of that instant cappuccino drink and had that and for dessert I had ice cream. After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen and had watched TV.
It was 7 when Mom came in. She had the same type of traffic on the way home. It was still raining. She came in checked messages and got into her pajamas. We talked about tomorrow and about the fact that Liz invited me to a bath and body shop party.
Liz had called early and we had a few minutes to talk before my dinner. Liz wanted to invite me to Cheryl’s house for those body shop parties for next Friday. I told her I would go. It would be fun. I have to leave here by ten of 6. We will be leaving from her house by 6:15. We also talked about her trip up to MA. They got home yesterday afternoon. She came home to a leaky roof. Not a good sign. We had a few moments to giggle over the grandkids. We had to hang up because Liz needed to deal with the leaky roof.
Now that it is almost 9 Mom has had a few phone calls from Mary M. They talked about the funeral for tomorrow. She knows the Bowery’s from a long time ago. She was never a part of the Knitwits. She told me she will be going to the funeral home and to the funeral and to the cemetery and to the gathering afterwards. I did offer to go with her but she said she didn’t want me to use my time. I teased and told her tomorrow was Saturday. The only thing I would be using my time would be away from my house cleaning.
I think I am going to take a bath and relax and then get ready for some letter writing I don’t think I will be going to bed anytime soon.
I am for all intensive purposes okay. I am a little nervous because I could have sworn I put the Aetna insurance check that I received yesterday in my bag. It’s not there. I wanted to mail it to the credit union. I hope I left it on the bed this morning or on the floor.

Long Day for a Thursday
Good Morning it is after 9:30 and I am at work. It was a very foggy morning and although I made it into work okay it was a bit unnerving when you can’t see much. The fog lifted as I got to the garage.
I walked to the office with Howard and we talked about the Ellen Degeneres controversy with the animal rescue. As usual the Media is adding fuel to the fire. I agree with the DJ from Walk 95 (Long Island) that she did sound a little overboard. Now I understand the organization is getting death threats and that’s just outrageous. I feel that if Ellen’s intent was to embarrass the organization than shame on her. I read some articles on line and there is mixed reactions some for Ellen and some are against the organization.
Wow today the atmosphere here is really tense. Patti who is usually easy going was a bit sharp but said later on to me that she is okay. I don’t have to be afraid to walk into her office. So I jumped up and down and made a lot of noise. J
Well I had a very vague conversation with Lee Ann today. Apparently there was a problem and she called all the managers on the carpet and they got into trouble. As I said Lee Ann was pretty vague about the circumstances. I figured it had to do with Recess. She said that’s another issue they will have to deal with.
Wanda Brown another union rep came up to me as I was walking back to my office and she asked me about recess. She wanted me to know that it is NOT mandatory and they were going to talk to Marianne (the big boss) about it on Friday. I explained that I told Patti I was working and that I was surprised to find out the hours. Just about then I saw Sue behind me (she is a real winner-that was being sarcastic). As we were walking I was told “if I want to” I can work until 4. But the hours will be from 8-2. I asked if we will get paid double time so no problem.
Did I mention that I contacted Ellen about the skating? She replied to me later on in the day. Just that she was sorry I couldn’t come. She was wondering who else will help her when she tries to get on Amtrak. I offered to meet her there and tell her which one to get on. I also contacted Telka. Telka hadn’t heard from her and suspects that Ellen has sided with the “opposition”.
For some reason I have had some concerns today... Mom had a dentist appointment this morning but I haven’t heard from her. I called a couple more times but nothing. I wonder if she is okay.
Well I am going to post this. I have to go to Costco for gas.
It has been a lovely evening. I stopped at Costco and got some gas and got home by quarter of five. Mom was upstairs doing bookwork. We talked about dinner. She really didn’t want to cook so we decided to go out to dinner. At first we were going to go here but decided to eat here. It is ¾ mile from the house.
We started off with salads and bread. For the main course we each had seafood. Mom had swordfish and vegetables and I had shrimp scampi on spaghetti. We had lovely discussions about the political scene in Milford. Mom told me she did her first letter to the editor of the Milford Weekly on taxes and who gets to pay for the education. She feels as I do even though we no longer have children in the education system here we should be helping in our taxes.
After dinner we came home. It had to be after 6:30. Mom is watching TV and hemming some pants and I have been online and watching TV. I just may finish reading email and get ready for bed.
Tomorrow should be a good day even though there will be some heated conversations with Marianne tomorrow about the recess. It is apparently not mandatory. I was talking with Terry M about it and she says no one should be forced to work during recess we do not deal with patients. Only Customer Service, Collections and Registration are the only ones (besides Clinic Reps) that deal with the patients. The rest of us do not. She feels there will be plenty of people who WANT to work. Don’t force it on them.
After work I see Debra and we will discuss the week’s events. It should be a fairly relaxing session. Tomorrow night will probably be laundry night and start cleaning the room.
The Dinner and a movie night at DTC were cancelled as of last night due to lack of participation. I am kind of glad that it isn’t happening. I don’t want to spend $25 for a meal and a movie.
Oh my word. I just remembered that Endicott College in Beverly MA is having their Homecoming and Alumni weekend starting tomorrow. If you want to know about it you can go Endicott College - Homecoming and find out more about it.
Well I am going to check more emails and do some reading. I will see you tomorrow.

October 17 2007
Well what a day. I had a pretty good day at work. I managed to get the mail opened but not sorted or delivered. I still have a couple of piles of readdress mail to do. I started cleaning up around 3:30. Delivered the interoffice mail to Shirley’s area and then stopped at Patti’s to chat with her.
I am not sure what made me think about the Christmas recess I guess I heard some people say they signed up. What I didn’t hear them say is what the hours would be. I told Patti I would work the entire week. She told me the hours are regular hours (8-4). In the past during recess if we worked we worked 8 to 2. But because we have grown in number and size we are not going to do that this year. There might be some Union involvement because of this.
The drive home was okay. It was a bit heavy and there were about 3 cars that decided they wanted to race each other for a couple of miles. It was a bit unnerving. I was home by 4:30.
When I got home I found a letter from Tiffane Barnes. She was originally from California but recently moved to Texas. I am not sure she likes being there. In her letter she was getting ready to see her folks. She hadn’t seen them since July so she was a bit homesick.
Mom came home around 5 (can’t remember now) and started getting our dinner ready. It was spaghetti with clam sauce. She wanted to have Anchovies. I don’t like those at all. So she made it with the clams. While she made dinner I was on the computer.
After dinner we got ready for the District meeting. While I was waiting Mom listened to her phone messages. Sadly a very dear and old friend died today. He was Ed Bowery. He and his wife are part of the Knitwits. They have all known each other for over half a century. Mom was very sad about it. I am not sure but I think she was crying before she came down.
We got to Tessa’s office a little after 7. There were a few people already there and more came after. The meeting was basically what to expect in the next few weeks for the election. There are a few more fundraisers. One of them Patrick is hosting. I don’t remember the date at the moment.
After the meeting Mom and I came home. We noticed the fog rolling in from the water. It didn’t take long but it was pretty cool.
I got the recyclable stuff out and the rest of the garbage can be put out tomorrow. It took about 15 minutes to do it. I couldn’t believe we didn’t have the garbage can full by now. That’s okay though. At least we just have to put the bags out tomorrow.
After that I got into my pajamas and read some emails. A number of people are leaving the group that Angel has after she posted the explanation for asking JoAnne to stop posting about her husband and his battle with the cancer.
Mom got into her pajamas and watched TV. She went to bed around quarter of. I decided to watch the rest of CSI: NY. Now I am going to be. My shoulder is hurting a little and so are my hands.

October 16, 2007
Good Afternoon everyone it is almost 12:30 and I am at work. Doing what else? Opening the mail! I am still working on yesterday’s and I am not sure if I will have time to open the rest of today’s.
I am leaving around 3:15 for my appointment with Dr. Martin. I really should be printing out stuff from my Lupus Journal but I just haven’t had time.
Well it is a couple of minutes before 3. I did manage to print out the entries for the rest of July, August, and some of September.
I have gotten yesterday’s mail opened just need to sort it. I have to open today’s. I did get the patient correspondence opened and ready for joan to pick up.
Several hours have now passed. I have been to the Arthritis/Lupus Doctor and for all intensive purposes I am doing fine. He would like me to stay away from salt and get more exercise. Walking alone doesn’t do it. He also says that if the Ibuprofen alone doesn’t work he could give me the prednisone.
He says that at the time of my blood tests the DNA clearly said I had lupus (in layman’s terms I was having flare ups). My internal organs are not being affected as of right now. I had to go to my ophthalmologist to have them send the last eye exam to them.
I did tell him about what I thought were flakes in my eyes every so often. He told me I should have it checked. It could be detached retina which could be very dangerous or it could be something else.
After I stopped at the eye doctor I was close to Liz and Nelson’s so I dropped by but they were not home. They may have been on their trip to MA to visit with some friends. They should be back by Thursday.
I was home by 5. I got my dinner and was finished by 5:30. Mom came home shortly after that. She got into her pajamas and checked her emails. She tried to send me the pictures of the babies but my outlook blocked the attachments.
I went to Headquarters around 6:15. The sun had not set yet and there was some daylight left. I saw two deer along the side of the highway grazing on some of the grass near me. It was really cool. There were a couple of kids sitting outside and one of Sue’s friends at their car. I went inside and Sue and her other friend (the wife of the guy I saw outside) were getting chairs.
When we went into the backroom there were several piles of letters with envelopes that had to be folded. We started on it and more people arrived. There were 1700 letters that had to be mailed out. Kerri came and helped out too. She even ordered pizza and water for us. By 8 we were finished with the mailing and had the pizza. The young kids from different area high schools left.
Amy, Sue and I stayed and did some cleaning and ate some more of the pizza. It was almost 8:30 when I left. I walked by the BOE Candidates meeting and then to district 2 meeting and saw Lee Tamas. She is the former Registrar of Voters for Milford and a friend to many. She retired in August.
The drive home wasn’t too bad. I saw a rat run across the street in front of me and from what I could see of it-it was ugly.
Mom was in her office looking for some papers the Urologist wanted her to read up on (for a surgical procedure that Mom isn’t too thrilled about having). I am not sure what it would mean but Mom seems to think she doesn’t want to do it.
I took a bath and got into my pajamas and read some emails. One included from a group I recently joined and the moderators/owners posted a message in regards to people asking for prayers and stuff not related to pen paling.
Well the reason this was done because Joanne H from Canada is going through a really rough time with her husband’s health. She has been posting updates to all the lists she is on.
Anyway, I replied after someone else asked just what are we supposed to write about if we can not share things of that nature. My reply was I thought it was really rude that anyone would have the gall to even say that to someone who is asking for some support. I was disappointed and suggested that Decorum should have been a better part of valor.
Now before anyone says “what about the time”. That person I reprimanded was begging for us to actually buy her stuff and send it to her. That is clearly begging for stuff (toiletries, supplies) to be sent to her. That’s not what pen paling is about.
I suspect that I will be asked to leave or be banned from that particular list. That’s okay because I was invited to join another group tonight.
Well it is getting late and I have another long day ahead of me tomorrow.
Have a great night.

Today Whizzed on by
Wow today went by fast. I got up at 10 of 7 and had to rush around to get ready for work. I managed to leave the house at 7:30. I got to the garage at a decent hour and to the office on time.
Started the day off with making copies for Ann and then the charts came and did those. After that was done I started on readdress mail and then the lockbox. Some how I didn’t get it all done (of course the real reason was the fact I was online today).
At lunch time I went to the bank and on the way there ran into Lou from Gofor Courier Service. He thought I was crazy for walking from George Street to there. I told him I do it frequently.
After the bank I came back and started working on the charts and the rest of the mail. Some of us were able to get left over sandwiches. Marianne Dess-Santoro was there and I hope I didn’t make a fool of myself. I walked backwards right into Jocelyn while telling Marianne I am not supposed to be eating chips.
The sun was out for most of the afternoon but it was still chilly. I was pretty cold all day for that matter. I was glad to be going home when I did.
After work I went to the post office and got the money order for the phone bill and then came home. I did have a little incident I nearly drove into the other lane and some bitch beeped at me and got rude. I was really annoyed. I was really glad to be going home.
When I got home Mom was dressed for a meeting she was going to at 5. Our pork chop dinner was in the oven and I would be eating later on and she would eat when she got home.
While I was waiting for dinner I read Val Anna Sutherland’s letter. It is very cool. She is an actress/teacher and is married to a man 30 years older than she is (she is 52). She has been pen paling since she was 12.
I watched Charmed and had my dinner. Afterwards I got online for a bit and then back downstairs to watch Jurassic Park. Mom came home by 8. I had the kitchen cleared up by then.
I got a message via Mom from Emily today. I sent her a quick one and will get one to Jamie and Kristina soon. She is really cute. I guess Mom sent her an email and Emily was replying.
Well I have to get to bed. I have a long day tomorrow and I need my sleep.

I loved today
I am going to love today. I am not doing bingo today because I had already told them I would not be in town this weekend. That changed late last week so I didn’t want to change that.
I slept until 8 and then got up and got online and watched TV for a bit. I did some laundry and then went to church at 11:30.
Despite the fact I wasn’t feeling well mass went well. Even though there were two families around me that had kids continuously talking or crying. Usually I get aggravated but I couldn’t help but giggle when the little boy in front of me yelled out and Father Callahan included him by saying “but I just started”. I think the father of the little boy was going to kill the kid and the mother just wanted to sink to the floor.
I went straight home from Mass and watched TV for a while. I was watching POV the 49up. Apparently the writers or producers followed several people from the age of 7 to 49 years. Checking with them and seeing how their lives were and if anything changed with them.
Through out the day I watched TV and also got online. My g-mail was acting a little weird. It would take so long to post the email. I hope there is nothing wrong with it. I did try and empty some emails out. That’s probably what I need to do.
I head heard from my Australian pen pal Lyn N. Her computer crashed and hasn’t been able to email anyone. I told her I was just starting a letter to her.
Around 7 I stopped watching TV. I am so tired of watching it. I was watching the season 8 marathon of L&O SVU. It was good. It was the season Mariska H was out on Maternity Leave. Although on the show her character Benson was undercover. I recognized the actress who played Stabler’s partner. Actually I should say I knew I had seen the actress but couldn’t place her. She was the demon child of Al Pacino in Devil’s Advocate with Keanu Reeves.
Mom came home from Madison around 2. The little group of people she has been getting together with had brunch for the last time. One of the couples is moving to California at the end of the week.
She spent the afternoon mending some pants, and putting away her summer clothes. Now she is sitting down and watching TV.

The Birthday Party
It was a really wonderful day. Mom and I got up around 8 to get ready for the birthday party. While Mom had her coffee I ironed my jeans and showered and dressed. I even looked at the directions a second time to see if there would be a better way to get to their house. We stayed with the I-95 route.
We were the first ones there. Their home is near Fairfield University. It is considered “University Neighborhood”. Which means that either they work or attend the college in this neighborhood. I realize that may not be necessarily the truth but these homes were beautiful. Stephanie is a talented decorator. They have a finished basement that is used as the daycare. They have a beautiful living room, dining room, kitchen and an office and sun room they use spring and summer and the fall. They have a big backyard. There are 4 houses that surround the yard and you can actually see into their yards. Stephanie isn’t comfortable with that.
Audrey was standing at the door with her Dad Chris. Jason was in the bay window looking out. Adam and Nelson arrived at the same time we did. We started with coffee and doughnuts and we had a tour. Shortly everyone started to come. More children and they were members of the daycare and of course friends of theirs as well. The Heberts came too.
We sat outside and watched the children play and of course one of them was coughing so much he threw up. It got really chilly so we all went inside again. That was just about the time the pizza came.
After the pizza and the cake we headed home. We were near Bridgeport when we saw signs there was an accident close to the Stratford/Milford Border. It took us fifteen minutes to drive through it. It looked pretty bad. We were home 10 minutes later.
Mom went out shortly after we got home. She wanted to get some stuff at home depot. One of the things was the indoor cover for the AC in my bedroom. She also went to Talbot’s Outlet store. It was nearly 4:30 when she got back.
When she got back she got ready for the fundraiser at Bruce Barrett’s house and I just watched TV. I had a bowl of cereal which really didn’t fill me but I can do with out. I went over to see Sylvia.
Sylvia had a friend from the west coast come and stay with her and help her fix up some stuff around the house. He is a really nice guy. While he worked on the cellar she was raking up around the yard. We had a talk about “Maria”. Sylvia had dinner with her. I found that to be odd but what the hay. She was saying that Maria was moving because Tom and Don threatened her. My response was bullshit. Sylvia realized that Maria brought on all this shit herself. After a while I came home because Sylvia was getting tired and busy and I wanted to do some work here.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get very much done. As I said I watched TV and I watched a little of this week’s This Old House. I even went online to see the progress of the house. The kitchen is still going strong but I haven’t seen anything else yet.
I may try to get this Air Conditioner Cover on so I won’t freeze this winter. Last year the wind would come through the AC. We don’t have the cover for it outdoors because we have it up too high.
I best get going. See ya tomorrow.

Fabulous Friday
It was really chilly this morning more signs of things to come for the New Haven/Fairfield County. I don’t think it’s raining but when I talked with Liz she said it was very windy.
Liz has to work tomorrow so she won’t be at the kids’ party but she did give me a heads up that ex hubby ‘might’ be there. That’s not a problem. At the same time she also said he hasn’t been paying attention to the grandkids much.
She was telling me that Nelson has been finding things for them to do around the house (chores etc). It feels like he is still on vacation and not retirement. They are going up to MA early next week to visit friends
Well it is pretty quiet right now. I have everything done that possibly could be done and it is almost 3. Oh no. The mail downstairs in the lobby needs to be picked up. Oh it can be done first thing Monday. Everything else has been taken care of. I am just really tired.
I heard from Mardi last night. She still isn’t feeling well so we are going to get together some other time. When ever we get together it is always fun. Get well fast Mardi…
The sun came out this afternoon. It looks very pretty. I think I read it is like 61 degrees out. It is supposed to be in the 50’s over night. At least for New Haven in Milford it will be cloudy and windy. It should be clear from 10 pm until but in the 40’s and 50’s.
For the rest of the weekend it is going to be 60 degree weather with some clouds. I did see the rest of the next ten days but I can’t remember it.
Next week I think is supposed to be very busy for me. On Tuesday I see Dr. Martin. I will tell him about the weeks with pain and aches. Tuesday night I have to be back at Headquarters for the big mailing we will have. It will be at 6:30. On Wednesday is the 4th District meeting at the Headquarters. Friday I see Debra and then that night is the dinner and a movie at the Headquarters.
In between all that I will want to write some letters and do some cleaning. It will be a regular week. Well I better get ready to clean up.
Well I have been home from a wonderful dinner with my friends Mike and Roberta. We had dinner at the Outback on Marsh Hill Road in the Orange area. It is literally right off the highway. We talked about lots of things. Money, semi political stuff, and of course some of the club stuff. The food was good. Mike had the Ribs, I had fried shrimp and fries, and Roberta had salmon. We started off with the blooming onion. All of this will be repeated before the night is out I am sure. After Dinner Mike and Roberta went to their ballroom Dancing class they recently joined and I headed home.
I stopped at CardSmart to get birthday cards and Halloween Cards for the little ones in the family. There were some really cute ones there. I have the birthday cards ready for tomorrow. I got Jason a card that says he’s 3 years old and the other ones is for 1 year old and it looks like it could be for a girl.
I came home and had a problem getting in the door. It wouldn’t open. Some times this door doesn’t work right. It seemed like it locked me out. I was knocking on the door and ringing it and Mom couldn’t hear me. I called out to her and she couldn’t hear me either. I tried the back door no luck. I tried the front door it was fine. Mom was coming down the stairs at the same time. I am sure the entire neighborhood heard me.
I have another load of laundry in the wash right now. It’s got my jeans I am wearing tomorrow to the party. I still have to get a few sweaters out of the attic. It was really chilly out there tonight too.
I am starting to get a little sleepy. I took some Tums® a little bit ago. I also took my med. My wrists are hurting and I am starting to feel blah. I won’t do very much tonight.
I will see you all tomorrow.

October 11, 2007
Good Morning it is nearly 10 in the morning and I am at work. It was sort of a crazy start to the morning. The drive into New Haven was fine except for near the Garage. Once again no one would let me in so I had to drive all the way around on to George Street and come in to the garage from that way. There was this stupid blond woman who couldn’t get off her stupid phone to get herself into the garage. She was blocking traffic and she was blocking us from going into the garage. She nearly ran over Howard B (one of my team managers).
It was misting rain when I arrived at the office. As I walked in I noticed a woman holding an ice pack to her head. I am not sure what happened but I didn’t really ask anyone for I expected “none of your business”.
When I got into my office I started on the charts. I had gotten 15 charts to sort and deliver and it took me about 45 minutes to do it. Once that was done I came back and sorted the EOB’s from yesterday and Tuesday.
I also spent some time on the net. I checked some emails and the forums. Apparently there was a great Kevin Sorbo interview - Hercules - Andromeda and so I read it. It was very good and as it was mentioned some old stuff we knew and some that we didn’t. I also got an email from Sandi and she is doing pretty well. She shared an email with me that she received in regards to some problems she has been having with the fandom. I am hoping it will be resolved.
Last night was a pretty good night despite my feelings of anxiety. They were not strong but probably of feeling guilty because I haven’t been doing what I needed to do with the club.
The drive home was really slow. I did manage to get home before 4:30. I decided to sit down and watch TV. I had the remainder of the pasta I made on Saturday. I had a bowl of cereal and ate some sun dried tomatoes. After a while I went upstairs to work on the minutes.
I managed to revise the board meeting minutes and sent them out to the board. Then I wrote up the ones for the general meeting and they weren’t that good by Telka reviewed them before and after the meeting last night.
I had a few minutes before leaving for the meeting and I had mail to look over. One of them was the statement from the Credit Union. It didn’t reflect the recent deposit I sent in. That wasn’t a huge problem. I also had my car registration application and in big bold letters it says I will not be able to get it registered until I get my car emissions taken care of. I was frantic to say the least. I don’t know when I can get the time.
I also took a few minutes to reconcile my checking account and couldn’t do it in the time allotted so I had to do it later on when I got home. Thankfully it worked out.
The meeting went very well the Guest Speaker was Lorrie. She was a cancer survivor and single mother. She is continuing to have problems and most of her brain had to be operated on. She is the one who coordinated the Tip a Doctor and local restaurants in the Fairfield County. We also inducted a new girl’s club member. The meeting went pretty quickly after that. I stayed until 9:30 talking with Telka and reviewing the minutes from the previous meeting. She didn’t seem annoyed with me about it.
When I got home Mom was home. She was talking with Tessa M from DTC and they were discussing a whole bunch of things. I sat and watched the TV. I think it was L&O CI. When Mom finally got off the phone we talked about her day. She also mentioned that apparently I haven’t been flushing the toilet. This is absolute bullshit. I was obviously offended but I think I was just tired.
I spent the next two hours working on the computer. I went surfing on the net. I made a successful attempt at reconciling the bank statement and posted yesterday’s entry to another of the blogs.
Mom forgot to tell me that Donny asked us not to park in the driveway last night because he is getting another delivery of wood for the stove. I had to move my car.
I was in bed by midnight and slept until 6 this morning. It was a pretty good sleep too. When I finally did get up I put the garbage out and got ready for work.
I called Mom this morning. She is fine. She will be going to Mutual Housing Annual Meeting/Dinner and will be honored there. I am not sure what time she will be home probably 9.
My dinner plans with Roberta for tonight changed so I will be probably cleaning my room and getting ready for my weekend. We are going tomorrow.
Well got to get to work…..
Well I have managed to finish the MR list for tomorrow. The charts have been returned to this office and I am just waiting on the Courier to come pick them up in about 15 minutes to take them back to the hospital.
Mom sent out an email about pledges for the Bridges Walk-a-thon that is coming up. I am going to try and donate some thing to it. I will let her know later.
I decided to print out the directions to Chris and Stephanie’s house and to Mardi’s house for Saturday. They are just a half hour a way from my house and from their house to Mardi’s it’s another 1 ½ hours. I will be driving in unfamiliar area. I hope I don’t get lost. I sent an email to Mardi confirming our visit for Saturday.

Mid Week reflection
It is a wet and rainy Wednesday. It is close to lunch time and I have been working on yesterday’s lockbox. The ride into work was not unlike the ride home yesterday. There were a couple of tie ups on both sides of the highway. I managed to get here before 8 at the same time as Mike did with the charts. I called Mom to tell her about the traffic.
Mom should be in Newport Rhode Island by now for a meeting that she is attending. She has to give a report and then come home. She is expecting to be home by 7:30 tonight. I just hope the traffic won’t be as bad.
After I finished the charts I went to work on the collection letters to be mailed out. They were done by 9:30 or so. Since then I have been working on the mail. I should be finished with yesterday’s lockbox soon. I have the charts ordered for tomorrow. All that has to be done is the rest of the mail and the bad address.
I am really getting anxious right now. There are a couple of things I needed to do for both the DTC and the MYWC. I haven’t done either. I have the General Meeting tonight and we are going to be having our picture taken for an article in the Connecticut Post.
I have to have the info to Phil about getting the Elks club at a discount. I haven’t called Mike M and they are both going to kill me. I don’t know if I can do it tonight or not. I will try and call them this afternoon.
I am getting tired. It is almost 2 and I am still working on today’s lockbox. I have already done the bad addresses but I have been spending time on line. I should be finished with almost everything by 3. I still have readdress mail here.
Well I was able to make the labels for the readdress mail and will do them tomorrow. It seems like the IDX program is down and affecting everyone. I was having a problem shutting down and I was afraid that I would lose all the stuff I have already done. Luckily it seems to be okay.

Busy Busy
It has been a busy morning for me. I got to work a few minutes before 8 I picked up the mail from Customer Service and Registration then came back and started on the Medical Records. It didn’t really take long to deliver the three charts. I decided to start working on the bulk mail after checking emails and forums.
I haven’t even started on the Lock box mail that Arcenia brought me at 9. Then about 9:30 I was given some letters to fold. I got them folded but not all mailed. Now I am working on the Post Office mail.
In the afternoon I did bulk mail and then worked on the Bad Address project.
I left the office just at 4 pm. There was a cool wind coming through and it was cloudy. The side of my leg was hurting and so was my wrist. I walked to Debra’s office and knocked on her door. There was no answer. Debra came in about 10 minutes later.
We talked about the past week and weekend. She commented that I seem to be in a good space. That was a true statement. At the end of the session Debra and I rescheduled my appoint for next week to Friday. I paid her and headed to the garage.
I took the elevator to the 6th level and walked to the car. Well I walked to the wrong car. I forgot that I parked the car facing the other direction. That was pretty embarrassing. I got to the street and had no real problem getting out. When I got to the highway different story! It was backed up. I think it took me at least 15 minutes to get through West Haven.
Mom was home when I got home. She had just come home from her search committee meeting and it was successful. They found a new ED. She had the same traffic I did. She made our dinner and we had shortly after that. After dinner I freshened up and got on the computer for a bit until it was time for me to leave for the Headquarters.
When I got there members of the District 2 where manning the headquarters. Amy, her mother Sue, and their friend were doing post cards. The labels were already done. They had help earlier. They also got there around 6:30. Amy and I tried to find some thing for me to do. We were going to call Laura but Marsha couldn’t get a hold of Laura.
When Mike Brown came I asked him for help. I told him we looked for the phone banking material for the district but couldn’t find it. He suggested I tape up some of Susan Shaw’s signs. There were about six of them and that’s what I did. Mike brought them home when I finished. We all left around 8:15.
Amy asked me to come next week at 6:30 because there will be a big mailing going out and they will need lots of people. I told Mom that as well when I got home.
Mom asked me to try on a new bathrobe she bough for me. It is extra large and soft as can be. It fits wonderfully. We talked about things that went on at the headquarters. After a few minutes I let her get back to the report she was looking over.
Since I have been home I checked the forums and answered some emails. The whole religious discussion was continuing but was to be tabled until the results from a poll were in. It seems that most of the people are in consensus that if you don’t want to read it you must delete it.
Tomorrow will be another long day. I have to finish the lockbox from today then work on the lockbox from tomorrow. I am hoping it will be light. After that do the post office mail. The volume on that should be okay.
After work I need to come home and do those stupid minutes for the General Meeting. I also have to look half way decent because we are having our picture taken by a photographer for the Connecticut Post. We are having a guest speaker tomorrow as well.
I am starting to get really sleepy. I better say good night for now….

Columbus Day 2007
Good Morning and Happy Columbus Day. I am sure most if not all of you have off today. I am not one of them. It looks like today will be a slow day. I have already started the requisition list for Medical Records for tomorrow. I got the mail from the lobby and it is already distributed.
The weather here is overcast and a bit chilly (at least for me) I drove by the New Haven Register and their Temperature monitor read 68 degrees.
Well it is quarter of two and it is pretty quiet around here. The sun came out after all after a shower. I have heard some say it is about 70 degrees. I am not sure I will find out until I leave at the end of the day.
I had a few things to do. Right now I am stuffing envelopes for the collection department that will go out tomorrow. I have been working on the bulk mail as well. I am not sure if I will get that done today or not. Well I have a lot more to do more it is at a manageable size. I can do those tomorrow.
Well it is 20 of 4 and I will be leaving soon. I am either very tired or very bored. I want to go to sleep but I can’t until I do some work tonight.
I called Roberta to change our date for dinner from tomorrow to Thursday. I forgot that I see Debra at 4:15 and I don’t get out until 5:15. That would not allow us much time before I had to go to the Headquarters to work. I just have to pick a place. I can’t think of any. Oh what about Gusto’s Restaurant? Nope. The Outback Restaurant could be possibility.
Well I am heading to Staples after work. I need to get a 2008 appointment book. Mom offered a whole bunch but I don’t like them. I need a lot of room to write in these things. Of course it would help if remembered to write in them.
It is almost 9:30 and it is so hot. I have heavy pajamas on and I have been sweating all night. It has been a quiet night really. We had dinner at 5 and watched the news and it was really full of depressing news it seemed. One of the stories was the Deputy Sheriff killing people out in Wisconsin. That was just awful.
I have been online and also watching TV. I watched the various L&O mini marathons. I did some channel surfing. There isn’t anything that I would want to keep watching. I have been updating a few of the calendars.
I think I am going to go to bed and get some sleep. I have no idea what tomorrow will bring.

October 7, 2007
Well it is nearly 12:30 in the morning and I am still up. I was checking emails and the various forums and there isn’t anything earth shattering again. I always seem to miss the explosions and get the tail end of things.
I am going to go to bed now though. I want to be awake and aware while doing bingo. When I don’t get enough sleep I get really cranky.
Well I finally got some sleep and slept until 6:30 or so. I stayed in bed until 7. I decided that I would head to the gas station and get the gas so I would not get stuck some where.
I took a bath and got dressed and went to gas up the car and came back for breakfast. It was really cool that there were no lines at the gas pump. I was back at the house having breakfast by nine.
I left shortly after that for the nursing home. Virgie was there and she was going to do an activity at 10:30. We set up the coffee (one of the pots was dangerously close to getting broken) and the bingo stuff. We actually started on time. We finished by 5 of 11.
After bingo I went to Sears to pick up the gift cards. It didn’t take long and I was glad. As I was leaving two police cars came driving up. I noticed something going on but didn’t think much of it until I left.
I drove home and started to do a whole bunch of things. I worked on the birthday list for the next couple of hours. I spent some time watching TV. I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. Finish cleaning my room or the minutes.
Mom came home around 1. Lorraine and her husband made a pit stop before taking off. I got a chance to say hello and goodbye to Ann. Mom had been outside saying goodbye to her. We got an invitation to attend Ann’s 90th Birthday party. It is sometime soon. It will probably be in NJ.
After the Kramer’s and Ann had left for NJ Mom unpacked and got settled back in to home life. She unpacked, we talked about the weekend. She was truly impressed with the weekend. There were lots of people and lots of food. The service was wonderful. After a while she got into her mail, reading the newspaper and paying some bills. Her stomach was feeling squirrely.
I went back to my birthday list project and watched TV too. Around 4 or 5 I finally got the minutes for the board meeting done. I didn’t get a chance to do the gene4ral meeting but I can do that later.
Around 5 while Mom read the paper I had my dinner and we watched the new episode of TOH. After I finished eating and watching the program I called Roberta.
I called Roberta to see if she needed a ride and she offered me a ride to the meeting. She picked me up about quarter of 7. We talked about life, work, and bills. She signed up for Ballroom Dancing with Mike and they start this Wednesday. She reminded me to be sure to make the payment on the card.
We got to the meeting a little late traffic was slow in some areas. Everyone was there except Jolyn and the girls from the girls club. The meeting went by very quickly and we talked about the upcoming fundraisers and activities for the fall. I also found out I will be babysitting Junior in Mid November. After the meeting and the girls left the three of us talked about the group MOM. They still haven’t cashed the other check yet. They had a deadline. These people are really going to piss me off. How dare they mess up our books out of some petty crap! We also talked about life and politics.
We left shortly around 9 and headed back here. Roberta and I made tentative plans for dinner on Tuesday. Oh I have to tell Mom. I can do that tomorrow. I have already said good night to her at least twice.
Mom was watching her regular PBS fare and I decided to come up here and check emails and forums. There isn’t much going on.
Well I think I am heading to bed. I have taken my meds (my hands are a little achy and so does my legs too). My stomach was acting very strange twice this afternoon. Two times I had pain in the side of my stomach as though they were gas or something. I had hard time breathing. I have also taken some of that night time med too I was sneezing again and I think I am getting the cold again.
