Dear Friends

July 31, 2013

Dear Friends:

It is mid-week and we are heading down towards the first weekend of August.  Today is my Dad’s 86th Birthday .  Sadly he isn’t with us anymore but I think of him quite often.  Sometimes more than others especially now that Mom’s health is not the best.

Something I forgot to mention that has me puzzled and I am not sure I am pleased about it.  My Sister-in-Law scheduled a memorial mass for my brother to be said on August 10th.   At first she had it for 7:30 in the morning then she moved it to later that day.  She asked Liz to help out and she either asked Mom or told Mom there would be a gathering here.  As in our house.  Now Liz can’t make it or at least I don’t think she is going to because of her grandson Bryan’s Birthday party is the same day.  MY SIL isn’t going to be in town either.  She is flying out to CA the day before to be with Diane my niece  who is performing in “The King and I”.

I feel this is a great imposition to Mom and Me as we were invited to Bryan’s Birthday party.  We have been invited every year for the last 15 years.  I also think Ethel should have scheduled it for another day when she could be in town.  I haven’t expressed my displeasure to Mom because she will brush it off or dismiss it.

Jim is coming up Monday and will have Kristina and James with him.  I am not sure how long they will be here for but I am guessing not long.  Kristina works on Weekends and has Monday off so it will be very nice to see her and of course its always cool to see young James.  My hope is we should have no problems (Knock on wood).

Work was okay.  I had a lot to do and was really close to getting it all done but I think I “sneezed” and had more than I thought I would.  I can finish the rest of today’s mail tomorrow and get as much as I can done before I leave work at 3 for my dentist appointment.

I had a nice ride home even though the traffic was slow.  Lots of things going on elsewhere on the highways of CT.  The street was quiet from the construction work so I had no problem getting in or out when I headed to the farmers market at Treats farm.

Mom wanted some corn and asparagus so I went and picked up the corn but couldn’t get the asparagus.  We had with dinner it was delicious along with the pork and rice dish.  We had to eat late because Liz had stopped by to pick up things and I imagine chat about the upcoming gathering.

Most of the garbage is out front for the morning pick up but there is more to be thrown out so I better get to it and then go to bed...

See you in the morning.

Dear Friends

July 30, 2013

Dear Friends,

What an absolutely beautiful morning it was  I woke up early even though I think I woken up several times during the night.  I managed to get a few things done and get online for a short time.

The daily commute into new haven wasn’t bad either.  I got to the office at a decent hour and got right to work.  THere was stuff from the afternoon mail pile that I wanted my manager to get.  I worked on the pile and then got the lobby mail.  That was about the same time I got lockbox so that had to wait..

I came across a new blog today about books.  It sounds like a book review blog from a young lady.  She is from MN?  I think anyway it came at perfect time considering I have been trying to get the gumption to start reading Watership Down again.  I brought it with me to do the iron infusion session today.  I had a hard time staying with the book the last time but I am determined to read it to the end.

I got a lot done just have to finish opening the lockbox mail. when I get in tomorrow.  Happily it all came early enough though..  LUckily I don’t have anyway to go tomorrow so i should have my desk cleared off by then.

I stopped at McDonalds on the way to the Infusion today.  I was hungry and didn’t eat much today.  I had the nuggets and juice.  i checked with the doctor’s office and they said it would be fine.  I ate most of them before and finished them when I got back in the car around 3.

The infusion was easy peasy after seeing the doctor (why I don’t really know) and he asked me what was on my face.  I told him probably the lupus rash.  He acted ike he had no idea what I was saying..  So he took me to the infusion room and they set me up and I sat there for 30 minutes.  I tried to read the book I have and I didn’t get far.  I dozed a little and chatted with the other patients.  My next infusion is Monday August 5.

I had no trouble getting home until i reached the street.  It seems my street was very busy.  The water company was out doing work along side the guys.  I was able to get in and park the car with no problem.  Mom was sitting out back and told me we don’t have any water.   something happened (ya think).  She wanted to do stuff (go to the store) but was told it would be an hour

We did plan on having dinner and just have pork sandwiches.  I wanted it to be easy peasy.  Mom didn’t like it as much I thought they were fine.

Jim called just as we're sitting down.  so I went on ahead and Mom came after.  She told him that Ethel rescheduled the memorial Mass for Bob to 4:30 on August 10.  Then she is having everyone come to our house.  Now here is the kicker...she will be in CA.  She is leaving the day before.  She says Liz is going to help out.  My feelings?  Um not cool.
Mom also tells me there is a birthday party for Bryan M.  Mom was asking me about the invitation.  We never got one.  She has it written down on her calendars.  I am adding it to mine now.

I am starting to fall asleep here so I think its time for me to hit the sack...

Have a great night.

Dear Friends

July  29, 2013

Dear Friends:

I can’t believe  there is just  two days left of the month of July.  For as long as i can remember I have always noticed how time has flown by quickly.   But  now it seems to be going even faster for me and at times a little scary.   I keep remembering how my late Grandmother would  be amazed how quickly time would pass and now I see Mom doing it too.

The  scary part also is I have something to do almost every weekend or every day in  August and pretty much in September.  I have a ton of birthdays coming up and I have already missed a whole bunch near the end of this month.

The  commute to work wasn’t bad at all.  The Q-Bridge project had finished for the weekend and seemed to make things better.    I  know that  Janetn had some unexpected problems coming in from Wallingford over the weekend but  that was it.

Work went fine.  I spent the morning working on the readdress mail until  both the lockbox and the  PO mail came  at the same time.  The volume was not that surprisingly low.  Monday’s usually are these days unless there  was a holiday or I had the previous days off.

I was  trying so hard to not eat a lot of stuff.  I even had two Ensure’s   I had them within an hour after I arrived at work.  Then I had a cheese danish and toast w/coffee.  I decided to not have lunch because I knew we were having the roast pork tonight for dinner.

Everyone came in from the ir breaks saying how beautiful it was I  didn’t go out until it was time to go home.    I was asked to do some door knocking for Evettte Hamilton who is  running for alderman in New Haven but I wasn’t sure I could do it.  Being I am from Milford and I wasn’t sure if M&T were serious about advising me  not to do stuff for New Haven.  I think Evette will continue to do well for her Ward and I would like to help her as much as possible.

I sent them both emails and they said I could do whatever I wanted for the union and “the machine in New Haven.  Its not the same in Milford.  We don’t have the same networks per se.  As it is  our own candidates need help as well.  Mom and I have both volunteered to help drive people around when we can.

It was great to come home at 4:30.  I had to stop at the Pharmacy to pick up some facial astringent because I ran out.  I bought two of Neutrogena  Clear pore just to compare with the others.  The raised bumps are probably from the Lupus rash.

Mom was  outside when I  stopped to talk with Sylvia but was inside by the time I got into the driveway.  She had been scratched by thorns on the rose bush and was cleaning up.    It would be a while before dinner so I relaxed between the TV and online stuff.

I probobly could get some stuff done but I don’t wanna! :)

I will check in later before going to bed.....

Dear Friends

July 28, 2013

Dear Friends!

Hope your Sunday was a good one.  Wow another weekend is coming to a close!

I woke up this morning later than I usually do for Sundays.  I posted the previous “letter” this morning and then I got ready for bingo.  I stopped long enough to talk with Mom and to deliver our paper to the neighbors (we give the neighbors our papers when we finish with them).  After chatting with them I headed to the Nursing home.

It was sometime after 9:30 when I got to the nursing home.   As always a few of the residents were there in their spots to begin bingo (we always try to start at 10:15) so I chatted with them and then got the bingo stuff set up.  I popped into the kitchen to say hi to the folks in there and came back and Angela returned from her rounds on the floor.  We had some time to chat about things.  The family, health, and work were among some of the topics.  I went and picked up Fred from his room so he could play until he went to church.

We had fun and probably about 12 people playing.  Helen came in and distributed communion for those of us who wanted it and thankfully Maria helped with cleaning up with me.

I made my usual stop to talk with Claudia (the receptionist) about the latest activities with her house and of course online fandom’s.  I realized I was making myself late so I said goodbye and headed to church.

By the time I got to church I had missed the beginning prayers and the first Reading.  I sat in the side room off the alter.  There was a missionary from South Africa who spoke at all the masses this weekend.  He was very nice but it began to get too political.  Mass ended later than usual but that’s okay.  After Mass I headed over to Liz and Nelson’s.

Mom wanted me to give Liz the Big exercise Ball that’s been in the attic for the kids to use.  So I dropped it off to them.  Nelson was cooking because the kids were heading over there.  Liz was chatting with one of her friends.  After the friend left we talked about the “will” and about things in general.  She said she will not contest the will but she wished Mom had included other family members in the will.    She reminded me that despite what Mom may or may not think I am not broken.

The Kids arrived shortly after that and we had “brunch”.  Pork Chops and rice and beans.  I stayed for that but left after I finished.  I had missed Nelson the 3rd and Ms Olivia but I will see them the next time.

It started to rain a little on the way home.  It was more of a light rain and didn’t last long.  I was expecting more but it yet again a little disappointed.  You would think with all the rain from last week I would be happy.  Nah!

Do you know it was nearly 2 when I got home?  Mom spent time weeding out some old papers and looking at the cellar.  We both looked at it (I thought I could help her clear out more stuff but she didn’t know what to do first).

Late in the afternoon we were invited to M&T’s home for steaks on the grill.  It was a little after 6 when we got there.  We had some appetizers then steaks, and cuscus and Tomato and onions.  The steaks were huge.  The food was delicious and the views on to Long Island Sound were so peaceful.  The rain clouds moved in but very little rain.  The sky was lovely.  We moved into the living room and were entertained by stories of Mike & Tessa’s trips to Mexico for their work many years ago.  We left their house around 10.

On the way home Mom noticed a deer in the front yard of neighboring house.  It was so huge and surprising.  Well surprising for us even though they are almost an every day occurrence around the area.

Now that we have been home a half hour I am going to answer some emails and then get ready for bed.  It’s a little warm in the room so I have the fan going but its not that cool yet that I am comfortable.

Have a great night and I will see you in the morning…

Dear Friends

it’s a few minutes before midnight and it is quiet here.  Mom has been in bed for nearly 2 hours.  I Have been home from the games since maybe around 8.  I have been multitasking heavily between the TV (watching things like the Dr. Who programs on BBC America) and the computer (visiting the forums and blogs).

M&R picked me up a little after 2 and a very short time later we were at Gary and Carol’s house we were the last of the group to arrive.  Once we were all in side we emptied our bags with our contributions and then we sat down and began to eat.  We ate about an hour and half and then started the thirteen rounds of the game.  We had the pleasure of Stan’s Daughter Michelle (?) with us and she was lovely.  She caught on quickly on how to play the game.

Of course I had a lot of stuff and even though I promised in this entry I would be careful-I flopped but haven’t had the aches and pains that I would be expecting.

Sadly I was told that M&R’s daughter and SIL are in the process of divorcing after five years.  I am afraid I didn’t take it well.   I didn’t get angry but I cried.  Miriam is a wonderful girl and what I heard last night was terrible.

Well its time for me to go to bed…have a great night.

Dear Friends

I am sorry I didn’t write yesterday but I had a very busy day.  The morning started off good even though this happened. It happened a few times and some are even more concerned than I am.  Work went really well I finished almost everything.  I have the postage tallies to do first thing Monday.  We said goodbye to Sandy in the afternoon and that’s about when my activity level dropped.

Mom spent most of the day cleaning the cellar.  She was just starting to cook dinner when I got home while she cooked I relaxed and took a nap.  It wasn’t very long as she called me for dinner around 5:30 or so.

Dinner was quite simple.  Fish filets and eggplant parm.  Mom was disappointed in the eggplant but as usual I wasn’t.  Unfortunately  I have discovered that anytime I have tomato sauce of some kind my face breaks out.  Last night wasn’t any different. . I think it was the lupus too.  It seems to have subsided for now.

I made the German Coleslaw for today’s Mexican Train game meal (we are having buffet style supper/lunch).  It wasn’t a smooth as the first time Mom and I worked on partly because we were both tired and achy.

By the time I went to bed the aches and pains had subsided and i had a good sleep.

Today as I mentioned is the Mexican Train Game with the gang.  We are going to be playing the game at Carol and Gary’s house and having picnic style sandwiches and salad.  During this time we will talk about current events, and future dates of the games.  We also have a few other activities that we have been included on and it will be really fun to do them.  The games usually end by 7.

I asked Mom what she was going to do today (she got up a little while ago and is reading her paper and waking up) and her standard answer is ‘more of what I what I did yesterday’.  She is going to take stuff she has in her car to the dump or something.  I am hoping she doesn’t over do it.

Well I have some stuff to do so I am going to close out for now.

Dear Friends

July 25, 2013

Dear Friends,

I overslept again.  I actually woke up around my normal time and hit the invisible snooze button.  Big mistake.  I was running around trying to get out by 7:30.  Mom got up just as I was leaving.  She didn’t get her paper either.

I was a little late and ran into my administrators within minutes of each other.  OF course I worried I would be in trouble..everyone said not to worry so I didn’t.  I had to make a run to IT to pick up a box of reports and it was slightly heavy but I am beginning to think that until I stop having aches and pains regularly someone else is going to have to pick it up.

Work was good.  I got everything done and worked on more of the re-address mail before leaving for the day.  Congratulatory cards went around Sandy’s retirement party/last day.  They were really funny.

When I left for my Dr. Appointment I noticed the traffic going North.  I was thankful I was going the opposite direction.  There were a few times I thought I was going to be extremely early but I managed to get there at least 15 minutes before my appointment.  I filled out the new docs and then was “triaged” then I met the new doctor.  She is nice  She asked me questions, she checked me out and hwen she asked me to look up to the ceiling I had a major dizzy spell.  I made her stand very close to me.  I thought for sure I would fall off the examining table.  She did say that LUpus does cause dizziness and that if it continues to see an ENT. I told her to expect my latest blood work in the next few days.  We discussed having x-rays for the knees.  She said I could do it closer to our next appointment.  I think I am going to like her.

Despite my liking her I wasn’t really feeling great.  I just was very slow getting home and decided that I didn’t want to eat anything.  That dizzy spell or vertigo (she also suggested it might be that) really had me spooked and not really ready to eat or go out.

When I got home Mom was upstairs at her computer and she was surprised to see me home earlier than we both thought.  We talked about the appointment I told her about my dizzy spell. I told her I wasn’t up to eating much of anything yet.  She had planned macaroni and cheese or fish filets.  I opted for toast and corn.

I was going to relax and watch TV before I did much of anything but there was stuff on I didn’t want to watch or I watched 100x.  I was also freezing.  I burrowed under my blanket in my room for a while and then felt better.  Mom had her dinner and got ready for the meeting.

I put the TV back while eating dinner and stuff and just channel surfed until Mom came home.  She is already in her pajamas and listening to a phone message from Aunt Rosemary.  it sounds like she was just checking up with Mom.  I am not sure if Liz told her or Mom told her of Mom’s Health status.

Finally did anyone notice the back to school ads showing up this past month?  i think the first few were Walmart or KMart today I have seen Office Depot already.  I know a few go back in two weeks (James is one) and others closer to Labor Day.   I can’t believe this!

Well I am going to bed.  I am tired and need to get up in the morning.

Dear Friends

it was a beautiful start to the morning weather wise.  Everyone in our area was talking about the storm that came through yesterday.  Some liked the lightening bolts others didn’t.  For some the storm lasted a short time others it was  a bit longer.

I have to admit I have had a couple of those dizzy spells again.  There were two last night that I mentioned and one this morning.  Its starting to concern me even more.  Could it be I am going through the change or is it more?  I am thinking the lupus.  I also had my aches and pains and both shoulders were not easy to sleep on last night.

I was so aggravated with myself last night.  There were two pieces of blueberry pie left and I dropping and leaving a trail.  Everywhere you looked there was blueberry spots.  I don't know if Mom saw it last night but I made sure I cleaned it before leaving this morning.

It looks like I wasn’t the only one not feeling well.  When I spoke to Mom this morning she told me she got sick from the food she had while out with the Knitwits yesterday.  So she is keeping it low key.  When I called Liz and Nelson Liz was still in bed sleeping she wasn’t feeling well either.  I think this Family reunion took a lot out of her.

Late in the afternoon I decided to forgo the Union Meeting and activities following for going home.  I wasn’t feeling like doing anything...I was sure to tell Susan so she knows what’s up.  I called Mom to let her know to expect me earlier and not worry about dinner.

When i got home Mom was just getting ready to leave for the meeting.  She gave me instructions about the garbage and will remember it later.  I spent the time watching TV and making ice cream my dinner.

I am going to do some laundry for now.  I hope you have a great evening...

Dear Friends:

We finally got rain last night and this morning. It was nice all day until about the time I left.  Clouds rolled in and it started to rain and thunder and lightening.   it is cloudy now and I did hear a few rumbles of thunder.  Right now its mostly cloudy we may get more but the temperature is right nice.  The weather forecast for the week is supposed to be nice all week until Sunday when the humidity comes back.

I was glad to get some sleep even though my leg hurt like crazy.  It was very hot(the leg) and I am not sure what it was.  I took Tylenol or or whatever it is but this morning it still hurt to bend them or lift them.  Again it could be the lupus or the humidity affecting them.

Work went well.  It seemed like high volume lockbox but not as much for the PO or lobby!  I worked on it until 3:30.  I was able to meet most of my goals for the work day.  My friend Jill returned from her bereavement leave.  She says today is a little difficult.  I asked Susan if it would be okay to stay and work on re-address mail while waiting for my appointment time with Debra she said yes.

The session with DEbra and BB went very well,  He reiterated what he would be doing and not doing and wanted permission to be on contact with Debra so they both can guide me when the time comes.  I was completely fine with this.

Mom was sitting in the back watching the news when I got home.  She had pot roast cooking in the oven and noodles starting to cook.  We ate after 6:30  We won’t be having dinner together tomorrow because she has to be at Bridges for a meeting and I will at a union meeting and rally with dinner time.

Oh I finished the Nock Nock Blog a couple of days ago.  It was really good.  They ended it as their journey ended in Prince George BC.  It was very enjoyable to read and I hope to one day go there myself.  Now I am going to check out other blogs of that area and see what others thought.

I haven’t done very much of anything else tonight.  I watched TV and have been surfing the net.  I laid across the bed and of course for just under five minutes the room spun.  I will mention this in the health blog.

I am also going to be posting in my NCIS blogs too.  I haven’t done it since the storm unleashed itself.  Then again I may not do it tonight.

Oh more and more pictures are coming out from the family reunion.  Liz sent me a lot through google plus and then through another picture place.

Well have a great night..

Dear Friends

JUly 22, 2013

Dear Friends,

Today was busy hectic.  I got a lot done including the mail from the weekend.  I was multi-tasking all away around and got it all done by late in the day.  This allowed me to work on the re-address mail as well.  It’s the beginning of month end this week.

The weather was around low 80’s here and at work.  THere is a coastal flood warning starting at 10 tonight.   I hadn’t been out in it until I had my Doctor’s appointment.  It was actually quite lovely.  It started to cloud up by the time I got to MIlford and hasn’t changed.  I am just waiting for the sky to open up and pour but don’t think that’s really going to happen until later.  The rest of the week is supposed to be in the 80’s but cloudy and maybe one or two thunderstorms.

My appointment with the Hematologist was fine.  Blood clot continues to be gone but my borderline anemia is a concern. HE wants to me to get iron infusions for five weeks.  THey will check with the insurance company and call me.  He also says I can start to take B-12 vitamins.  I was surprised that when they took the blood it was a lot on the “bandaid”.  I wonder if it is the tylenol I have been taking?  I just had to take more because the leg is hurting a little too.

I called the dentist back and the tops of the implants are going to be in on July 30 or 31st and they want to put them in on August 1st at 3:30.  I put it on my phone calendar and I will put it on the calendars on the online.  I will have to put that in for PTO tomorrow as well.

When I got home today Mom was watching TV while the pork chops were cooking along with the vegetables.  I spent some time watching TV and then we ate.  We watched the news and heard about an amber alert that happened in New Haven and into Bridgeport ending.  The mother and daughter are fine but the father who kidnapped them is in custody.  Actually so is the mother. I am not sure what will become of her.

MOm asked me to look for emails that included the names of our West Haven cousins.  She was under the mistaken impression that Liz didn’t invite them to the reunion and she was afraid they would be hurt.  I found the email that had their names in the list of emails.  She felt better.

I have another long day tomorrow so I am going to crash for the night.  I will see you later.

Dear Friends

July 21, 2013

Dear Friends<

Good evening!  I hope your Sunday night is going well!  Mine is for the most part quiet.  It is absolutely a beautiful evening and its just after 7:30.  IT is about 78 degrees here in Milford with just a light breeze.

My nephew Rich came over to drop off the chairs and table they borrowed for the reunion yesterday.  He wouldn’t let lift or do anything (the guy is so sweet) and we talked about  how much fun we had and just what they were doing today.  It prompted me to send the email when  we were done chatting.

When Mom came home things were infinitely better.  I told her that Rich came by and dropped of the tables and chairs and that our Friend TM called to see if it would be a good time to get together for the M&G prep meeting.

While the first couple of loads were going I was hanging out and then M&T came by and  they went over the invite list (who would be invited  which is almost everyone from the city) and what the flyer will look like and it is going to be great.  The Meet and Greet is usually in October but we decided to have it at the end of September this year.

After they left I had a bowl of cereal and Mom did some puttering around and then had her dinner.  While I was eating I got hit with Diarrhea so I had to shower, change and throw the stuff in the wash.   I am alright now and hopefully it won’t happen again tonight.  Mom asked me  to review my food intake.  I suspect some of it was from Friday night and most of yesterday.

I have also been splitting my time between surfing the net and watching TV.  You are not going to believe what I did today.  I rejoined  Tumblr.com   I actually couldn’t remember my password so I changed it and now made a brief post.  It was to the fans on  Tumblr going embarrassingly crazy over the actress CDP’s recent confirmation of leaving the NCIS show.    This is the link.  I did it mainly to see for myself how nuts cuckoo these people are and how they are really embarrassing the rest of the fandom.

I talked with Jim tonight.  He had called me to see if I emailed  Mr. BB about the session w/Debra.  I had been trying like three times and each time it bounced back.  Mom pointed out that I was leaving out a letter.  I finally did it right once I got off the phone with Jim.  Anyway we talked about health, Ms Princess Kitty (his cat) and the reunion.  It was a great talk.  We were both getting tired though so we hung up.  We both didn’t sleep well last night.

Did I tell you this week is going to be very busy this week?  I have some thing to do immediately after work every day.  I don’t think I will be able to do much OT .

Well I am going to go and  watch more TV before going to bed….Have a great night.

Kate.

Dear Friends

Dear Friends,

Halleluiah the humidity is gone! It is just about low 74 and cool.  The weather forecast is for mostly clouds for today but as Mom says its much better than the 90 to 100 degree’s we had earlier in the week.

The Family reunion was a huge success.  I took Mom with me to Liz’s house (that was a bit stressful but passed quickly) around 1.   Many of my cousins were already there and catching up.  I got to see my Cousin Lee whom I haven’t seen since his father’s funeral several years ago.

Here are a couple of group photo’s that my cousin Marianne posted to her Facebook that I swiped!  As I mentioned in my Journal list check in I never seem t bring cameras or take pictures.

Most of us stayed inside during the reunion and occasionally went outside.  Liz put on the family video she made months ago.

The food was delicious and of course I ate a lot of it.  It caused me a few problems at the end of the night (aches and pains).  The desserts were delicious too.

Jim and the kids left around 5 or so to get packed for the trip home Mom went with them and I stayed behind.  Many of my cousins ended up leaving before 6 but it was still fun.  When I left I took  Lee back to the train station.  Something tells me he won’t want me to take him (I nearly went the wrong way).

Mom was watching TV when I got home and it was nearly 7:30.  I spent the rest of the night surfing the net and watching TV.

Mom went to bed early (like before 9).   I sent a few text messages to Jim to check on his progress and they were just getting to the houses around 10.  After hanging up I went to bed.

I had a hard time sleeping because my arms and legs were achy from what I am suspecting the foods that had salt.  I am still feeling achy and I must have pulled a muscle during the night it flared during bingo.

Bingo was great.  Robin was there unexpectedly and was only going to be there until 12:30.  She helped get the residents while I served or sat and chatted.  WE had 15 players and this time only a few people won.

Because we had started bingo early we were able to finish rather on time and I was on my way to church on time.  As I told Mom this afternoon the mass seemed to move along quickly and was finished earlier than normal (it also helped that I left right as I received communion-definitely not good.

I came home had lunch and was getting annoyed with Mom because I had to repeat myself with her because she couldn’t hear me and the way we get frustrated with each other is just getting old.

So for now she is off shopping and I am going to start the laundry.

Dear Friends

July 20, 2013

Dear Friends,

I hope you are all well.  I just have been updating and posting the previous entry and my computer crashed and rebooted.  You can read about it in my Computer blog.  I have yet to read the entire thing but basically says I need to update stuff and run virus scan.  This happened one other time about a month ago.  I told Mom about it and she said when she overloads her computer she has to reboot.  I told her it doesn’t always work that way for every computer.  I will have to do it later though.

There is a huge difference in the temperature from yesterday.  Its already 80 degrees but not as humid.  The sun came out for a short time but disappeared behind the clouds again.  Pray the thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon wait until late in the day.

This morning I have to run some errands and get my hair done and head over to the   reunion.  I am planning on wearing jeans and a top.  I may have to resort to t-shirts as the men folk are still sleeping in the guest room.

Mom has been up awhile and so have I.  I helped with the dishwasher and then had coffee and finished the entry for yesterday.  Mom is making breakfast as usual.  I don’t think I want it for myself.

Well I best get going have a great day…

Dear Friends

July 19, 2013

Dear Friends:

Greetings from a much cooler Milford.  It is about 82 degrees right now but there seems to be less humidity.  The temperatures reached Low to mid 90’s earlier today.  We are supposed to get thunderstorms mid day tomorrow (around 2) but now I am hoping it won’t be so bad or will wait until we get home from the reunion.

I had a very busy day today.  I worked until 12 and then came home for the meeting with the attorney’s.  Traffic was just really heavy and slow.  Liz was here when I got home and she and Mom were doing last minute things before the attorney’s came.

The meeting was pretty good.  Mr. BB took me aside first to let me know that this is about what’s best for me that he will be here for guidance.  When it was time for us to sit down we talked about exactly what they will be doing and what will be next.  Mr. JM just go with it until it actually happens.  They did say what would happen if they couldn’t do the jobs and under what conditions they would be removed.  But they stressed they were here and do their jobs for me.  So who knows what that will bring.

I had very little time to get back to NH for my session with Debra.  Unfortunately it took longer than I expected.  I thought for sure even though I had seen the traffic jam I would get there in plenty of time.    Our session didn’t get going until 3.

We talked about the meeting and I did let her know that MR. B is interested in meeting with both of us.     We talked about the last ten days (she had just gotten the mail that day with my check so she didn’t have a chance to read it all).  I still have the rest of entries for her to read as well.  We really didn’t get into a lot of issues.  The Session flew by.  Our next session will be the 23rd and then she will be off for two weeks again for the summer.  IT was nearly four when I was heading home.  Traffic was still slow.  I called home and told Mom I was on my way.  She told me Jim and the kids were there.

When I arrived they were out back talking.  So I spend time chatting with them.  Careful not be so expressive with my hands and arms.  Mom noticed it then and earlier during the meeting.  After awhile I had to get ready for the dinner.

While I got ready I chatted briefly with the kids while they watched TV and then I took off.   Mom and they were going out to dinner.  When I left it was Jimmie’s Restaurant in West Haven.  When I got back it had been Bertuccis’s.

I was only a few minutes late for the dinner.  It was family style instead of buffet not sure if that was a problem but we had fun.  I sat with many of my co-workers.  We had fun.  Susan R made it to the party as well and went around taking pictures.  I asked her about her ride in (she had today off) and she agreed it was  awful.

The dinner was absolutely delicious (when have I ever been disappointed?) It was roast beef and chicken parm and ziti and  ended with a lovely Italian cake.  Gifts and roasting of Sandy was the cap of the night.  I have to admit I wasn’t feeling well by the  end so I was anxious to get home.  My feet agreed.

When I got home Mom and Jim were in the back chatting and watching the SVU marathon on USA.  The kids were upstairs watching TV in the coolest room in the house for most of us.  I got out  changed and spent time with Emily and it was fun.  I really love times like this.

Now I am going to bed…it will be a full day tomorrow.

Last Day of Vacation

Considering that today is my last day of vacation.   I am going to make sure things that were not done (housework mostly) are done...
