I was very successful in getting the babes into their crates with
little or no problems. Although I had
the collapsible one for Sky and he fell over and hit the coffee table. So I stayed with him for a few minutes. He had been vocal. All the while Tiger saw this. She started to get away and instead of
grabbing her first I got the feces sample. When I went to get her she was sniffing and
standing with Sky. She then headed to
the stairs I kept calm (yay me) and then got some food she almost took it and
then headed to the bedroom. I got her
when she hopped on the bed and carried her down to the shower stall. Again yay me I just remained calm and held
her then I closed the door and opened the shower door again put her in for a
few minutes and then into the carrier. She
tried getting out. I hope this one doesn’t
open so easily. She hasn’t been as vocal
as Sky.
I had many concerns this morning such as will I be able to carry
both out to the car without either of them getting dropped or the other comes
apart. Luckily I was. Will I have problems getting them into the
office and will I panic if the staff comes in and out of the exam rooms while
they are loose? I didn’t on both counts.
They did pretty well.
We got home sometime after 10:30.
They are fine Sky is just over 14 lbs. and Tiger is 17 lbs. so guess who
else is going on a diet. The Vet
recommended that I use Fancy feast and stay away from fishy stuff. Great. ¼ of kibble and take it away if they
don’t finish it at the meals. Feed them
twice a day. I have to say it already
hit a snag. Sky knocked over a small
container I had on a ledge outside my room and began noshing on it. There is always tonight. Tiger is one cranky kitty. I found her hissing at Sky at least three
times since we home. For a while they
were in opposite ends of the house and earlier they were sleeping at my feet on
the bed.
Been chatting with Liz and Jim about it. Jim told me what he gives kitten and how many
times. Liz and I moved the discussion
from cats to humans and how we are both doing with it.
So Liz was telling me how she was doing overall. She just had her chemo session yesterday and
going very slow. She and Nel going to an
early dinner with Adam and his wife as they are leaving for a week in London
for work. The little ones will be with
Olga’s Mom. I want to go! Liz was also telling me her tentative plans
for South Carolina Trip near the end of the month.
She is hoping to go buy train to Salisbury SC where our Cousin will
pick her up and take her to the kids’ house where she will spend about five
days with them. This had to change a few times as their latest school break had
changed because of the recent snow they had.
She will fly home after the five days.
I have a tour for LA Fitness in Orange at 10 am tomorrow with one
of the staff members John. Liz asked me
a whole bunch of questions that I need to ask. I have a few of my own. If I don’t like it there then I have the main
one at the mall.
It was really warm today I believe it got into the high 40’s. That in turn made a lot of the remaining snow
mounds melt more and the roads wet. Now it’s
41 degrees. Today’s temperatures have
managed to thaw out Oyster River out back.
Last week it was just like the Connecticut River and Housatonic River
with all the Ice Jams.
The authorities and the news reports have repeatedly reminded
everyone to not go out on to the river, or go to the swing bridge and a number
of other safety concerns. They have been
flooding places like Chester, Haddam, Kent, and a number of places. They had to bring in another Coast Guard
cutter to break the ice in the Connecticut River.
I had Chinese food for dinner from the restaurant where Liz and
Nelson got it from last Friday. I got
Sesame Chicken with broccoli and rice. I always forget they give you plain
white rice to go with your meal and inevitably I get the fried rice. I got chicken this time. I will have it for dinner tomorrow.
For now the kitties and I getting ready to settle in for the night…
