Semi busy

 I got my refunds in the last ten days and the Federal refund was finally released (or unpending) last night.  I have already scheduled a payment for the credit card.  I then get a notification yesterday from  the Tax alerting the stimulus is not put on as income.  I didn’t do it anyway but I don’t understand the rest of the letter.

I finally got to see a deer in the complex the other morning.  I don't know where he was coming from but he was heading towards the back of the woods facing cedarhurst Lane.

I learned this past week that neighbor in unit 3 moved to a nursing care facility and the unit will have new owners in April.

The weather this week has been crazy.  Last Saturday a snow squall.  Midweek we had 70 degree weather.  This morning ice storm that closed the cities schools.

• It seems lately I haven’t been feeling great.  Between the sniffling, sneezing and dry coughs.  I had some gastro pains (definitely food related) and my hands cramped up on me a few times at work.  It could be the foods I eat and the stress.  Yes I have been stressed because of work.  There I said it.  That will be under the work entry later.

• Anything that doesn’t go smoothly for me I get really frustrated.  If I am typing and the wrong key gets pressed-stupid shit like that.  I dropped the laptop  and that aggravated me.  

I finally got print out my FMLA form and have it sent to dr. Sonia. I was told it would take a couple days and then another 5 to 7 days for standard to take care of it.

I hope it's in time for my next infusion and appointment.

Making Progess

 We are now working on dates for the mail from the beginning of February .  JT is still unsure of herself about it all and a part of me thinks she is playing me.  It frustrates me a little.  However, I am sure I have made people frustrated with my actions and behaviors.  She had to  thursday off and I am hoping I will be further along in the dates.

On other news I had called IT to fix the zoom mechanism and now it's working.   My computer screen on the scanning computer had a loose wire.  It's all fixed now.

We had a zoom committee meeting on Tuesday.  As I am writing this I am thinking back to a phone conversation I had with Kamisha who has stepped back from the Committee because she was not getting answers from key people and it was becoming frustrating.  I shared my experiences with  our lead organizer/steward with Kamisha and I could feel the annoyance.  It was on different matters but when she doesn’t answer or respond to phone calls for a reason it's frustrating.

Kamisha came into the meeting and explained her reasons.  There is something going on with a member and she messed up on her job and she may not have it (not Kamisha) as of now...  The person is someone I know fairly well and is usually on one of the text chats but she has been missing from it.

On Wednesday of this week, members of the Finance Dept were moving on to our floor.  Some of them I haven’t seen in like three years. TimG is one of them.  He tells me his family has grown since I saw him last at George Street.

Took my time cleaning the house

 

I started the cleaning before 10 basically Laundry and dusting.  I waited until late in the day to vacuum.  I still have to wash the floors but I think that can be done in the morning before I tackle the guest room/office. 

Today was absolutely beautiful it felt more like a spring day instead of winter but it’s supposed to change early tomorrow morning.  We are supposed to have snow for most of the day and clouds for the afternoon.  The last report I heard is we may get up to two inches. 

In preparation of the impending snowstorm I emptied the garbage and discovered I should have gone to the Trash hut closer to my place as the other one was completely full.  The one that was full was closer to the mailboxes and I was getting my mail.  I probably could have left it in the mailbox until Monday.  It was junk mail.  It got tossed when I got back.

I made dinner and washed the sofa blankets.  I will have to fix it in the morning.  They were uneven and I just didn’t feel like fixing it tonight. 

I spent the rest of the night watching TV for a bit until I fell asleep.  Now I am heading to bed.

Today is SKy's Turn

 

Today is Sky’s turn to go see Dr.SashaG for his annual checkup.  I will put him in the crate just before we leave.  It is usually a stressful time for both any of us at that time.  He has been fed and watered but he has not been forthcoming with the poop.  That’s another reason I am delaying his crating.  Well maybe it will be easy to get him in the crate.  He just crawled under the covers.  Oh the crate door has been open all week. 

However, Tiger has been more than willing to poop.  I guess she got tired of pooping on the bathroom floor and the shower stall because about 6 in the morning she was dropping the crap at the front door.  So in between writing I am deep cleaning the boxes.   Of course she was told it was naughty but if you follow me for a long time you know I don’t stay mad at them for long.  I always think of what was my part in it? 

I have found Tiger in her normal spots for lounging in the Livingroom.  She has also sat on one of the self-warming beds I have in front of the entertainment center.  On Wednesday I think I may have posted a picture of the two of them sleeping behind each other and I called it synchronizing cat napping.  They both had their paws out.  IT was really funny.

It is now a couple of hours later and we are home.  He was quite vocal on the way there and a few times while there.   We signed up for the Vax4life program so I won’t have to worry about prices in the future.  I opted to not get blood work done but got him the bravecto flea thing and will get that again in June.  This whole thing came to $277.  Now he is back under the covers sleeping. 

I was thinking of going to the pet supply store and get a few more cans of wet food because I have 3 days’ worth and the next delivery is on the 18^th.  If I run out of the can I will just give them the kibble until the delivery next week.

Saw Liz

 On Friday night before the so called Ice storm was to hit.  She had the desk calendar and some food for me and then we chatted for oh an hour.  She was telling me how Cheryl’s husband is doing.  Apparently not good. He actually went to work recently.  It was the first time in a while

Then she asked me about the budget and she said to me “and don’t say it's fine.  I look back and should have stood up to her.  This is a discussion I can’t seem to win with her.  I told her the bills are paid and that’s it.

When Dave stopped by on Sunday  to put up the seascape painting among the things he said is that Liz thanked him for being my friend.  He had a quizzical look on his face and the more I thought about it.  Does she think he is my only friend?

We have been texting all week.  Short messages and all and its not a subject I am going to be bringing up unless she does it again.  I did ask her about the price of the haircut I got last October but she couldn’t remember.

I talked to my brother via text Wednesday.  I had just told him I was at the infusion center and he asked me how many times I told him.  I was surprised he did it privately.  IT was a concern to me that it may not be him but maybe James jr.

Thursday was James Jr. 's birthday.  I sent him a message via FB.  It was a 9 year old memory birthday wish and I just added more to it this year.  I have seen where many have done that.  I don’t know how old he is.  I hate asking his father every year.

I heard from my friend LisaC the other day.  She says she hasn’t forgotten our “date”.  She suggested that we have pizza in March.  Sounds good to me. :) She also said she would explain what happened last month.  I hope she is okay.

My Friend Cyn in the Finding friends group lost a friend yesterday.  She had been ill and apparently couldn’t recover as well as she had hoped.  Apparently she has several animals.

The group got together at PaulaL’s home on Wednesday.  It was pizza all around considering it was Pizza day.  Next week we will return to the Shoreline diner.

I am still trying to figure out what to bring to the annual Chocolate and Hearts brunch later this month.  I might bring pasta salad but I will think some more on it.

Still Playing catch up.

 It snowed this morning, but not bad driving conditions.  One thing  is I left my ID at home so getting on the elevators I had to borrow someone else’s ID or rely on someone else to let me in.  When I have to print I can manually type it in.

I started off working on the claim forms and they seem to be doing okay.  I had to rescan them to Christina and Linda because they showed up wrong. I just have to remember that when I scan.

Those letters/audits that we thought went to Donna do not and ED say I haven’t seen them in a while. Now I am afraid to send them and wonder if I should CC her.  I will have to do them the way I do the DCX For Credentialing.  

I have started working on Jan 21st mail and have to remember to scan the appeals individually to Reimbursement and the ones with no names go to ED.

There are still installations for certain things going on.  We are still waiting on tables for the mail area.   I am not sure when they will be in but in the mean time we have to take the mail outgoing mail downstairs and bring our stuff upstairs.            

I am trying to keep up on the mail that needs to be scanned to individuals and hopefully keep those the happiest.

We are still trying to find places where we can put the work.  Usually centralized for each of the types.  My messy desk is not going to be one of them. 

                                                                         

Yay its the weekend

 

It’s been a few days since I had a chance to write.  Wednesday I went to the meetup in Guilford.  There were many of us and it was great.  There were ten of us and we talked about everything.  Some sad some funny, and it was great.  We were there until about 7:30 or so.  Next week the diner is closed for break and so we are going to meet at Paula L’s home.  I can’t wait.  Stephanie invited us to a super bowl party before the weekend started but by Saturday night had to cancel because she has to work.

The Move at work went pretty well.  Some of us got to move a lot of our stuff up Thursday and Friday we were all set up with our Computers our phones were not however.  I wasn’t able to finish everything that day with the mail but there is always Monday.  I have Wednesday off for my infusion.  I still have to fill out paper work for the secondary FMLA insurance we acquired. 

All week long we had clouds and semi warm temperatures (mid-thirties).  Thursday and Friday we had rain and some icy conditions but that didn’t happened to Friday into Saturday.  Many Schools were closed in anticipation for the storm.   The snow and ice melted by Saturday afternoon when it hit the mid-twenties.  Sunday was sunny and in the teens in the morning and 26 as the day progressed.

The cats are doing well.  Tiger has been taking her meds successfully.  I noticed she walked normally on her lame leg for about ten minutes.  Other than they have been sleeping, sitting, and doing cat things.  I just ordered more litter last night and hope it will be here by Monday.

I cleaned the house on Saturday but it didn’t seem to last long.  I will clean it again on Wednesday after my infusion.  I spent the rest of the day in my pajamas and watched TV.    I took a few naps too.

Sunday I did laundry.  There wasn’t a lot to do but I wanted to get it done early.  I sent the dishwasher through as well because the cat dishes were all used up.  I did some other stuff and then in the afternoon I went to do bingo.  I went grocery shopping at Big Y.

I didn’t do the taxes yet because I needed to check one more place for some information and they don’t have weekend hours (the mutual funds account I have). I definitely will do it sooner rather than later.

I am glad the week is almost over 2/3/22

 

Work has been busy and a little stressful for me, because as much as I worked on the mail it didn’t seem to get down to a really manageable amount.  There were some days there wasn’t a lot of mail but I still had more that had a lot.  On top of that I didn’t do any packing of the cubicles until this afternoon.   I did manage to condense the number of bins I did have and brought them to my new location.  I hope I left enough room for the techs to set up my computers for each place.  

Most of us I think like the new space except for one or two people AC being one of them.  I don’t know why she doesn’t but she won’t talk about it.  She is in the same aisle as I am but about 4 seats away from us.  Even in a meeting earlier this week Bob had given us more info about the seating arrangements and the reminder to be aware of our neighbors.  I am literally right behind Supervisor bob’s glass fishbowl. 

I know that I have been coming home most nights exhausted and not doing much in the line of housekeeping.  I did make dinner for a few nights but other than that I had Chinese food for Chinese New Year and I went to the Diner for the weekly meetup.

I did some of that tonight and probably more before the end of the weekend.  I will also be doing the taxes this weekend.  That brings me to this little annoyance.  I was checking the status of the taxes for the condo.  It wasn’t showing up for the payment and I learned that the payment was applied to old place.  That was my fault for not including the list number for the real estate but in order for me to get the tax bill I have to get a change of address.  I don’t know if I can do that without messing up the Estate/Trustee.  The woman I spoke with transferred to the condo and everything is good.  I hope.

WE have another letter from the Property manager coming in the mail today (love informed delivery) and that has me worried.  I have been finding myself being loud in the condo.  I am wondering if the neighbors heard me.  Whole bunch scenarios are going through my head.  I am wondering if it has to do with generators.  It turned out to be the final results of the permanent Generators.

I guess we can have them but we need to put a request into the Committee and get city approval as well.
