Some of the Girls

 Some of the girls and I will be getting together on Saturday for my birthday.  Spending time at the beach and then dinner.  I am not really in the mood to sit at the beach for two hours.  I don’t want to hurt anyone's feelings but I have so much to do at the condo before the reunion.  


We are going to Lorenzo's in West Haven that night.  I have not eaten there but I have driven past it several times.  As you can see it's Italian and I picked out ravioli for that night.  I realize it may change by the time I get there.


I hope Paula will be at the meetup tonight.  It's been a few weeks since we saw her.  I am not so sure Cyn will be there either.  Laura and Steph won't make it.  Don't know about Jackie.  Not sure about Faith.     


I heard from Laura this morning and her arm is feeling much better.  It will take a few more days I guess.  I will find out more on Saturday.


I am getting excited, nervous and a little overwhelmed.  Everyone has given their final headcount.  Jim announced a few days ago that his son Jamie will be in attendance.  I usually leap for joy but because I chose to read a whole bunch of articles and message boards about etiquette  I winced.  I wasn’t sure if Liz would pitch a bitch and she didn't.  


Before you all ask.  We were not including the off spring of any cousins.   It was just going to be us.  I realized it's not my job.  Donna or Liz, anyone else on the “planning” committee could have sent an email off the list and explained to him the situation.  I hope it wont be a problem


The state political world is mourning the death of the first state Comptroller and former Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman.  Okay so the Democratic Party is mourning and probably her close friends and maybe the Republicans but I have not seen anything.  I met her a few times over the years when I was involved with the democrats.  She was wonderful


In the mean time I have some things to finish or work on before Panera tonight

One Day Closer to the Weekend

Today was awesome. I did wake up early but stayed in bed a little longer than I wanted to but that is okay. I got the clothes out of the dryer from last night and watched TV for a bit. I got ready for work and then Mom got up for her meeting at Bridges. The drive to work was great (hardly anyone on the roads or in the parking garage). The crunch was on to get as much AR in as possible for not only Month end but fiscal year end. I think we did pretty darn well. I was concerned that there wasn’t a lot of volume of mail for being the end of month or year but it was explained to me that it’s okay because it’s the time of year (huh?). Anyway, I managed to get all of the mail done and was able to put another dent in the readdress mail. I worked until 6 and did the NOPPS. This will be the only OT for the next week or so. Turning 55

Today My Sister turns 55. Unfortunately all I did was sing her the birthday song. When Mom and I arrived at her house she was having dinner with Rich and Nelson. Actually Nelson was in the backroom napping and Liz and Rich were chatting and eating pizza. Mom had a card for Liz and handed it to her and Liz made some stupid joke “well you spelled my name right!” I gave her a swat. I think about it and wanted to slug her. She pisses me off when she pulls that shit. We stayed for about 15 20 minutes to get a latest scoop on Jess’s wedding apparently some of the gifts were taken or misplaced. We talked about going to the C bridal shower on Saturday. Liz is not sure if she is going. Once that was established we headed home. We had dinner and then I came upstairs and spent the evening watching NCIS and now I am going to bed.

Monday Musings 6/16/2025

  I was going to say it's been busy.   It's just another Monday at work.    I arrived at approximately 7:30 and engaged in a discussion with KB and BL (Administrators) before commencing work.    The health logic sorting commenced at 11:30 following the completion of document printing.        I got them all sorted and ready to be scanned by 1. I spent the afternoon scanning but grew tired.   After work, I was glad to come home, relax, and cook since I had no other plans.    Sky emerged from the closet when I fed him.   Now that I think I will go to bed early.
