Dear Friends:


Happy Sunday to you.  It is absolutely beautiful here.  It was 67 degrees this morning.  As usual I was  procrastinating at getting ready for Bingo.  Partially because of this computer and the other part  TV watching.

Why is the computer annoying me?  Well there was a Java update yesterday and once it was done IT gave me options to include new tool bars and one of them is Delta Search.  It is making it very slow even though I have 36 to 48  Mps.  It keeps telling me that I need to update media players and used FLV media players.  Its frustrating.  I tried to remove the Delta Search Tool bar but I can’t seem to do it.  I made sure I declined a few other things but this is ridiculous.  I am afraid of doing anything else.

I got to bingo around 9:30 and met the newest Recreational therapist.  Marnie is an art Therapy student at Albertus Magnus college in New Haven.  We started bingo a little after 10 and had a pretty big group.  Happily we finished by  11 as St peter’s was coming for the Eucharist service they usually have on the second Sunday of the month. 

Before I left I called Liz & Nelson’s house but I found out that Liz and Audrey were already here.  So I rushed home and they were  indeed visiting Mom.  They stayed until 12.  Audrey was eating a Hagan daas bar.

After they left Mom and I did our own things.  Mom went to the store and I started laundry and surfed the net.  The computer is still acting a little wonky but I am not going to let it get to me. 

While the laundry was being done I watched TV.  Various movies and then we had a nice dinner of roasted chicken with vegetables.  

This week I have  quite a number of things going on.  Doctor’s appointments, Ice cream socials and then I will be spending time with Packy and Preston for the weekend into the following week.

Mom has a few meetings and Doctor’s appointments and that’s about it.  She  will probably be continuing preparations for the meet and greet at the end of next month.

However, for tonight I am going to bed…Have a great one.

One Day Closer to the Weekend

Today was awesome. I did wake up early but stayed in bed a little longer than I wanted to but that is okay. I got the clothes out of the dryer from last night and watched TV for a bit. I got ready for work and then Mom got up for her meeting at Bridges. The drive to work was great (hardly anyone on the roads or in the parking garage). The crunch was on to get as much AR in as possible for not only Month end but fiscal year end. I think we did pretty darn well. I was concerned that there wasn’t a lot of volume of mail for being the end of month or year but it was explained to me that it’s okay because it’s the time of year (huh?). Anyway, I managed to get all of the mail done and was able to put another dent in the readdress mail. I worked until 6 and did the NOPPS. This will be the only OT for the next week or so. Turning 55

Today My Sister turns 55. Unfortunately all I did was sing her the birthday song. When Mom and I arrived at her house she was having dinner with Rich and Nelson. Actually Nelson was in the backroom napping and Liz and Rich were chatting and eating pizza. Mom had a card for Liz and handed it to her and Liz made some stupid joke “well you spelled my name right!” I gave her a swat. I think about it and wanted to slug her. She pisses me off when she pulls that shit. We stayed for about 15 20 minutes to get a latest scoop on Jess’s wedding apparently some of the gifts were taken or misplaced. We talked about going to the C bridal shower on Saturday. Liz is not sure if she is going. Once that was established we headed home. We had dinner and then I came upstairs and spent the evening watching NCIS and now I am going to bed.

When do you begin planning for Thanksgiving?

Earlier today I wrote that I had been reading a blog that was from Virginia or Maryland and they discussed Thanksgiving preparations and they started their blog with a question “When do you start your preparations?” I asked a couple of co-workers and they looked at me quizzically and then finally said two days before the actual holiday.   Another one looked at me and says “that’s because they don’t cook”.   But he did tell me some start now.   I asked Mom these same questions.   She tells me that Jim is coming for thanksgiving this year and she did invited Ethel and Diane for dinner.   They have not given an answer yet.   Anyway, Mom tells me she started making the pies this week.   She has the mince meat already done and in the freezer.   She will be making her pie crusts in the next few days.   In the days to come she probably will put more of a menu together (that will include seafood for Diane) that also will have various sid...
