Had another busy day

I just didn’t have a chance to write until now. I probably could have earlier this evening but I think my computer was really slow and not connecting well. This annoys the living crap out of me. Mom doesn’t seem to be having any connectivity problems but I seem to always.




I spent most of the day scanning close to 43 batches in total. Now that I write it in a sentence it still doesn’t seem a lot. Some of the batches had 130 pieces. I worked until 6 tonight. The mail volume was still three hundred pieces. The lockbox was small. There were 88 pieces that came from finance they were holding on to it for a reason or another. The US post mail was very heavy at first but I managed to get it opened and delivered by 2. I was able to prepare some labels for re-address mail and they will be sent out by Thursday.



The lobby mail I normally pick up early (when time allows it or the volume of the other is light but today it hadn’t arrived until late. By then I was already involved with the scanning again.



Before the day ended I called Gayle. She sounded a little down and that I can understand. She says she is bored. She sent her love and we sent her ours. Mama Joanie made a comment earlier in the day that may be more of a reality. That is “if she comes back (meaning maybe she won’t be).



You remember yesterday when I wrote about the Atlas Restaurant in New Haven closing? Well here is an article about it. I didn’t even know the second one had closed and I walk by it frequently. Only a few people knew of the closing. Others never heard of it or went that way to the center of town. Several times I have tried to save it to my hard drive unsuccessfully. I even tried to convert it to word. Actually it worked this time.



SIL stopped by this evening. She was running some errands. It looks like she won’t be moving any time really soon. Mom seems to think is not sure what she will be doing anytime soon. Tomorrow night will be the two month anniversary of Bob’s death. There is a beautiful picture of him with Diane in NY on Diane’s Facebook page.





Well the latest amount of laundry is done. I need ot get to sleep. Tomorrow will be a repeat of today’s activities except for the Woman’s club meeting. I am one of the hostesses.
