Mid Week REflections

I can’t believe it is Wednesday night already.  I have been wishing the week away and it is moving quickly to the weekend.  As I have mentioned this week I have been pretty tired both in the morning and late night.  I have been trying to go to bed at a decent hour but there are shows I like to watch or do things before going to bed that takes up the time.  I have been trying to get up and out of the hose by 7 most of the week and have met with mixed results.  As I mentioned in the last entry OT is going to be stopped but I am hoping that I will be able to come in early and work on the readdress mail and what ever else type mail is needed.

At some point today I was giving a status report to Judy and her words were “I know”.  She has probably been keeping an eye on me every time she walks by my office.  She can see the progress I am making and I do feel good about it but as I am writing this now I can’t help but think she was channeling Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

The drive home was a little agitating.  It was slow and I really wanted to get to the dentist on time.  I have to confess I may have been driving a little fast.  I made it in plenty of time and chatted w/ Mrs. A.  We talked about families and death. My cleaning and exam took nearly an hour and half.  I called Mom to let her know I was going to be later than planned.

While I was still at the dentist I got a couple of calls.  One of them was from Sis.  She said she would take care of me the day of the oral surgery.  That is great.  Now Mom and or Jim (or both of them) do not have to worry about that.

The second phone call was from the deacon at St Agnes.  I didn’t recognize his voice at first and as the conversation progressed I realized what it was about.  He asked me questions as about mass attendance, why I didn’t go to St Mary’s and ask them for it, and a few other questions that I told Mom and she felt those questions were uncalled for.  When he asked if I go to the church I told him yes you have seen me.  As I think about how Mom felt it was inappropriate for him to be asking the questions I do agree..  It also got me to thinking maybe it is time I start attending mass regularly (there is a 7:30 mass on Sundays).  Anyway I have to pick it up at the rectory.  I think he said there is a box or something I can get it out of.  Either that between the hours of 9:30 and 2:30.

Well it is time for me to go to sleep.  Have a great night.

Last Day of Vacation

Considering that today is my last day of vacation.   I am going to make sure things that were not done (housework mostly) are done...
