Glad to be home

The drive home was better than last night.  The skyline was lovely just the same.  The clouds were out but the sun was setting in the southwest sky.  The roads were pretty dry themselves.   I got to M&R’s house some time after 4:30.   I noticed that the mailbox was missing.  I called Roberta and left a message.  I later discovered it was placed on the front porch stairs.  Junior went to her customary place and for the first time in a while she allowed me to hold her for a long time.  I kept petting her back and talking with her.  She rubbed her face on my shoulder and across my chest.

After the appreciation fest I got her dinner and then I cleaned the litter box for the next session.  I called Mom to let her know where I was.  I had a few minutes and watched NCIS.

When I got home Mom was getting into her pajamas and I was relaxing and then we had dinner.  It was leftovers from last night.  Now we are watching various programs.  I just watched Mom asleep in front of the TV. 

The oral Surgeon called today and my procedure will be next Friday.  I will get off the Coumadin from Tuesday until Friday Morning.  I will have it checked Thurs the 15th.  I am really looking forward to this.  I think this time I will go to work after the procedure. 

I have been noticing a lot of spam both on my journaling list and a number of times on my blogs (especially on the livejournal one).  For the email list I keep doing as recommended blocking and reporting and still I get the spam.   As for the spam responses on the blog I just delete.

I discovered that I can save emails from my AT&T email account.  When I used IE they would never save right.  I can save them with Firefox.

Well I am going to go to bed now.  I was falling asleep through Hercules tonight and that’s partly because of the Nyquil and I am tired.  I would really like to get rid of this cold soon.

One Day Closer to the Weekend

Today was awesome. I did wake up early but stayed in bed a little longer than I wanted to but that is okay. I got the clothes out of the dryer from last night and watched TV for a bit. I got ready for work and then Mom got up for her meeting at Bridges. The drive to work was great (hardly anyone on the roads or in the parking garage). The crunch was on to get as much AR in as possible for not only Month end but fiscal year end. I think we did pretty darn well. I was concerned that there wasn’t a lot of volume of mail for being the end of month or year but it was explained to me that it’s okay because it’s the time of year (huh?). Anyway, I managed to get all of the mail done and was able to put another dent in the readdress mail. I worked until 6 and did the NOPPS. This will be the only OT for the next week or so. Turning 55

Today My Sister turns 55. Unfortunately all I did was sing her the birthday song. When Mom and I arrived at her house she was having dinner with Rich and Nelson. Actually Nelson was in the backroom napping and Liz and Rich were chatting and eating pizza. Mom had a card for Liz and handed it to her and Liz made some stupid joke “well you spelled my name right!” I gave her a swat. I think about it and wanted to slug her. She pisses me off when she pulls that shit. We stayed for about 15 20 minutes to get a latest scoop on Jess’s wedding apparently some of the gifts were taken or misplaced. We talked about going to the C bridal shower on Saturday. Liz is not sure if she is going. Once that was established we headed home. We had dinner and then I came upstairs and spent the evening watching NCIS and now I am going to bed.

Monday Musings 6/16/2025

  I was going to say it's been busy.   It's just another Monday at work.    I arrived at approximately 7:30 and engaged in a discussion with KB and BL (Administrators) before commencing work.    The health logic sorting commenced at 11:30 following the completion of document printing.        I got them all sorted and ready to be scanned by 1. I spent the afternoon scanning but grew tired.   After work, I was glad to come home, relax, and cook since I had no other plans.    Sky emerged from the closet when I fed him.   Now that I think I will go to bed early.
