I feel like crap

I have had this cold since the middle of last week.  Today seems to be whooping my butt.   I have been sleeping or watching TV mostly.  I have had a nose bleed and I am not sure if I should be extremely worried about it especially with the Coumadin level being so high.  The Oral surgeon says that if I bleed profusely that I should go to the doctor.  I have gone to see Junior this morning and I will when I get back from Church later. 

Milford continues to recover from this storm.  I think city and state officials did a great job getting things done.  Yesterday there was a Sandy Relief and Recovery Fair at City Hall for those families still in need of things.  There are meals and water distribution centers at different points in the city as well locations for charging stations for cell phones.

The UI and CL&P continue to work on areas still with now power and according Senator Gayle Slosberg the locations were in the Point Beach and Hill side Avenue area.

Sis and BIL got their power back last night.  They had been staying at a hotel at Long Wharf in New Haven.  Jim just sent a message that he got his power on but had to miss the waffle breakfast I guess the boy scouts were having.

Mom left at 4 for her knitwits club wake.  One of the sisters of the members passed away this week.  I followed suit for the 4:30 mass.  Liz was going to be the lectern at that mass.  Mom was home by the time I got home from feeding kitty.

We had pork for dinner with cabbage and it was delicious.  Now we are just watching TV.

One Day Closer to the Weekend

Today was awesome. I did wake up early but stayed in bed a little longer than I wanted to but that is okay. I got the clothes out of the dryer from last night and watched TV for a bit. I got ready for work and then Mom got up for her meeting at Bridges. The drive to work was great (hardly anyone on the roads or in the parking garage). The crunch was on to get as much AR in as possible for not only Month end but fiscal year end. I think we did pretty darn well. I was concerned that there wasn’t a lot of volume of mail for being the end of month or year but it was explained to me that it’s okay because it’s the time of year (huh?). Anyway, I managed to get all of the mail done and was able to put another dent in the readdress mail. I worked until 6 and did the NOPPS. This will be the only OT for the next week or so. Turning 55

Today My Sister turns 55. Unfortunately all I did was sing her the birthday song. When Mom and I arrived at her house she was having dinner with Rich and Nelson. Actually Nelson was in the backroom napping and Liz and Rich were chatting and eating pizza. Mom had a card for Liz and handed it to her and Liz made some stupid joke “well you spelled my name right!” I gave her a swat. I think about it and wanted to slug her. She pisses me off when she pulls that shit. We stayed for about 15 20 minutes to get a latest scoop on Jess’s wedding apparently some of the gifts were taken or misplaced. We talked about going to the C bridal shower on Saturday. Liz is not sure if she is going. Once that was established we headed home. We had dinner and then I came upstairs and spent the evening watching NCIS and now I am going to bed.

Monday Musings 6/16/2025

  I was going to say it's been busy.   It's just another Monday at work.    I arrived at approximately 7:30 and engaged in a discussion with KB and BL (Administrators) before commencing work.    The health logic sorting commenced at 11:30 following the completion of document printing.        I got them all sorted and ready to be scanned by 1. I spent the afternoon scanning but grew tired.   After work, I was glad to come home, relax, and cook since I had no other plans.    Sky emerged from the closet when I fed him.   Now that I think I will go to bed early.
